  1. Just use a flat head screw driver and hammer to straighten them out. Then use 2 spammers to undo it.
  2. Bloody hell I didnt realize it's that heavy. I wouldn't mind a better flowing mid pipe but need to keep it quiet to keep the boss happy. I like the idea of using the v35 mid pipe with the a/market dump and front pipe as it would flow a heap better than stock and still be quiet and a cheap upgrade.
  3. Are there any real world flow gains by using the V35 mid pipe or is it just the placebo factor?
  4. Sweet. So you bought just the mid pipe section? Anychance of a sound clip?
  5. Did you have to lengthen the catback to fit the M35?
  6. I don't know exactly where they run but could it be the sunroof drains?
  7. Sitting higher as I stacked my dacks some what. Thanks for explaining how it works a little more, no i u derstand why you guys had to tap the brakes when tou reconnect. The longest drive I do is around 250km to the riverland with a quick stop at my favorite bakery so it will see reverse quite often. I'll post up my thoughts on it in a week after I have a bit of a play. Cheers
  8. You didn't miss the dyno results as I never mentioned them.
  9. You missed the bit where I said "same flange"! External gate V band is not the same flange!
  10. Yeah wodnt be many options on our cars. I've seen a few running off the housing with good results. Good job.
  11. Did the brake wire cut on the M35 today. Connected the wire to the reverse lights (thanks for that handy idea Leon) so everytime I reverse and hold the brake on a little the ECU sees the connection to keep the ECU/CEL happy. Haven't test driven it yet, will do tomorrow and hopefully feel the results. I initially wasn't going to do this mod until yesterday when I tried to jump across one lane of traffic and ended up sitting a couple inches higher in my seat lol.
  12. So your running the gate directly off the turbine housing?
  13. I think in reality any a/market dump pipe will give you an increase over the factory unit. One factor is that the bellmouth will fit ALL a/market turbo upgrades running the same flange pattern. But each worm to their own. ?
  14. That's because the bellmouth is better, lol ? Also it's strange that Nissan used a weird style of flange at the dump to front pipe joint. Don't understand why they went with a wider bolt pattern on that flange to then use a standard one at the front pipe to cat back.
  15. My M35 has privacy tint on rear doors and rear cargo area. The 2 front doors while having no tint they do have UV block glass as its written/etched into the glass saying so. Not sure if windscreen has UV block glass.
  16. Hey Ryan what t10 led globes did you get?
  17. If your in Adelaide a mate makes s/steel dumps for the M35. He goes under the name of Rex Kelway. I run one of them and they go for $380.
  18. That banjo bolt mod will depend on the type of core that will be fitted. I would seek advice from the turbo builder on this.
  19. No it's not.
  20. My thoughts are on the extra boost the M35 runs and shitty factory dump pipe causing excess heat and shaft speed on the turbine wheel. I currently have an a/market dump and soon to add a front pipe with 200cpsi cat and keep the stock cat back, unless I come across a factory option Nismo system. Will be interesting how long my turbo will last. I oil change every 5000km and rarely give it any stick. Having said that, last week I relived my younger years by going up against a VE SS manual and VZ SS auto. Left the VZ a good 3 cars behind and the VE sat side by side. Boy did he look shocked ?. I didn't stall it up for either.
  21. Yeah seems a bit of a problem with them. To the guys that have had their M35 turbo blow, are the turbos dying due to bearing failure from oil supy issues or the ceramic turbine wheel coming apart then leading onto shaft/bearing failure?
  22. If the tune is correct and you have a bit of headroom in the injector, you shouldn't have an issue. If your maxing out your duty cycle and your cheating by bumping up the base fuel pressure just make sure the flow pattern of the injector is still up to spec. Some injectors get very messy when you up the base pressure. I prefer standard base pressure and run the CORRECT sized injector for the application.
  23. My mate Vince owns import compliance. He bought my M35 from auction for me and complied it. It's in good hands then ?
  24. I can't see you needing bigger injectors with the stock turbo. From what it seems, if you run ~20psi on stock turbo it will die quick ish. If you tune with the stock boost (allowing extra 1-2psi for exhaust upgrade) it would need the rich factory set AFR leaned out a tad so the injectors should be fine.
