  1. seems to me that the age smashes it for the young ones cos of the reputation wonder if i could put it in mums name..
  2. wow if i had that Nur i wouldnt care what it costs to insure it But yes for a 33GTST is a bit much even though its been in to be fixed twice (not my fault) shouldn't change anything *sigh* looks like my bodykit, retune, BOV, mags, suspension, t timer and e boost controller are gonna have to wait longer............
  3. 450??????????? i didnt think an age gap like that could mean that much difference!!! my vehicle excess alone is $800 Standard: $450+ Vehicle: $800+ Age: $650+ theft $800
  4. also its got down those 3 mods intercooler, exhaust ,turbo charged does that mean >>>STOCK R33 GTST "is'' turbo charged, "has" an exhaust, and "has" an intercooler are they just scaping money from me just because the car has a turbo etc. i havent told told them that recently if had ecu upgrade (PFC), injetecors (cant find the description in theri database), AFM w pod, Coil packs , HD clutch (if it matters) because im pretty sure the price will just go much higher cos if its written off i will just pull it all out i just finished my traineeship last week but by the looks of it all ive saved from last year will go on this
  5. tell me about i worked it out that if i have 1 claim for damage it would cost me $1900 of excess b4 they touch it
  6. btw the company was through "JUST CAR" and all mods done to it are listed within >> Intercooler, exhaust, turbo charged non standard No claims made 21 yo Agreed value $13, 250
  7. hey all i just got my insurance bill the other day and..... well the amount was.....well RIDICULOUS!!! But also besides that i noticed the identity of my R33 GTST is not right. it was labled as a NISSAN SKYLINE GTST HR33 ...??? isnt it a ECR33 ?? So i did some more research for a better insurance company tried a few online quote forms but in their vehicle list it only has NISSAN_GTR i cant find GTST or GTS for that matter and they do indeed exist! so i put in GTR with my make date (93) and there it is as a NISSAN SKYLINE HR33??? Do insurance companys actually hav GTSTs in their databases cos if ive been paying for a GTR price this whole time im gonna be pissed ! the reason im trying to figure out whats wrong is the price i pay for it. ive had it for 4 years now and : 1st year : $3650 2nd year: $2860 3rd year : $2640 4th year : $2332 now thats alot of money to insure a GTST almost stock as well as being under the wrong ID and a few months ago my brother bought a FPV BF Super Pursuit ute with his insurance only costing him $1800 ?? theres got to be a solution after all theres alot of guys with GTSTs, is that about right for a GTST or am i getting jipped?? ive got 5 days to pay this so can some1 tell me quick??
  8. if i ever see that dickhead i'd hurl a brick through his windshield at 100kms for ya my skyline has a kill\death ratio of 2 a s-pak commodore was tailgating me on the freeway and a couch flew off the trailer in front of me so i had to break he went up my ass at 60km but because of the down force of his breaking i got minimal damage, he got a total write off
  9. well i wont be able to do that until wednesday i just took it for a wrap and i cant get it past 12 psi on the gauge shortn the rod abit? or just the boost controler to the +
  10. so this boost control loss problem on the graph at 16psi Greddy Pro-fec EBC + DYNO = ??
  11. the sheet
  12. so if the boost control is likely to be why this is so wrong, why would it read 16psi @4000rpm in forth? but feel like so much more my only other guess is these numbers in HP should be in KW because isnst a stock factory r33 183kw
  13. but this is doing my head in could this be all to do with the bleed valve and not a "proper" boost control? it was the only thing bypassed to make it work on the dyno
  14. WHAT THE...338?? how?? what specs?
  15. months ago YOU (PM) were the one that advised me on what i needed to do to get my boost back and running again now i have taken that and this is what i have BEFORE: 10psi (stock) almost no boost at all with GT-RS AFTER: installed injectors and ECU tuned to 16psi shootout sheet peaks at 37.0psi_g @258.9hp but the numbers of 258.9hp doesn't seem right against an almost completely stock r33 tuned to 224.6hp i will try to post it
  16. this is my "now problem" the sheet says next to nothing and is almost embarrassing but on the way home i thought hey its only responsive, but feels "weaker" than before, then i hit a straight and got it to about 4000rpm and then BOOM instant boost (not having it for so long the boost almost scared me) but then i thought this is Great! but my dads is rated at 224.6hp with "no" major mods what so ever but mine has had countless $$$ spent and only 258.9hp could maybe the sheet be wrong?? because it feels better than it says?
