  1. I've used 595 SS on the front of my 180sx and found them very average. I used them on the track drifting and suffered understeer all the time. I got a price today for a kumho ku31 in a 245/45-18 for $266, waiting on a price tomorrow for a nexen n6000 in same size out of interest.
  2. Ordered a Transgo kit with Jetwreck. Thanks again.
  3. I'm really happy with the ku31 on my 180sx. Im not sure how quiet they are though as the car is quite loud. I think I'll just hunt around for the cheapest price on a ku31.
  4. Where are you finding the ku31 so cheap? I have no experience with the ku19. The 31 is the only kumho I've used.
  5. Ok so far the best price I can find is $266 each for a ku31 in a 245/45-18.
  6. I contacted them on Ebay and they don't have 245/45-18 in stock.
  7. What brands do SAMotorsport tyres sell?
  8. I wanted Ku31's as I run them on my 180sx and know how good they are. Shops here wanted over $300 a corner for them We tend to get touched up over here!!!
  9. I'm getting tyres fitted Saturday. I'm looking at a 245/45-18 as there is a greater choice in that size. Also thinking of a 235/45-18 to get a little stretch to help clear the guards. Not that big of a choice in that size either. I like the fact the 245/45-18 is a little taller than stock to help correct the spedo a little. I'm assuming all m35's read higher than actual speed. Just hope they don't hit the guards on bumps or steering lock. I'm looking at nexen n1000, anyone had any experience with these?
  10. I should have some pics of mine next week with a 18 x 9 + 30 on it.
  11. Yeah you need atleast an 8.5+30 to near fill the guards.
  12. I'm looking at a nexen n1000, it's only a 280 treadware though. So I'm worked they won't last that long. In a 245/45-18 they are $170 fitted.
  13. What size rims and what brand tyre did you go with?
  14. Looks like just a lower lip. There is a bar with the same lip for sale at Japanese Import Spares in SA.
  15. Here is my 180SX and 1966 VC Valiant I'm building with my brother. Ive been playing with Valiants for 22yrs and still love them!
  16. These are from a Z34. So then maybe they won't fit then without an adaptor, its not worth the trouble of an adaptor for these brakes IMO. I think the later Z33 came with a 2 piston single sided calliper but I can't seem to find them anywhere These seem to be the only option I now have apart from slotted rotors and GSR pads for the stock M35 brakes. Who has done slotted rotors and GSR pads for stock M35 and found the results?
  17. Im looking at the non Akebonos, so I assume they are the touring? From the pic the calliper mount bolts look a long way apart. Is this what Spoolin needed the adaptors for?
  18. Can anyone confirm if Z34 front brakes will direct bolt onto an NM35? I'm looking at the non brembo brakes, so it's a 325mm x 28mm disc and single sided twin piston caliper. I can only run these due to the fact my new rims are an A disc face and they won't clear a 4 piston caliper
  19. Hey I have a good set of R33 GTST front callipers and 296mm diameter rotors for sale. They are in great condition with complete callipers including good pads and the discs are in great shape being 29.5mm thick still. New is 30mm. They also come with a set of new calliper mounting bolt sleeves to fit these to a C34 or M35. I bought them to fit on my M35 but when my new wheels arrived they didn't clear the calliper due to the wheel face I ordered. Looking for $400 ono for the kit. Im in Adelaide but will post at your cost. Cheers Ill get pics up over the weekend.
  20. Thanks for that, Im very happy with them. I tried the rim again tonight and it needs a 5mm spacer to mount the wheel to the hub, this gives about 1.5mm clearance from the rim to calliper without grinding the Nissan logo off. Im test fitting them on my 180sx thats runs R33 GTST brakes as I haven't fitted the other set to the M35 yet. I don't want to run a spacer so it looks as thought the R33 GTST brakes are going up for sale! If I ordered a different rim face it would have fit but I wanted to keep the spokes as flat as possible and was told the A disk should have fit. Im keen to look into the Murano brake option then, Ive been searching the net for more details but only find single piston callipers. So do you know if the Murano twin piston brake is standard on all models?
  21. I got home from work today and there sitting in the lounge room was a shiny new set of Work XSA rims. They took 12 weeks from placing the order to make them and deliver. Only down side is the rim face I ordered won't clear R33 GTST callipers I wanted to fit. Its about 2-3mm from fitting. I can get around it with a 3mm spacer but I have never liked running spacers. Will have to think over it a little, otherwise just keep running the factory M35 brakes. Does anyone know how much of the calliper where it says NISSAN can be ground down? I know the lettering can all go but can any of the hump that the writing is on be taken down a little?
  22. I was just informed that my Work XSA rims will be delivered tomorrow! Can't bloody wait. Have been waiting since June 7 for these babies!
  23. Just finished fitting a new set of spark plugs to the M35. Nice easy job for a lazy Sunday arvo.
