Frk I love being right all the time, the car got $295K and didn't meet reserve. Guess I was right and the rest of SAU was wrong once again
-
Wow the car got passed in at $59k, guess you guys were wrong wern't you, import 22b's are worth even less than I even thought it was going to get at auction, I thought it would hit atleast $63 because of excited enthusiasts. I still don't think it's worth more than $40k + transfer, auction fee, rego, ect... so something around $50k all up is what it is worth maximum in todays climate in this country.

as said earlier, no two cars are the same. But my rb25det went from 160rwkw with just pod and catback to 195rwkw with 3inch turbo back exhaust, fmic and 10psi boost on standard ecu (untuned) and standard turbo, everything else on the car performance wise is stock aswell. Really it was the cheapest and easiest with best bang for buck mods ive done to the car. 10psi for nearly 2 years now and the turbine shaft still has barely any freeplay in it. (but have i just jinxed myself now?) the graph curves are pretty straight aswell... i'm just putting it out there and i have no evidence to support it but it makes me wonder if it's a series 1 vs series 2 issue? Series 2's can handle it and series 1's can't???? I know plenty of blokes in series 2's and r34's that havent come across this issue. Has anybody else noticed a pattern emerging?

we did try to tell you lol. but atleast you found out for yourself and came to your own conclusion that only agreed with what the rest of us said lol. you still looking for a car? Anything else tickle your fancy?

Honest Opinions On Xforce Exhaust Systems
Kujotk replied to GTR_driver's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You and a few others here seem to be taking it abit personal, what is more important than steel quality is the angles of the welds and if the holes line up to the turbo. My Xforce dump works fine, but out of 4 bolts and 2 nutts i can only get 3 bolts and 1 nutt to fit the dump/front pipe to the turbo, been like this for a few years now with no leaks, however it was a massive pain to get it on, and i installed it with 2 different say blokes one of which was the NSW president at the time who has worked allot on his own car and the other guy has just finnished turning his into a fully prepped race car. I know what needs to be done, it involves drilling another hole to line up with the turbo properly and quite allot of shaving of the pipe on one side is needed to get the nutt on the side of it. can not use different sized nutts or a bolt to make it fit. And if i shave the metal down i'm not sure if i'll have to shave too far down that it makes a hole in the wall of the dump. So i decided to leave as is and hope it doesn't leak. For now as its not a highly tuned car alittle bit of overlap petween the faceplate and the turbo exhaust hole isn't much of an issue, instead of 3inch of exhasut gasses being pushed through at a time the connection between the turbo and dump is probably equivalent to a 2.9inch dump instead of 3inch, but it doesn't make any noticeable power difference and i dont think it makes much difference to when the turbo spools. but if i wanted over 300rwkw i'd definately be changing it to a pipe that fits 100% flush with the turbo exit hole. The metal is abit off topic and that only gives it a different sound and makes it look pretty (before it gets used and turns ugly colours anyway). As you said a 3inch hole is just as good as the next 3inch hole. But if you buy cheap and the face plates don't mach properly like my xforce one and there is no way to get all the bolts on, then your risking having to fiddle around with it down the track. -
spotted r32 saturday @ Janalli/bonnet bay, number plate SLY.32T or SLY 32R. Spotted series 1 r33 @ dural today plates NSN.25T

Honest Opinions On Xforce Exhaust Systems
Kujotk replied to GTR_driver's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I guess your one of the guys who goes to china with a bright idea to import a product at the cheapest possible price and the chineese say "sure we can make it for that price, and give you some sweet and sour pork for free", little did they know that they didn't say the metal they would use would be mixed with so much crap it melts at exhaust temps lol. Don't worry 1000's of people have been burnt like that, the trick is to not negotiate too much or they will bend you over and you will be out of pocket. there are even more shonky steel mills in china now than there were 5 years ago, the only thing that has changed is the companies that we now deal with have gained a name for themselves of being high quality (higher quality), so the manufactureres and imports start to use the better companies (and know to avoid certain dodgey companies) and end up paying alittle more for production to get a superior product.... if you get what i mean... For the original OP I use a xforce dump/front pipe and highflow cat with fujitsubo catback.... lets just say i swapped the xforce cat for a straight pipe, the cat was bought a few years ago now so i don't know if they have gotten better since, but the dump/front pipes are doing fine, but thjere was/is installation issues with it and the holes don't line up exactly flush.... all depends on budget, if you can afford a catco or metal cat or something i'd go for that, if on a budget xforce is alright but for the price don't expect miracles. Try not to go skimpy on the cat because your exhaust is only as good as the flow of the catalytic converter, the good cats feel the same as having no cat at all. -
don't be a tight ass and valet it, they never let my cars out of sight. Star city valet or some of the other hotel valets are the only places half decent when it comes to minimising the risk of a car being stolen.... Excluding crown casino in melb when they give any joe blow the keys to a 430 ferrari...

i wasn't googling you, I was looking up the news on my phone when i was bored today and saw the headline on ABC news "STEVEN HILL KILLED FELLOW PORN STAR" and I was like hang on a sec, i know steven hill lol

