Recommendation On Tyres For My M35 Axis
slippylotion replied to ECR33_RB25DET's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ryan on my 180sx I've used federal 595 SS up front and wasn't impressed at all for a performance/track type tyre. I then went with kumho ku31 and a heeeap better. I also run these in a 245/45-18 on the m35 but a little noisy due to the Clayton that wheel aligned it with way too much toe and shagged the inside of ALL tyres, thus making them noisy till the day they die not normally a noisy tyre. Awesome tyres with a 320 treadware. Jase also used them and was very happy. Maybe look at a set of these if your not decided yet. -

After reading this entertaining thread, can I just add that it's not " ile " it's f*cking " I'll " how hard is it!!!! -
It was making 270rwkw on 18psi on the old turbo set up. Full boost at 3800 and peak power at 7700rpm. Drives very nicely for a 4 banger, plenty of torque. Positive pressure from just under 2000rpm. Ill give the 8cm a crack and maybe grab a 44 mm tial if I find one at a good price. Was thinking about a turbo smart 40 but they seem to be a heap dearer than a tial gate.
-
Thanks guys. Since I know have the 8cm we will give it a go and change to the 10cm if needed. Id like to keep the boost to a max of 20psi. Scotty I'll be running a tial 38mm gate, unless I should go the 44mm? Havent bought one as yet. A mate Rex Kelway is making the high mount T3 external manifold for me in the next couple weeks.
-
@ STATUS Just a quick question. The SR's you have tuned running a kinugawa tdo6sl2-20g are they an 8 or 10cm rear and internal or external gate? I bought the T3 external V band with 8cm rear version and my mate Pete Leibig is tuning it. Just wondering if I should change to the 10cm as I want to reach near on 300rwkw on 98oct and over that on E85. Thanks

If you fit an a/market head unit will it still work as the factory unit for the tv input for sound so it out switches the new unit? If not how will it need to be connected up?
-
They should all bolt up to the factory exhaust if the fabricator is any good. I did mine on a hoist and it was a pain in the arse! A little easier now that I've done it a couple times but still a pain. I think some of the guys have done them on ramps.
-
I know its on my SR but I had the 56 trim with .64 exh and made 268.5rwkw on 18psi on 98 pump. Full boost of 18psi @ 3800rpm. Good little turbo.

I'm in the same bad customer boat. A wrong oil line was supplied with my kit so emailed and asked how we can go about getting me the correct line, no response! Service was great until I payed but now seems to lack quite a lot.
-
I hate this thought. Just because someone hasn't posted on here often doesn't mean they don't have great knowledge and experience on the subject compared to others that post a lot. They may well have more knowledge and experience but don't sit in front of a keyboard all day. This comment is not directed at either parties but an overall opinion on the statement.
-
Anyone have a left over kinugawa water line around 30-40 cm long they want to part with. I was supplied with both at 70cm long so want one shorter line to save looping it up.
-
Don't just assume things mate. Years ago I did buy a china manifold and as soon as I checked it out I sent the junk back and bought a quality built manifold. Don't worry mate, save your money and use this unit, while your at it you can re-use each others sump oil. Hey, it does the job and and at a cheaper price, lol.
-
Stoked with a manifold that's no better than a cheap china stainless item. IMO these look really bad and I wouldn't use one if I was given it but that's my opinion. Why are you guys using them beside being cheap? The only gain I see you getting is being able to say you have a steam pipe manifold but NOT a quality built manifold! Now sits back and awaits the b*tching instead of people listening to an opinion with out taking offense!
-
Well if you had a look inside the manifold you will see the factory unit has cyls 1&4 together and separated from 2&3 together giving you a split pulse utilizing the firing order. Tomei also make their expreme SR manifolds the same and for the same reason. This is also how my Kelway manifold is made.
-
I disagree with that. Atleast the factory manifold is a split pulse design. If your not making a split pulse you should atleast have a well designed collector and that isn't. So you payed around $300 del? For about $650 you can buy a Kelway steam pipe manifold with a proper collector and overal better quality. To me if your doing it for a gain do it right. Don't just buying anything so you can have a steam pipe manifold. What power are you running?
