still a smartass i see yes, it must be north then..... like was mentioned above, true south is from basically the victoria hotel through to the far south of victor harbour. cross roads is still flatlands, once you climb the hill you hit the start of "south". the reason i mentioned town aswell was if im hauling a trailer with a car on it i dont want to be taking the windy tight hills way as you have to slow alot more for corners and any short term gain disapears. i want to come up to the foot of town and go via the sth eastern freeway where i can just gas it up to 110 and sit there. if you have traveled that route with a trailer you would know that it is actually quicker

cross roads isnt south though lol, im talking norlunga/willunga/mclaren vale etc where main south road is our main traffic way. we would have a hour drive into the city, 20 minutes to navigate through the city (anzac underpass, road works, city traffic, speed camera's etc etc) then a hour to get out to TB. the TB idea just is not feasible for anyone who lives the south side of the city and its going to distract the media and public away from the real solution of motorsport at the port. for the sake of those investing in TB they would really wanna hope that the port complex doesnt get built as the place will just die off again because no one will travel 2 hours to use a decayed dust bowl if there is a brand new modern facility 15 minutes from the city

this is a joke, i hope for the sake of motorsport in this state that this stupid plan falls through. d_stirls has made a number of valid points, but to elaborate on the distance issue. i live the mid coast of the state: - it takes a hour Max to get to the port - it takes a little over a Hour (70 minutes) to get to Lala - it takes a basically a hour to get to AIR all of these places i have grown up attending and have no issue with the drive, its a nice distance and can cruise home after street meets. but tailem f**king bend is close to 3 hours away, there is a shitload of car enthusiest in the southern suburbs and as far down as victor harbour... the poor blokes at victor would have half a days travel just to get to this dust bowl. 6 hours return trip just to do a few burnouts and 400m's is pathetic.... lets hope the media doesnt start picking up on this and cancel any chance of the gilman project.....

go the N1, 32gtr's are a dime a dozen, all pushing decent numbers. go check the fs thread on here or ns and you will find up to 10 or more with same power for less that $20k. the markets flooded, they no longer have the "omg a gtr" factor. but on the other hand, a genuine N1 is rare as fuuuuuuuuck. would be a great weekend car, slowly restoring it to all its former glory (if indeed it needs it) and then sell it in 10 years when they are worth a mint
