  1. I thought Nick only had one leg...by shorts does he mean a tube sock with the end cut off?
  2. Do you plan on keeping the car after you have your full licence? If not maybe it is better to wait. Then you can get a turbo car and the world is your oyster. Turbocharged power is as good as sex. The advantage of turbocharging is that the pleasure comes whenever you put your foot down. The result of putting your foot down with a woman is a kick in the ballsack.
  3. BuuBox already gave a fantastic argument for why the government's cash package is a good idea: Here is an article about it: http://www.reuters.c...E82L07D20120322 So basically the Australian government gives Holden $275 million on the provisor that GM injects $1 billion dollars from America into the Australian economy. Sounds to me like an awesome government decision - about a 3 to 1 return on your investment plus the original money stays in country.
  4. Really? WIthout the taxes what would be close to a manual SS Commodore for $52 277 or even more unlikely $54 377 for a wagon not to mention trying to find anything at all in any price range like the utes.
  5. No worries mate, good luck with it.
  6. Then cry as you watch it depreciate while the Calais with a history goes up in value.
  7. It isn't the unions fault and if the government is running the country so badly why is the economy doing so well. Would you prefer it if Australia was more like America where there is a class of working poor and the major auto manufacturers required massive bail outs from the government just to keep them soluble or even worse disappear completely like Pontiac. OT I will believe the end for Commodores and Falcons has come when I go to the respective websites and they aren't available for sale anymore. Those cars have been through a massive worldwide economic crisis and the Falcon made it through the energy crisis. The article seems to have a fair bit of hearsay in it. Will wait and see.
  8. You can try disconnecting the turbo timer too (the rough running makes me think it isn't the timer but it is worth a try). Depending on the timer/installation it can be as easy as removing the connections to the timer. However some timers are wired in series with the ignition so the car won't run without bridging/reconnecting certain wires. Here is a link on removing turbo timers: http://www.skylinesa...nspection-pics/
  9. Let your engine idle in neutral (ignition on) and check the RPM. Is it somewhere around 600-800RPM when warm? Did you change spark plugs and then notice the problem started? If so try changing to a different rating of spark plugs. Fuel injected engines don't usually diesel because once the ignition is off the fuel injectors stop supplying fuel. However if you have a sticky injector it might be allowing fuel in after the ignition is cut. In addition the sticky injector could have caused a build up of carbon in your cylinder which retains heat and can cause the engine to diesel. If the spark plugs and idle RPM are ok you might be best off getting it checked on a dyno as they will measure air/fuel ratios.
  10. Cheaper to get one imported from Japan especially with the Au$ being about 93yen. For example: http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU0004940125/index.html?TRCD=200002 http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU0004940125/index.html?TRCD=200002
  11. Could be dieseling. Unusual in fuel injected, especially turbocharged (lower compression), engines. Check your idle speed and air/fuel ratio.
  12. Will fit in hand luggage Actually they look pretty horrible in real life, funny propotions. Not too many around either.
  13. CPC custom plenums 0403 279 000. I haven't got one but I have heard good things about them.
  14. My local train station at Christmas time Hatsumoude - Japanese people often visit a local shrine shortly after the New Year begins to pray for good things etc. Another one from Hatsumoude (the kanji's reading is Hastumoude). I took a bunch of photos here but when I looked on the PC they were all out of focus except for these two. Kit Kat Azuki bean sandwich - famous food from the Tokai area. I went snowboarding and stayed overnight at a Japanese style inn. Fantastic view but there were no showers in the rooms (only the onsen) and it was almost as cold inside as out. For some reason the inside of the inn had some local wildlife stuffed and mounted. Skifields at Ontake. Not bad at all but I prefered Takasu. View from the skifields.
  15. Weld doors and get used to doing this: Problem solved.
  16. Especially if it only has a little GT35R hanging off it.
  17. LEARN HOW TO USE THE FORUM'S SPOILER FUNCTION OR AVOID POSTING SPOILERS ALTOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please... by the way Merry Christmas to all.
  18. One question: Would you pay for, own and drive that car that he urinated on and everyone knows he urinated on?
  19. I disagree. There were elements of satire in there but their closing comments and interviews lead me to believe that they thought that build was cool. They then add a bit of satire to the program so they can sit on the fence, see peoples reactions and if many people hate it MCM say they were just taking the piss. Episode is fail. I like the fact they are from the area I grew up in and as a previous poster said the DIY aspect of MCM is great but they destroy cars that a young fella on his Ps would love and modify. Hacking a Subaru Vivio in half was a travesty. I would love one of them right now.
  20. A wheel barrow with a missing wheel would chop it

  24. It is actually a bunch of options: rear wiper tinted windows Xenon headlights Glove box light Remote controlled entry and I think the trunk lid is remote controlled entry too but not quite sure as it just says トランクリッドト. The トランクリッド being the trunk and the ト possibly being "and".
