  1. Looks great in the videos, shame the graphics don't look spectacular and I am guessing it will be Xbox only?
  2. Thanks for the photos. Looks like a great day and your photo taking abilities are far better than mine. For the future you might want to upload the photos to photobucket or one of the other image hosting sites and copy the image link to your post so people don't have to click on them to view them. Also makes it easier if you are going to post them on multiple forums or want to show friends on the net.
  3. Thanks for your reply but I am in Japan so Jaycar is not an option. Also as shown on the attached picture in my previous post the camcorder cable has a different ground. I can cut and solder but would prefer not to, especially as the ground goes to each of the 3 RCA connectors.
  4. With all this talk of phones I have a request. Does anyone have (from an unused phone/player) one of those cables that goes from a headphone type plug to 3 RCA cables. (They came with Archos, Gigabeat, Creative Zen Vision Series, C own iAudio, Apple iBook, some Nokia phones etc etc. I need one for my Android tablet and can't find them. Even if I did find one it would probably cost a bit or be on the net requiring me to have a credit card, which I don't. I would prefer one with the proper connections, as per the pic below, but otherwise will just cut and solder. PM or reply here if you can help me out. Anyway thanks in advance.
  5. Has anyone used the chain lubricants that come in an aerosol can? You can buy them here for about $1.20 and they are specifically for bicycles. Any good or not? What do you recommend for chain/deraileur lube?
  6. I hate everything Apple but surely being lighter, thinner and having a faster processor is a good thing. I really wish my little Android tablet was all of those things especially lighter. Good that Apple are headed in the right direction at least. Still won't buy one otherwise I will need this new Iphone accessory:
  7. VIP do this as well as pre-purchase vehicle inspections. You make a cheque out to VIP and they purchase the car on your behalf. http://www.vipautomotivesolutions.com.au/about.html I have never used them but just came across them when I was searching for transport for my wagz.
  8. I didn't think you were being a smartass and I understand your point. My point is that there are already multiple racing categories (also less successful) where driver skill is virtually the only important criterion for being successful and the cars on the track are very similar. What we are concerned with, I guess, is the format of the premier racing category. Where the majority of the sponsorship money will go and what the TV stations will give the most coverage to. Personally I think that it was more popular in the Group A days than it is now as V8 Supercars.
  9. If all you want to watch is a bunch of the same cars racing go and watch the Suzuki Swift or HQ Holdens series
  10. I absolutely agree with the Group A idea. Watching the different cars in different classes go at each other was way more fun. Nowadays they have to do reverse grid positions etc to try to bring back some excitement. To me racing doesn't always have to be about driver skill. It is about having a solid team and that includes the unseen guys trying to get sponsors and organise the cars. If those people are doing their job well and that means their team is dominant for a season or two so be it. If a driver is dominant do we suddenly chop a leg off to bring him into line with the rest? Having the different classes in one race will always keep the interest up. Having those cars more closely related to ones that can be bought at a dealer, even if it is some homologated limited production run should be better for the industry as well.
  11. Looks fantastic.
  12. What version of Windows 7 are you running? I have Starter on a netbook (atom processor) only 2GB RAM and a normal HDD and it runs fine, might be worth doing some troubleshooting.
  13. This guy, he knows...oh hang on that is me...yeah just try Mini power tool data recovery. Free download and it is small...unless something has changed since I used it. Good luck with it.
  14. What part of it is actually impressive? The non removeable battery? The inferior talk time/standby time? The lack of removable memory? The fragile screen? The proprietary connector? The price? If it had Android 4 it would still be terrible by comparison.
  15. hehe cool...sorry for interruption, continue with CS talk.
  16. Warhammer?
  17. Loled, if I had any internets whatsoever I would give you at least 1.
  18. Good luck with selling yours anyway - looks like a nice bike.
  19. Before I buy it can you just bring it over so I can check it out. Here are some directions http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/distanceresult.html?p1=565&p2=57 thanks mate. I ended up buying the Giant anyway. Bit small but otherwise really happy with it. Any suggestions on stuff I should check or worthwhile parts swaps?
  20. I need a "new" bike and came across a second hand Giant Rock 5500 (possibly only sold in Japan - assembled in Taiwan) for the equivalent of about $300. I know stuff all about bikes but it is my daily transport so it is important that it is reliable. I would really appreciate anyones thoughts on it and also what to look for when buying secondhand. Here are some specs (just click on the blue tabs above the bikes name to cycle through the 3 pages): http://www.giant.co....&action=outline It has a couple of aftermarket bits too: a Catseye computer gizmo which has a magnetic sensor on the front wheel and some end bars for the handlebars, Thanks in advance!
  21. I also recommend that you ring him up several times using a differant name. Then visit him and ask that question. It is ok if you turn up to meet him wearing a name tag with your real first name as long as you wear a cunning disguise.
  22. Holden chat - post numbers 27 and 28 (on page 2) - one of which was your contribution. Alzheimers is awesome eh? Get to hide your own Easter Eggs and you are always meeting new people. I had an EA Auto wagon - for about 3 months during which time it had more parts replaced than a Bukkaemono racer trying to shave 11 seconds off his Wakefield time. (except the EA parts were not a figment of someones imagination). Then I saw the light...
  23. Missed Holden chat - so disappoint Tai1or Made- living with a