  17. i recall the the boost before it was tuned was "10psi" which i think is the stock level as you may remember PM-R33 from a while ago. today when i picked it up it hit about "16psi" which i assume is now why i have boost. Looking at this shootout graph from 70hp@10psi is a steady climb to 245hp@35psi_g then climbs to MAX:258.9hp@37psi_g
  18. yes i know but im on a mission, well 2 missions now #1 reach 300kw #2 beat my brothers FPV BF super pursuit ute
  19. i know the difference and when i learned of it i was even more disappointed 260hp is rated at 190kw and ive been through this before i tried 1 place they stuffed up everything tried this place, happy with the result in success but disappointed in my expectations of 300kw to only 190kw with how much ive done to it so in conclusion i will get a boost controller likely a Greddy pro-fec and have the dyno re-done again Also what do you guys think so far and "will" it get there R33 GTST: HKS GT-RS turbo Frount mount intercooler Splitfire coil packs EXEDY HD clutch APEXI PFC NISMO adjustable fuel reg WALBRO fuel pump APEXI MKII Evolution dual exhaust stainless dump and front pipe HI-FLO cat SARD 850CC injectors Z32 AFM TURBOSMART boost bleed valve APEXI pod filter
  20. he said it was running on a stock 10 pound i got nowhere near what i wanted or even expected! Rap sheet here says MAX:258.9HP i am aware that dyno does use fuel, but from full to 1\4 ?
  21. OK i have it back!! apparently the disturbance in the fuel flow was caused by cracks in the fuel pump setup 2 of the 3 valves were cracked also allowing it to lose pressure there and it was leaking fuel for about a year or more and the heat shrink that was sealing the wires had shrunk to the point they were fully exposed so i had them rip that out and put in another so the fuel was running ok. they also attached a manual boost bleed valve so they tweak the boost then it was good for the dyno again. i rocked up just as it had finished PROS: i have boost again it is very responsive i blew away a xr8 on the way home CONS: It cost me alot more than expected ($2400) i didnt reach the 300kw i wanted (260) took for eva i found dodgy work done by the last workshop (AGAIN) they went over the quote??? $700 dyno------>> $850 missing alot of fuel
  22. i will probably go in to see it tomorrow, transport is a problem as its there and not here, i just hope i have it for the weekend and that i dont spend more than what i expected, with the things i wanted done (without the extra problems) i wanted no more than 2k but if i now have to buy a boost controller and fuel pump? can the fuel pump shit itself on the road and still run unnoticed or has it stopped when they had it?
  23. just wondering , i took my ECR33 down to a well known import garage and gave them what i had which was: APEXI PFC SARD 850cc injectors mounted on a fuel rail NISMO fuel reg Z32 afm i left it all with them to fit, tune etc. i was expecting about 2 days until i got it back all done and happy. but this is day #5 and ive just been told that they have come across some issues with the tuning and overall running of the car. (was dropped off on Monday morning) on wednesday they said that the injectors did not match the plugs on the standard setup so i would have to buy a wiring loom to work and would delay the tuning until they had it. so i said ok do it. so they said i would have it the next day on thursday they call me and say they are having trouble tuning it and i will probably not get it that day. disappointed i said ok tomorrow then? they said probably friday morning. 3 hours later i get a call from them saying they cannot tune it at all. he said they tested the fuel flow from the pump and it wasnt reading properly a normal pump would be about a litre a minute and mine was 0.2 litres a minute (it was only fitted about 10 months ago and was working b4) not only that they said i do not have a sufficient boost control and is running on 10 pounds of boost. and in order to fix this they would check the fuel pump directly and see about a $80 boost valve kit (or something) but they would also have to start again! now i was not expecting this at all. am i being lied to or ripped off, or is this a pretty common thing??? specs: GT-RS turbo kit front mount intercooler splitfire coilpacks walbro 400ps fuel pump apexi mkII evo exhaust
