  1. YOu should be able to pick up a 2nd hand 09 ADM for the same price as importing and complying an 08 JDM, The ADM's prices have plumeted worse than a fat lady trying to stay on a diet while she is trapped overnight in a cheese cake store, Get the ADM if the price is right, in the future it would be more desireable. There are spares commming out left right and centre, I wouldn't worry about Nissan trying to bend you over if you break something expensive, there will be plenty of half cuts comming over soon, not to mention the ones that get smashed here already, tuning shops are frantically making their own parts up, worse comes to worse you send out for parts overseas just like with any other skyline model. If you do get a grey import, then you have leverage to make him go down on price if it is already in the country, play it off with the ADM ones, save your coin, it will hold it's value better in the short term because you have already saved allot on it. Buy a new ADM today and be prepared to take $60k off the price basically tomorrow. buy an adm for $80k, sell it tomorrow for $90k....... either way i'd be hard pressed to pay more than $130k for a used ADM gtr at the moment seeing as how they are not selling... Besides $130k is what the car should be worth new, stupid bloody taxes, 33% luxury car tax over $47180, 5% customs tax, 10%gst ect.... no wonder why the rest of the world is paying so much less for the same car overseas.
  2. Where have you been living? THey have access to all our bank accounts through the ATO, if they wanted to they could theoretically empty all of our bank accounts and turn OZ into a communist state and start a nuclear program. (don't know how easy it can happen in practice)
  3. Think we should name and shame? In the end all skylines represent the club through the eyes of the greater public...
  4. nothing new, the locations are on the RTA website
  5. spotted a knob in a black r33 series 1 yesterday fanging it around the roudabouts on new line road with very heavy traffic all around, i just laughed AT him when he gave me a nod
  6. was the number plate 5432? Ive had an 08 black galardo spider on test drive lately, found out the car had some unwanted history behind it so i took it back.
  7. That is Doms car, it is an absolute weapon. His brothers both have red convertible F430's, one of which has the number plates "F1".
  8. In the quest for speed, sacrifices are made to weight reduction, most of the sacrifices reduce the strength and crumple zone of super cars. The Italians and Germans have done it right. By the looks of this car Toyota has forgotten about safety to build a stupidly quick car. In the end that is what you have to expect can happen when travelling high speeds in any car. A helmet can improve the chance of survival, but it doesn't mean you can survive big crashes...
  9. yeah but if it played out as you said it did, then it is the other drivers fault..... I agree safety cams are stupid and just another money spinner for a governemnt that is in debt, but if it creates a few more rear enders and less t-bones or head ons then isn't that worth the increase in rear enders? Especially if it came down to your turn and you were the guy involved in the t-bone? The idea should reduce fatalities at notorious intersections, but really how many accidents happen at intersections in Sydney that were caused by speeding through a red light that were not involved in a high speed car chase or a stolen car? Safety cameras are a false sense of security as most traffic light incidents happen from stolen cars who don't care if they are running red lights over the speed limmit. Safty spikes that deploy at speeding cars or red light runners would be better than a camera, but that is just my imagination lol.
  10. More pics.... http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-news/supe...00624-z0e6.html Another reason to buy a Euro over Jap, No one can beat them in passenger safety. The LFA was way way over on the wrong side of the road.
  11. YUp, it has an imaculate service record, service every 900km, everything is as it should be and the belts were done last year (500km before I bought it, since then ive already put 1000km in 3 months, most driving it has ever had in 3 months, it's average by previous owner was 1000km/year) what a waste @ 1000km/year.
  12. I think you missed what the thread is about.... he can build a quick r32 gtr, but it is still in the dark ages, it's quick.... that is about it. You are not getting the comfort, the stability, the reliability, the drivability, higher insurance, defects galor, unable to use as a daily driver ect.... Anyone can build anything to be quick, but these prestige cars can do the speeds of a gtr and also come with heaps of added extras that you are not likely to be able to or be bothered to put in them. All comes down to what you want in a car, and if you are looking at Rs4's and 911's, frankly an r32 gtr is not what you would be after at all. If you want something genuinely quick, then buy a bike, other than that you have no idea what speed is...
  13. but he might like the look of a mangled looking r35?
  14. I'd go 996 easily out of those. E92 looks good on the outside but has pretty much no balls compared to the other cars, M3 has a decent motor but looks like shit and every obnoxious little asian woman who scraped together $20k for an e46 320i will think that her BMW is better than the M3... RS4 is good, but they don't look aesthetically good. TTS is an amazing car, i'd put it performance wise better than most non turbo 996's and on the track it feels like it can keep up with an M3, they just handle awesome. Too bad they look like a girls car still. 996 is a good all round car. I'd go for this for the money.... http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=1293D6FC39EA Or a C63
  15. That car has been around for quite some time, all I can help you with is it was done in Japan....
  16. on the other hand we do have a lot of room that is useless to grow most crops in, but other types of plant materials grow there just fine, we can use these areas, we just need to find plants that can grow in these areas and still makes it viable to produce a profit for ethanol production...
  17. We already use the suga cane waste to produce ethanol in our fuel today. We have enough waste product in other farming industries to support at least a larger ethanol industry than we have today. How much larger it can grow before crops are dedicated to fuel than food is anyones guess, i'd imagine that food crop sold as food would fetch a higher price than crop sold to fuel industry because the good quality crop is better to eat. The shit quality crop that we throw away anyway would cost a lot less and the waste crop would be more likely to be used as fuel... Any cellulose bassed material can be used to make ethanol so it doesn't just have to be food crop that is used. But yes if they use the space to grow for ethanol instead of food then we might be screwed. Guess time will tell.
  18. it benefits the employer a lot more than an employee. The FBT doesn't make it look so good either. Unless you are doing high km's for work it isn't really that crash hot... Insurance is higher aswell isn't it.
  19. So same guy?
  20. Spotted Kyle Sanderlands in his Phantom on Sunday at Bondi, and spotted Degroot heiress in her Phantom on castle hill road sunday..... 2 phantoms in one day
  21. I can get hold of a rear projection for you, think it's about 60ish cm, my parents said they were going to give it to my grand parents. But i'm sure they have a working TV already, maybe you will end up with their tv instead, think they had a 40cm rear projection. I'll let you know when I talk to everyone next.
  22. We share the same beliefs, especially with the food part... Figued it out, they don't give two shoots about loss of licence, they just want it on record so if it has been too many times they are likely to refuse insurance for the following year... looks like driving history doesn't change premiums much/if at all as long as it isn't 11tybillion times in a year. No claims history with full comprehensive since I started driving pays off in the end I guess
  23. Loss of licence doesn't alter your premium much anyway.....It reduces the chance of some one giving you insurance, but it doesn't change the premiums much if at all. Fungoolie is right when it is accident record that determines the biggest chunk of premiums. It all makes sense now with why my own insurance is so cheap....
