  1. Personally I would spend the 5.5k on a V6 VR/VS Calais or Statesman if I was after luxury. You have the option of getting a manual transmission. They are cheap to maintain and repair. Spare parts are easy to get. Great highway fuel economy. More room inside than a Maxima. Best of all they are RWD. Just my opinion though. Test drive as many as you can and don't be talked into anything by pushy salesmen.
  2. Slovakia, since the war people have been dying to get in there.
  3. Looks nice, black R32s are one of my favourites. Out of interest why did you get rid of the rims? Welcome to the forum by the way.
  4. No worries mate.
  5. Your mate is right it is a receipt for a toll. It is for the Hanshin expressway which is a collection of expressways in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. You are right about the date and it probably is the 27th Feb 2005. There is a slight possibility that it is Heisei 5 which is the Japanese year of 1993, would require a bit more research to be sure.
  6. It's good.
  7. Hi, welcome to the forum. Great to hear you are focussing on the necessary performance upgrades before fiddling with the nitpicky emissions and AC. Good luck with the build.
  8. I haven't been to Hokkaido (the island of Japan where Niseko is) but as the snow season in Honshu (the main island of Japan) has great snow in February and Hokkaido is generally colder than Honshu I am quite sure that Niseko will be great for snowboarding in February. Most Japanese people fly when they go to Hokkaido from Honshu and even if you could find a cheaper way using trains, ferries, pack animals or whatever I doubt the extra time wasted would make it worthwhile. (You would probably end up having to stay overnight at hotels etc). I always rent boards and boots. I have about 30cm feet and although my choices may be a little limited in what I can hire I have always been able to get what I need to snowboard. I believe that Hokkaido has several resorts owned by Aussies too so you shouldn't have any problems getting stuff.

    Japan Trip.

Get an International drivers permit from the NRMA (cost me about $25 5 years ago). Toyota museum in Aichi is the best public car museum in Japan as far as I know. Nismo factory near Yokohama. Any Autobacs is worth a look. Toyota museum in Odaiba is worth looking at if you are nearby (only about 20 cars though). There is a Mitsubishi museum also in Aichi which I haven't been to but I hear is quite decent.
  11. Welcome and good luck with the build.
  12. Not only do they sell parts at the Nismo factory but they fit them as well. There is a huge workshop that is separated from the showroom by big glass windows so that you can see what is happening in the workshop while looking around the showroom.
  13. If you want Nismo parts why don't you just go to the Nismo factory - it is about half an hours train ride away from central Tokyo.
  14. Welcome to the forum and good luck with the rebuild.
  15. Welcome and nice work on getting the car. Even though the mods are few, they seem to be quality items which will save you some coin in the future.
  16. Welcome and good luck with sorting the problems out. As you probably already know there is a tonne of information on here and in the rare event that your problem hasn't been discussed post it up and someone will reply.
  17. It is always nice to welcome a discerning car owner to the forum (read: wagon owner). Good luck with the Stagea and the forum.
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum. Your car ownership history at 21 years of age is pretty epic compared to mine - one first generation Pulsar (Cherry). Good luck with the forums and the car.
  19. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask any questions you have. The more effort you put in to finding the right section for your queries, the higher the chance that you will get the answer you are looking for. Good luck with it!
  20. Welcome! Are you planning on boosting the 3 litre? Did you do the engine conversion?
  21. Welcome to the forum, I am looking forward to pics of your car.
  22. Welcome to the forum and well done on the choice of ride. I hope it works out well for you.
  23. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on having your eyes opened to the world of boost.
  24. I went to an Urufuruzu concert (supporting acts Sambo Master and The Bawdies) in the Tokyo Sumo Hall today. Good fun and definitely a new experience for me as a concert venue. I didn't take photos during the concert as it wasn't allowed and I didn't wanna get kicked out, especially if it turned out to be a Sumo wrestler doing the kicking. The toilets had a soap dispenser, tap and hand drier all in the sink. All were operated by sensors so no touching of taps, buttons etc. Would have been perfect except the hand drier was blowing cold air (and hand driers do little more than blow water from one part of your hand to another part even when they do expel hot air).
  25. Welcome back and nice work on getting a clean 32 GTR.
