Yesterday I rode out to Shakeys Pizza in Shibuya. It is about 5-10 minutes walk from the station. It has pasta, pizza, fried potatoes and curry rice all you can eat for 850 yen. Absolute bargain especially considering one ~20cm pizza from Dominos or Pizza Hut in Japan costs more than 2000yen. Shakeys has some nice desert pizzas too. I took this shot at Osaki (I think) on the way home.

Welcome to the forum. As you are from Sydney I will give you a piece of advice to protect your valuable asset and loved family member - don't give it to Luke

I rode my pushy out to Nakano today to a bit of an unusual mall. A shop selling dyed animal skeletons in bottles of fluid (didn't like), a gun shop and a bunch of random other shops. Supposedly there is a shop that only sells stuff that has been left on trains but I didn't see it. This garden gnome (maybe about 10 - 15 meters tall???) was out the front of an art school/gallery around Ebisu/Meguro. I don't remember the bonnet on this being drift spec when I took the photo but it looks like it here. I think it is just the lighting though as the back part seems to line up properly

That is a shame that you have such a pain in the arse problem. You might be lucky and find someone who is willing to help you out but it is more likely that they will want renumeration of some kind. Have you sorted out a method to pay a potential mechanic for his time to troubleshoot your problem over the net/phone?

Loving those black Supras. If I had my way you would win the most awesome post of thread award, may not be the most coveted award given the competition though

Good luck with it mate. I hope you find a good blue slip place to take it to. If you take it to a place and they say they need you to spend thousands of dollars in order to get it back to close to stock for the blue slip get them to make a list of exactly what needs to be changed and post back here. Don't let them start working on it.

It was fine. I can read Japanese a little but the people at Toyota Rentacar just set the GPS language to Japanese. Then my friend input my destination so I was set. I have used another friends car with the GPS set to Japanese for short trips too (about an hour and a half) and it was fine. It did say some words that I haven't come across before: Chokushin - continue straight ahead Gouryuu - merging traffic

I rode my bike to Shibuya today and took a few photos. A local festival:

I Like Your Old Brap Better Than Your New Brap
*LOACH* replied to *LOACH*'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
I thought they might have been discontinuing the 13B and focussing on the 1.6 litre rotary - only my assumption based on the low volume they produce though. If they do bring out a turbo rotary powered car that weighs about as much as the FT86 it should be pretty popular - considering how popular the FT86 is and it is probably a little underpowered. Could be pricey though. -
Yeah it is not fun. When the pain was at it's worst I went to the hospital at 1:00am and stayed for an hour or so having tests etc. Then the doctor told me I wouldn't be able to play volleyball till it was fixed. Like turning off a light switch the pain disappeared. I know the pain instantaneously disappears and slowly reappears with those types of blockages but the timing had a touch of miracle about it Anyway thanks so much for the information in the PM, it is just the sort of information I am looking for. Most appreciated.

I am just wondering if anyone has any information regarding having an operation in Japan. I have a kidney outlet tube stenosis (dialation) and will need an operation for it (the Urologist is quite sure but I have to wait one week for the Radiologist's diagnosis). It is done through small holes using a camera. Should I come back to Australia and have it done it there instead? Anyway thanks for any help.

Best First Skyline For Under 7'500?
*LOACH* replied to jack Jv's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
How about an R31 that has already had dollars spent on it? Lighter weight and higher capacity engine than 32s/34s makes for a great street car. -
Welcome and good luck with the search for the 33.

Like I said, you get bonus points However, as you have made me feel guilty about not offering a proper prize I will offer a prize from a hyakuen shop to anyone who can identify this fish. I saw it in what I think was a salt water pond next to Shinagawa aquarium. It is a schooling fish and the adults are about the same size as an adult koi. I have seen it in quite shallow water and it may be a surface feeder. As a nice segue into my next group of photos I also saw a school of those fish in a canal connected to Tokyo bay when I was riding to Tsukuji. Therefore, without further ado, here are some photos on my pushy trip to, and around, Tsukuji. Needs to be less drift carnage and carrying a decent paintjob. Riding the endless smooth, well maintained roads of Japan it is sometimes nice to be reminded of Sydney: Possibly a Ferrari but not sure. What I do know is that as I was lowering the camera from my eyes after taking the final shot of this car another, much newer, unmistakable Ferrari passed in the opposite direction before I could take a shot. I said a bad word. Deserving of a photo as it is what gets me around, my Giant Rock 5500. She may be far to small for me and be a hard tail but I love her none the less. Lastly an R33 parked on the side of the road