So I started this thread to warn people where these cameras are because there are new ones comming up every day and there is minimal signage, and it has turned into a "don't speed" rant and some idea that 2km/hr over is not bookable???? It is currently bookable but they are callobrated to 3km/hr over the limmit for the time being, do 2km/hr over the limmit past these cameras after August and we will see how long you guys keep your licence for.... FYI 2km/hr over the limmit by a callobrated machine in NSW is going to be a bookable offence, point to point has been using 2km/hr as there minimum guide for well over 3 months now. The reasoning behind it is if there is a doubt from the machine that they need to give a buffer zone for faulty readings, then they are implying the speeds caught by these cameras are not accurate and therefore can not be used. This is comming from the mouths of one of the head honcho's in the NSW RTA of which I am on first name speaking terms with. Every one of us goes a few km's over the limmit with or without knowing, past cameras or not, if you are not aware of the cameras and your just cruising at the limmit and just happen to creep over the limmit past a place you didnt know was a safty camera then your rooted right? I'm not sure if some of you guys have noticed the safety cameras with their single tiny sign that blends in with other signs, there is no more 3 sign warnings with this type of camera so to say "don't speed" is pretty stupid, if you know the camera is there then you definately won't be doing near the speed limit let alone speeding. I don't think there is any need for the smart ass "don't speed" comments then, when I go past a camera I make sure i'm doing about 5km/h under the limmit just to make sure because it's not worth a fine through a bump on the road that knocks my foot down the tiniest amount to push me over the limmit or incase the camera is faulty and mistakes 60km/hr for a higher speed, or even the accuracy of our speedos. If you don't notice the camera is there that tiny buffer zone is your only chance, and that buffer zone is about to get smaller. Sure we shouldn't speed (even 1km over the limmit), but this isn't about purposely speeding, this is about cruising at the limmit asif nothing is wrong and not noticing a safety camera and you happen to just coast past a camera a few km's over the limmit, or from years or even decades of doing the Yellow light dash? Isn't it better to know about the camera now on this thread rather than getting a fine in the mail or possibly having an accident from speeding through a safety camera? a fine is too late if you've already had the accident isn't it?

Parting Out Auto R33 Gtst - No Damage
Kujotk replied to SECURITY's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
do both of the water pumps work for the windshield (rear and front)? I bought a pair of some guy for $10 and only one works, can't remeber which one is the faulty one but i'll let you know if you decide to part it. -
I think you should hand yourself in Doof http://www.hovied.com/entertainment/2010/s...s-02061452.html

where is the fun in that?

So thats why Hitler got the biggest merc he could find and put on an extra rear axel, because he was saying he could afford the biggest???? He must have had the tiniest D#*k http://www.google.com.au/images?um=1&h...g4&gs_rfai=

Thats mad Taz lol. Dad had a late 80 300E back in the day, sold it in 1999 with over 300k on the odometre, thats what I mean about getting the older ones or the newer ones and not the economy ones, but one of the rear doors came off around 1998 as we were about to head to a Swannies game. Although the economy mercs since 2005 are well built, but they went through a slump when they introduced the tight ass mercs like the A and C class. The Real mercs like the E, S classes have always been good. Dad now has a CLS and that thing is gangster, it even drives and paralell parks itself.... if it wasnt so big it would actually make a decent daily driver
-
they are called radar detectors but most of them work for lazer aswell, it's just the name of them, we know cops usually do speed with lazer guns but most of us still call it radar
-
lol you do that, and when they point the gun at your car and notice you brake, then they point the gun away and you speed up, then they do that cycle again because sometimes the detectors just go off and then you'll have the car searched. The gov may be (semi broke) but they spend on things that make them money. They'll then walk up to the car with the gun and activate the gun in your car and they will look for lights and listen for the sound of the detector. Besides in NSW they don't need to give you the 3 second speed confirmation test anymore, they can get the reading from less than half a second now which renders the detector useless.... Actually on 2nd thought keep using your detector, get done for speeding and the detector at the same time and what other goodies you may have in the car
-
i'd steer away, the economy mercs of that age were full of gremlins and expensive repairs, besides that the car is over priced, 100k service is due, and they look shocking anyway.
-
you rather aids over cancer??????
-
steer away from late 90 eary 2000's, the c class has only gone decent with the current model
-
Kia rio, it survived the first 4 years of my driving life and it used to get airborn back in the p'plate days...... tut tut tut i hang my head in shame now, but nevertheless the car copped the punishment

no one says they are not going to keep going up, but here in OZ, the OZ delivered one for $90k with history ect, Versus a $70+ jap/uk import. The OZ delivered will be the thing that sells the car if you ever have to, and you will get much much more interest in it in Australia, even if they were identical cars inside and out, for a difference of $20k today could mean $50k+ difference in 10 years time when it's time to sell, not to mention 9 people out of 10 would rather buy the OZ delivered than a private import. If I was buying a 22b, I would have bought the OZ delivered one a couple months ago over a private import purely because I know it is the better choice between the two and chances are I won't be sitting on it for 6 months waiting for it to sell like an import 22b would if it came tme to sell it. If it wasn't for Subaru bringing a few out to OZ, the import ones would be selling for $90k instead of $70k
-
lol at Edward Lee for consignment, that's suicide. I know you can get an import in aswell Cheff, but the fact is an OZ delivered just got $90k, I'd rather the OZ delivered at that price than an import pushing $70-$80k purely because you will definately get your money back later. 0% picking one up? there was an OZ delivered 22b at either mosman or double bay for sale last month or month before for $90k, service history and prestine condition. (aparently it was OZ delivered). I started looking into them when an old guy drove one to visit my neighbour a few months ago. An import 22b as an investment is a fail. 10 year old performance car costing $70k with no history isn't worth that price, but if you really want one and your not fussed about resell then your not fussed about price, in which case you might aswell offer $200k for the car... Same thing with exotic imports, for starters they are worth alot less, 2nd they usually have major problems as they dont have service records and their is no history of the car, 3rd they are next to impossible to sell (unless its for race use or you find a cashed up sucker to buy it). It's like getting one of our OZ delivered 22b's and sending it to Japan to sell, it will always be worth allot less than the original jap ones they have there.

This isn't the first 2.0L r34 that has come into the country, there was a post on here a couple of years ago by a guy who only realised he bought a rb20 R34 after he had it for a while. Edit: Can't find the car mentioned above but there are others around the place http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...&hl=gtv+gtx
