  1. No worries mate, glad it worked out for you.
  2. Hopefully this will work. Hold the engine button until the lamp comes on (should flash), release the engine button. Wait for 3 seconds then press and release the door button. Wait for 5 seconds (don't press or hold any buttons) and the engine should start.
  3. Post a link to the manual and I will have a look if you want.
  4. As far as Toyota goes the Australian cent is almost equal to the yen now (ie AUD$ is very expensive) so if Holden were to stop producing and component makers in Australia increased their prices there would be a lot of pressure on Toyota to just import all cars from Japan etc. On the other side of the coin the high dollar means Australia could import engines for cheaper - VL for the 21st century sounds like heaven to me As far as producing a 1.6L-2.0L turbo car goes I think that is a pretty crowded niche with a limited market - admittedly RWD would make it unique but it would probably end up costing more than an AWD car from Europe or Japan and much more than an FT86. I think Holden have a good niche with the Commodore, being able to sell it overseas and using it as a base for other GM RWD cars. If only they could get an electric/hybrid etc powered one developed and get rego/tax subsidies for owners in Australia (as Japanese EVs/hybrids get in Japan) then it would be great - but I guess that probably doesn't fit in with GMs global plan - Volt etc).
  5. Welcome and good luck with your officials licence/events.
  6. A workmate told me about it and I was interested so I went. I really enjoyed it. The goldfish seemed to be in good condition. I was concerned they would have been stressed by it but they seemed ok. I like goldfish (any animals really) plus I am interested in art. The artist who designed it has a great interest in fish as well as cars. He has been a Ferrari concourse judge and also been involved in some aspects of automotive design. Yeah yukata are pretty comfy. How is Hakone? I haven't been there despite having worked in Yokohama.
  7. I went to an art aquarium exhibiton today. So many goldfish. The exhibition finishes soon so I don't have to feel guilty about posting a bunch of photos. Polyhedron shaped tank. The triangular tubes are kaelidoscopes. Looks dodgy until you put your eye up against it and a fish swims by. Amazingly beautiful. 3 meter diameter collection of tanks which flow into each other. Most of the bowls are convex so the fishes appearances are distorted. Close up of some of the above tanks. Rectangular tanks with a lace pattern covering the sides and a central light supposed to make unusual shadows. I didn't really notice it. Big shallow tanks which flow in to each other. Lighting changes colours. One of the above tanks close up. My camera doesn't take photos too well in the dark so I deleted many but I kind of like this one so will claim it as art. More unintentional art. Big tanks of koi with projection mapping to show the four seasons. A rectangular tank with a silhouette of a kimono and projection mapping. Some of the most beautiful colours I have ever seen when the projection mapping reflects off the goldfish scales. Next to it is a real kimono. Close up of above tank. Smart Four2 with Golfish vinyl wrap.
  8. Welcome, like everyone else said looks nice.
  9. Welcome. Your English is easier to understand than some of the native speakers on this forum Car looks nice and I hope you are enjoying it.
  10. Hi and welcome to the site. Like Luke said 32 GTRs are hot. In red they only get yummier. I am in Tokyo so if you need someone to give your car a run every now and then when you go back to the US then look no further
  11. Awesome, thanks mate.
  12. Hi mate, I got your PM as well but I thought it would be better to reply here. If this is a genuine Nissan part you have ordered then the first thing you should do is get a hold of a parts list drawing of the part. It may be that the clip is a seperate part number and therefore not included in the assembly you ordered.
  13. because race car...sorry I mean because Holden...same thing really
  14. Are you selling tickets separately or only as part of the accomodation package? If separately how much do you want for them?
  15. Just saw this post, for some reason I am only getting notified on a random basis of posts. Anyway PMing after I post this.
  16. Hehe fair enough. I still wish I was in a position to buy one though
  17. Thanks. It looked a bit like a fibreglass kit car from where I was standing so I wasn't sure if it was a Ferrari. I have never seen one before, thanks again for the info.
  18. Welcome, your Calais looks awesome in that photo. Love the wheels/tyres and the tone of blue paint. There is a VR/VS wagon getting around with a Toyota V8 in it. Sounds great. LS1 conversions have a lot of off the shelf parts which makes them less of a headache but I guess you have your reasons choosing an RB25 to power your Calais. Good luck with it!

  20. Well have fun with them
  21. Perfectly Operating Supercars? Glad you have as much love for VLs as me Luke. *man hugs*
  22. But maybe it's more pleasurable to chase the dragon?
  23. In the upper echelons of society we call it "having class".
  24. When I first heard about the Pi I thought it would be revolutionary but now you can pick up Android tablets for less than $50 which use a similar chip, already include a monitor, RAM, a drive and are functional out of the box. In addition I can just go to a shop and buy one whereas the Pi had (and maybe still has) a massive wait. I imagine it would be possible to run a Linux distro on most tablets without too much trouble too. For a media player you will need to spend a little more to get a tablet with a HDMI out.
  25. Welcome. When you get the GTR and have had it for a while (novelty worn off) it would be great to hear your comparison with the VE. I agree with Luke, don't ask the missus just buy it. Feign ignorance of her disapproval and profit.
