  1. The upper right box starts with the following: セールスポイント Sales points オートフリートップ Auto free top (the type of camper it is) ETC electronic tag used for tollways The kanji are really hard to make out - the handwriting is almost as bad as mine. I will have a look but I doubt I will be able to get much more, sorry. 検査員記入 Inspectors comments
  2. How much for a Holden VL wagon?
  3. Depends on your situation. Ripping your own DVDs will give you the quality/filesize ratio you choose and you can be sure rips will play on your device once it is set up and tested. But it does take a fair bit of setting up. It also depends on what internet plan you are on at home. Personally I would prefer buying the DVDs at home and then just dling the torrents from the net. Piece of mind of having paid for originals and none of the hassles of ripping them. By the way, before buying a 32GB SD card check the prices as shops in Japan have the 16GB SDcards at a better yen/GB than 32GB. Therefore it is cheaper to buy 2x16GB SD cards than one 32GB. However I know of at least one shop in Australia that is selling the 32GB SD cards for less than double the price of 16GBs.
  4. and free internet places often have the network down, (from my experience about 50% although it has been over a year since I have used them) I imagine it isnt a high priority to have them running 24/7 as long as they can advertise having free internet access. Sorry about the double post but the website issues havent been fixed so I cant edit.
  5. I agree with mad082. You are much better off dling the stuff at home and transferring rather than relying on free internet at airports. In addition to mad082s points free internet places often lock out torrent sites (some maccas do anyway) plus they are often really slow - downloading a whole movie at 2.5kbs would probably take longer than walking/swimming to anywhere on the planet, exaggeration but you get the point.
  6. If you do go, let me know when you will be getting to Nagoya station and, if possible, I will meet you there. Then we can go into the museum together and afterwards to Sakae if you want - To be honest I havent actually been to the bars of Sakae despite having lived within 45mins of the place for almost 3 years. elrodeo666 would be a much better guide for the seedy underbelly of Japan than me. I mostly deal in learning about and abiding by bicycle bi-laws, doing laundry and partcipating in online censorship surveys with my Apple Mac.
  7. Thanks for the reply Mark This is the Toyota museum in Aichi which has a lot more stuff than Odaiba (Tokyo). http://www.toyota.co.jp/Museum/ Aichi is also where Toyota is headquatered and does most of its manufacturing in Japan. Nagoya (the main city in Aichi) is on the Shinkansen and is about 1 and half hours from Tokyo. You can also catch the Shinkansen to Hiroshima from there (or on the way back from Hiroshima you could stop there).
  8. You could always go to a wrecker and pick up a Commodore Executive seat for next to nothing, mount it on a board and attach the hobby horse to it. No need for weights and you have a vertical adjustment for height and rails for length to suit different people. Takes up more room though.
  9. GOD12A - I would be keen on the Toyota trip (museum or factory?). When do you plan on going there? Sorry about the dodgy reply the website is playing up so I can't reply properly.
  10. I am having these issues too and so are others in this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/384722-having-issues-viewing-sau/ there may be other people who cant post as it is difficult to login - I had to press the F5 key about 10 times to refresh the page before I could log in. Tried compatibility mode but it didn't do anything. I don't want to change from IE as it works just fine for every other site i have been to.
  11. It isnt only him it is happening to me too. Only started recently all the problems the same as his screenshots.
  12. No worries mate - how can I say no to a fellow Nissan engined wagon owner anyway Also thanks for being the first person in a while to show any gratitude for translating.
  13. Privacy glass TV Navigation DVD Electric seats (resolution is too low to read properly but I think it is electric seats) Bose sound system Fog Lamps Intelligent key and immobiliser
  14. Found it, please delete thread, thanks
  15. Awesome photos mate. Glad I didnt see the fish in pic 83 when I was at Tsukiji: Dojou - a type of loach, they keep them as pets as well as eat them. Poor little fellas. Try the rice burgers at MOS burger they are awesome, way better than the normal burgers. Messy though. The Daihatsu kei car in the 6th photo is a Move (3rd gen).
  16. Because of the f*kushima disaster. Check elrodeo666's link in the "6 months on" thread. Radiation is still being detected in prefectures around the plant. I drink bottled water when in Tokyo but not in Chubu. You are right about the taste though, I can't tell any difference between the water in New South Wales and Japan.
  17. Not sure but I think 1 to 2 years Rare car so apart from the fact another may never come up again it should appreciate. Sounds cool whereabouts? By the way thanks for the replies guys, really appreciate it.
  18. Hi, first post in Victoria thread so please excuse any and all missed social conventions. I am thinking of buying a car in Melbourne to do up in the future (I am currently living in Japan) and am looking at some storage solutions. One of the options is buying a car space which seems like a much better long term choice than paying monthly rent for a storage unit etc. Has anyone got any information/experience? As I already said It is for long term car storage so cost is much more important than a convenient location. It must be secure and under cover. Is it a good long term investment - ie when I eventually do move the car out would it be easy enough to rent out (obviously a convenient location then becomes much more important). I have virtually no understanding of the process or obligations/rights of purchasing/owning a car space in Melbourne. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. I think someone had a few too many Sapporos before he wrote his post Fuji Speedway is 100 ks from Odaiba - while it does snow in Tokyo occasionally I walked to TAS from the station in a jacket and jeans last year and was fine - no need for a beanie or thermals. looking forward to the photos - never been to Hokkaido
  20. Tokyo isn't too cold in winter, it's Hokkaido (which has already had snow) and the mountainous areas like Nagano that you have to be careful of.

    Translation

This is written by a foreigner so it it is a bit hard to understand and some bits are missing but here is what I could make out: ごめん sorry 席 seat お願い means hope/wish but probably part of お願いします which means please とも達から離れたとこでもイイからね It's OK to be far away from my friend (this is the best I can do on this bit, it doesn't really make much sense and may be missing some of the sentence at the beginning) ジャマはしません。 Won't be a hindrance. 分かったらゲートと通路を教えてね If you know the gate and road please tell me.
  22. By the way ティエムシー is TMC which is the company that owns RSR. This badge looks like it is just a manufacturers identification plate.
  23. It is really hard to read with the flash reflection being so bright - I think the bottom one is manufacturing number - cant read the first kanji it is too bright.
  24. No worries, good luck!
