  1. Driving a Skyline will cost you your ability to tolerate driving anything NA ever again. Unless of course you buy an NA Skyline in which case it will cost you the respect of others.
  2. Welcome. Good luck with the research and eventual puchase.
  3. Looks good. How did you make the gearknob?
  4. Consider getting a daily to get you to and from work till you sort it out. If you are stressing out now you might end up making things worse - ie drilling through a water jacket etc. I am guessing it will make things a lot easier if you take the head off and get an engine reconditioner to replace the studs.
  5. Evos are great cars when new but if you are only looking to spend about 10k it may not be very reliable especially if you, or one of the posssibly many previous owners, have modded it.
  6. Great website. It clearly demonstrates the real world advantages of Labour's NBN in real world situations. To see these benefits that will affect us now and then consider how much filesizes may grow in the coming decades leaves no doubt in my mind that it is worth paying a bit of extra money up front for the NBN.
  7. +1 You aren't going to be getting anything much quicker and still be reliable for under 10k especially if you want it to be newer than 96. If all you want is straight line speed than an LS1 Commodore with NOS will do the job and be in budget but personally I would probably stick with the R34 and save up for a bigger turbo (GT35 etc) with all the supporting mods.
  8. I would be looking at cars that have had big dollars spent on them - maybe a newer generation Camaro or Dodge. A second hand Hennessy or other tuning shop built car would certainly be worth looking at (with 1000hp cars available). By the way are there any other jobs going there that you know of?
  9. I went to Shinagawa aquarium today. It has nothing on Osaka or even Nagoya but still well worth the visit for me. Bonus points if you spot something familiar in the first photo. Dolphin show and seal show I have no idea how Horseshoe crabs survive in the wild. Walk a bit, stack it, wriggle around on back exposing soft underside to any passing predators for a good minute or so, repeat process. Octopus Mean looking shark that has very interesting although somewhat evil looking eyes I will leave there so I don't give it all away.
  10. I think this is for a sedan not a hatchback. It is also for a 2009-10 model. http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b144979036 This one is for the sports wagon: Part numbers GS2A-51961 GS2A 51961 GS2A51961 http://page22.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l155555570 This one is for a wagon. 11. Started on safety shavers when I was a teenager but got sick of the little cuts and mess of the foam so switched to electrics and never looked back. Does suck ass having to go over the same spot 20 times though.
  12. Today was a day of sads: Old Nismo Omori factory. I am suprised the building/site hasn't been taken by over another company - must be huge amounts of rent money being lost each month.
  13. Plenty of twin turbo RB30 VLs around. Here are a couple:
  14. Welcome and good luck with the purchase.
  15. Somewhere to pee for when the Yakuza lock you in there... I think... Could be wrong though...Rear window squirter bottle? Fill it with the same stuff as your windscreen squirters bottle?
  16. How cool are 32GTRs?... and your colour/mag combo looks awesome. Welcome!
  17. Not that it is needed as Cowboy is doing a great job of demonstrating the benefits of the NBN but people might also want to consider the physical aspects of both systems. Both systems require about 60 000 cabinets to be installed around Australia. The NBNs ones are the size of a couple of eskies whereas the Abbott proposal involves much larger cabinets. Also take into account the cabling will be much more of an eyesore with the copper network and the fact that the cabinets for the Abbott system require batteries which need to be replaced every few years.
  18. Nice mods too, seems like it would be a great driver. Welcome to the forums mate.
  19. Yeah the Coalitions idea of buying back the copper network, which was originally owned by the taxpayer and sold off as part of privatisation is a much better idea. It is a little inefficient though, a much better idea is if the libs hire the Packers of the world Limo's which they can have driven past our houses and we just chuck our cash in through the open sunroof.
  20. I didn't realise that foreveralone Josh had found a way to self propagate. They seem to be popping up everywhere. We should probably work on a control solution to keep their numbers down. On another note welcome to the forums mate.
  21. Welcome to the forums mate. Euro cars tend to get trashed a bit on this forum for perceived issues with reliability and repair cost so do some searching here and elsewhere before you decide. Personally I love boost and would want the car to have it or it to be a viable mod option.
  22. Does anyone know any rental car companies in Japan that offer cheap one way rental cars (small cargo van). I want to pick the car up in Gifu and then drop it off in Tokyo. Apparently Mazda do the one way thing but they charge about 4 times the normal rental price for the one way trip. I will ask Toyota tomorrow but it would be great if anyone knows of any others.
  23. Thanks mate. I don't know why they came out decent, usually my photos are abysmal. By the way sorry about not replying to your PM - job searching and moving.
