On my 180sx I used ba falcon twin fans controlled with a greedy unit. It took temp reading from the factory ECU sensor. It controlled both low and high speeds of the fans and when aircon switched on. It lasted on there about 2 weeks before I replaced it with the clutch fan. The temps always fluctuated within 10 deg where as the clutch fan keeps them within 3. The factory clutch fan is a heap more consistent and easier.

From what I know the s1 has a 3spd plus overdrive and the s2 is a 4 spd. Both also having a convertor lock clutch.

So you went with 360mm front and rear?

Dang thats cheap. I even tried places interstate but they couldn't get my size. I also figured if I bought them interstate they would be around $200-220 each, plus $60-80 freight for the four, plus another $20 each to fit. So it didn't really work out that much cheaper for me if any, plus I needed them asap. On another note, Im starting to think the noise might be a wheel bearing. It sounds, to me at least, like its mainly coming from the front passenger wheel. Ill get a second opinion on it.

Well I've set mine to 360mm front and rear, this gives about 15mm gap between tyre and guard with my 245/45-18 tyres. I might drop it another 5mm but probably not worth the trouble. I like to leave 10mm gap so it doesn't get too many looks. With the aero front bar it just clears those cement stops in car parks. Its funny, when I look on the RAWS site and look up my car it shows the stock height (i think its listed wrong) and minimum height. It states unladen F and R 365mm and Minimum F and R 346mm. I had it at 345mm at one stage and its bloody low so I think the figures are wrong.

The cheapest I found the ku31 was $262 each fitted. I might be a little picky about the tyre. Maybe some of the noise is due to needing a wheel alignment, the may have too much rear toe causing a bit of noise as it drags the tyre. Booked in for an alignment Friday so see how I go.

I'm not sure what I would get next time. These aren't a reall lot quieter than the jap snow tyres that it came on. One tyre shop said the ku31 is noisy and should look at the ku21. I should have listened. I only stuck with the ku31 as I knew they gripped nicely in dry and wet. Didn't realize that on a quiet car they would be this noisy.

Can someone tell me what the standard ride height is for an M35 250t rs four, hub centre to guard lip. I forget to measure mine before I lowered it and I'm just curious as to how much I have now lowered it.

Well after having the KU31 Kumho on the M35, I wouldn't get them again! they are NOISY!!! I run the ku31 on the front of my 180sx but due to the exhaust I couldn't hear them at all. Now on the M35, being a quite car, they are quite noisy. I will definitely buy a different tyre when these need to be replaced.

Price drop to $350, need these gone.

Not sure I like the black grill with the polished wheels. Im thinking it may look better with a chrome grill back in it. How much do you want for it and any pics? Cheers

I was really lucky and got my Tanabe Sustec coil overs from JDM Concept when he had an end of financial year sale so I got them delivered for the ultimate bargain price of $740 Thats half price and it was the only set he had on sale. I love the ride and most importantly the boss doesn't complain about them being too hard.

Thanks. I'm very happy with the look. Would have loved it in a 19" but the boss would only agree to an 18". Stills looks good though. The ride is still very nice with a bit of side wall there.

Here is a pic with the new wheels. Work XSA 18x9+30 with a 245/45-18 Kumho KU31. Car needs a good wash and polish!

Finally fitted the new Work XSA rims. Hit some kumho ku31 tyres for them. Will post some pics over the weekend once I wash it.
