Just wondering what others have experienced with other brands. Has anyone heard or used HSD coilovers (twin tube or TT)? Is it true that most coilovers produce that metal to metal sound on rough surfaces? Will changing to coilovers require a camber kit? Thanks for any advice or feedback. I used to have CUSCO 2R in my Silvia. They comes with pillow ball which you can adjust the chamber. The Negative side of these is, since they are all metal, after some wear and tear, the pillow ball do get a little worn out. That where you get the irritating knocking sound. I contacted CUSCO, they told me all pillow ball will knock over a period of time. Unless you keep changing the pillow ball, which is not cheap, you got the live with it. That's the only way to make a suspension which can be adjusted perfectly. And I find the only way to stop the knocking sound it to drive fast in the corners.

What improvement you meant? Handling? I only install it and drove it on a freeway, Kinda difficult to tell. Had a few high speed corner(80km/h), feels a little stiffer. But maybe it's just a mind trick. This kind of upgrade is not like a lowering spring, can feel the different right away.

Just Got my NRG Strut Bar from Riverside Infiniti. Installation was pretty straight forward. A little difficult on the passenger side. The only thing to take out is the sound proofing under the bonnet, if not the bonnet will not close.

BTW, there are 4 O2 sensor in our car. 2 before the cat, and 2 after. So which one did you change? Have you check your spark plugs? By looking at the plugs, you can tell what's happening to the combustion chamber. The tip should be clean with some grey deposit around the electrode. Search the web for other tell tail sign of problem in the chamber.

I have been using Castrol 5w-30 for quite sometime now. I think they are cheap and good (if you got it for a discount). NGK Iridium IX for the spark plugs, Motul DOT5 brake fluid (Unless you do track alot, maybe you need DOT 6). If you look at what Motul recommend for the Gearbox/LSD, it their GEAR 300 for both application.

Hi, Any one tried these before? They have both HFC & catback exhaust. The price is resonable a the catback + Y pipe. It looked Awesome too, and not very loud. http://www.exoticspeed.ca/advanced_search_...mp;keywords=g35

It was from a US EBay seller (autodinamics) : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-06-INFIN...sQ5fAccessories Sorry, $68 is in Aussie $, not USD. Think you can get it even cheaper as Aussie $ is stronger now. You never know how much K's your import did as All the speedo reading are not correct. As advise from most of the guys here, once you get your car, it's better to do a full service on it. Change Oil/Filters, Change Gearbox/Diff oil, Plugs, I even Bleed the whole brake system. You never know how long the fluid is in the system. Like all brake oil, they absorb moisture. The Plugs I pull out was a NGK R plugs, the tip was badly worn till it's rounded. No wonder when my car idle, i can feel a cylinder didn't fire like the rest through my clutch. Funny, today I notice, my engine check light is not there anymore. I don't know what I did, I didn't do anything at all. I even when to a midas service center yesterday to ask how much to reset it. I believe, the oil in the plugs seems to be a common problem with all our V's I heard. -

So what about the check engine light? Only NISSAN can reset it? -
Was a good sunny day and I decided to change my Spark Plugs. Got the Iridium IX plug from EBAY at a bargain ($68). During changing the plugs, the Air filter system got to be taken out. Some wiring was unplug to reach the spark plugs. 1st finding: The OLD Plugs were very worn out, glad I change them. 2nd finding: The plug nearest to the passenger has some old on it when I pull it out. IS there a problem? 3rd finding: Car was much smoother after the change. 4th finding: The Engine check light came on after the plugs changed. I guess I unplug something I shouldn't have. But car was fine to drive. How do I reset the warning?

What To Do For A 100,000km Service
FlyingEL replied to FlyingEL's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
SO do I need special gearbox oil or Diff oil? OR just any good oil I can find off the shelf? I think they are both the same oil (diff/gearbox). Correct me if I'm wrong. Cheers -

Oh thanks, I have already did a brake fluid flush last year when I change all my pads. I'm using Motul DOT 5. And as for the coolant, Green & clean. Do I have to flush it out yearly? So I guess I need to change the Diff and gearbox oil. Do I need to get special oil for those, or a good bottle of Motul Diff & Gearbox oil will do? -
Any ideas? Apart from oil change, oil filter change.

That's easy to find in Ebay. If you want the other style, try this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT I prefer this one.

FlyingEL replied to FlyingEL's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks Dude....seems Victorian selling tyres much cheaper than QLD. -
Hi, I'm looking into buying tyres for my fronts. After shopping around in Brisbane, a good piece cost $360 each. So I went to shop on EBAY and came across these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/4-X-235-40-18-GOODY...f#ht_1004wt_962 As I'm only looking to get only 2pcs, anyone in Brisbane willing to share the cost and buy the other 2 with me? That's about $260 per tyre, which is a savings of $100 each.

Hi I'm interested too. Found these on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...atchlink:top:en Thinking of putting them under the intake of the front bumper, does anyone knows how to wire them for DAYLIGHT? Where to wire the positive wire to?
