  1. monaro is quicker than a stock gtt, doesn't handle as well as a stock gtt though. Throw on a few bolt ons, raise turbo pressure, tune and gtt is better in every way. if you're bored of the gtt then give the monaro a go, keep in mind they are two very different cars and they are pretty hard to compare, depends on the individual person. Also posting on a skyline forum you are already setting yourself up for a biassed response. good luck

    My New R35

    Peer pressure
  3. yes especially for the milage, there was a bit of a bidding war over it which probably pushed the price up, too bad the finance company got the money and not the owner
  4. no it was strange, it was a 1 year "NOVATED LEASE" my understanding is it was a 1 year lease and the lease simply ended. Strange that it was 1 year though
  5. black april/2009 R35 Premium. 15,907 km's From victoria (rego number: GTR J35) got $132k +3.3% auction fee + other on roads .... It sold, wonder what reserve was? Don't know if it had voided waranty or not either... Decent price though, looked in good condition aswell.
  6. the black 599gtb with the yellow callipres? If so Ive got it still, courtesy car (strokeing my ego) as I wait for my 458 to come in (end of next year). And when are you guys going to sell that db7 and the silver 360 spider, they have been there since before i bought my first 360 (9 months now)... the price and milage of these cars keep going up but they can not sell them.
  7. so do you guys know where Shaun Baker has gone?
  8. People creating road rage and crap for no reason doesn't help either
  9. That is why SAU has no chance in changing it's public image
  10. ADM 09's are going for well under $140k and as Snowman said I have also seen ADM R35's going for the $120k mark aswell and the odd closer to $100k for imports. If you could find an import $20k cheaper or more than an equivalent ADM then i'd grab the Import. If not then grab a used ADM. The used car market for R35's have had the ass raped out of them to the extent that imports are not really a cost effective venture anymore... all because of the Luxury car tax and the fact that people are not paying the money for used R35's. I'm looking for an R35 as a daily, I haven't done much research, but it doesn't look like there is a big enough saving to import it myself with my Raws Mate, I don't think the new car price is justified as the prices around the world are an easy $50-$90k cheaper depending on the country (new R35 in UK costs $105k AUD onroad!!!! http://www.nissan.co.uk/#vehicles/sports-cars/gt-r ), and the fact that a used ADM is such a big saving on new and isn't much more expensive than an import makes an ADM most probably the way to go. It all depends on the price and individual cars you are comparing them too, also the ADM's are a year younger and if you expect to keep the car for 15years (which i doubt you will but is possible) an adm will be worth much more then... Basically you can justify it anyway you like, but this is my thought process, i'm still not decided and i'm only expecting to keep the car for a year or two before I get sick of it and get a new daily. Or take the plunge and get a 458 Italia for an extra $500k ontop of the price of a used R35, awesome car to drive, not really a daily though and not really value for money
  11. Yup, it was the first in AUstralia, it is the demo that Italia Motori use for product launch, test drives, something for buyers to look at. Was it around lunch time? They usually drive it up to the CBD for appointments for test drives by ceo's and what not...
  12. EARTH will do the trick, failing that use the UBD
  13. You on green P's? If so I saw you today in WPH... car looks super white.... Respray?
  14. trade 4 wheels in for 2 wheels
  15. I got done in a transit lane in 2008, only $79 fine and no demerit points.... I wouldn't think the bus lane things would have been any different to the transit lane fines. Doesn't sound fair matey
  16. Don't burn me because you might find this interesting, and it is the real reason behind the spark plug gap issues..... I don't doubt that spark gap from 1.1 - 0.8mm makes a difference in an engine, becuase I have experienced it myself in many cars... but it doesn't have anything to do with the distance having further to travel. spark distance will not make a difference in anything under 120million rpm @ 1mm gap 120km/second = 120 000 000 mm/second 1mm gap means the same spark can travel 120million times back and forth in one second 120million times / 8000rpm = 15 000 spark chances per every rpm. So you would agree there is an overkill???? Sorry bout my maths but I thought that was the same reason aswell, further the gap the slower it travels and may cause problems in high rpms....but some wanky engineer proved to me it has nothing to do with the distance the spark has to travel, it is determined about how quickly the car can regenerate a spark. Say the store value of electricity to creat a spark @ 1.1mm has a value of 1 unit to make the spark. Then when it creates a spark it's eleectricity store value then drops to 0.5 units, it then has to regenerate from 0.5units back to 1unit to create another spark. If the gap is shortened it means you now only need 0.8 units of electricity to create a spark instead of 1 unit, basically the regeneration time of electricity to create the spark is reduced, not the spark distance time... Same out come as what is common accepted knowledge, but the reason behind it is different. If there was a constant supply of electricity to create the spark, then you could in theory have a spark distance of 15meters and still have no problems at 8000rpm. In the near future this issue of voltage dropping after every spark should be eliminated and spark plug distance and material types will not make any difference. But it is likely that petrol technologies in market share decline will render this breakthrough useless (in cars anyway) as more and more car companies are trying to introduce alternative fuels. I have re read this and it makes sense to me, but if you can not work out what i mean, the concept is similar to the old school camera flashes... where you would take a photo with the flash on, then you had to wait a second for the battery to give out enough power for the next flash. If you took the pictures very quickly and not letting the battery fully electrify the flash elements, then the flash would be weak or wouldn't work. Basically the flash is the same as the spark....
  17. easy solution, buy an import and tune it how you want it.... if the mods stuff the car up, then you won't have to worry about warranty. If you are purchasing the car because it is quick and comes with a warranty, then leave it stock untill it is out of the warranty period.... otherwise don't complain if they verbally said they will cover it, and then go back and say it was modded so warranty is void.... in which case you would have been about $80k infront if you just gone straight out and picked up a cheaper import.... Import or Aussie delivered doesn't make much difference, except LC, Navigation and 08 model....
  18. What you talking about YUlleh!!!! that is hektic to the max cuz!!!!! Was it a non turbo on chromes with a candy purple paint job sitting 2cm from the ground as well???
  19. Spotted Tangents comming out of the RAAF (richmond) base in his stagea this arvo
  20. Even bigger upgrade from the fez and lambo
  21. Tell me you didn't waste money on Super Car club Steve. The SCC CLK black by all accounts was a lemon after 10 000km, lost a noticeable amount of power and has since been bouncing around the Auction houses not selling... And it is good to have seen a pic of the Galardo Spider with no major scratches or dents and it still has it's lambo badge on the bonnet (which has since gone missing), that particular car also went like shit compared to how they should have, but you must have seen it in it's newer days by the looks of it in the pic. Both the black and galardo have since been raped (and not the good kind)
  22. A bright red, European made....... . . . . .. .. . . .. ... .. . .. . Ford Transit
  23. spotted R34liner on Gilbert road driving past Castle hill cemetary
  24. If I understood you correctly..... I'd say less than 50% of SAU forum users have seen a race track in person, and everyday on Sydney roads I see atleast one guy being a total retard in a skyline on the streets without fail (if i'm doing a lot of driving on the day, i'm not talking about short trips), i'd say closer to 90% of skyline drivers have done things on the street that are worthy of loss of licence or disciplinary action under the "hoon laws", they just haven't all been caught or some of them just don't do stupid stuff anymore in the skyline. There is a reason why the rear electric stove top tail lights attract police attention, and it isn't because skyline drivers generally drive like a granny. (no i'm not saying HSV or silvia drivers are any better) And yes it does reflect bad on the club even though they may not even know a skyline club exists
