  1. Ummm???? Completely different cars and completely different price bracket. Are you sure you know what you are doing???
  2. Is this the car??? Not too many green bentley's around...
  3. This is no surprise, and funny thing is back in the late 90's my dad offloaded a prestige English car to Ian at cars Austohaus Pennant hills, they didn't even test drive it. Got market value for that car.... went home in a cheaper car at less than asking price, but they didn't realise untill the next day that the car had a blown head or cylinder or something like that, it was so long ago now.... at a cost back then of an estimated $30k to repair.... What goes around comes around aye..... I know of a few high caliber cars being offloaded by a Viet guy in Sydney (he also had an R34gtr v-spec 2 for sale a few months back) with 100% wound back milage. People have complained about it and found evidence of it but he is still unpunished. The RTA doesn't seem like they want to tackle this problem which is so easy to detect and deter..... The blame goes to the RTA at the end for allowing this to happen so easily. But lets be honest, we all know this exists, that is why we spend so much time sussing a potential buy, and the whole reason why the SAU community judges a car by the way it drives as well as the tell tale signs of ware, and doesn't just blindly buy a used car purely by trust and honesty of the vendor...
  4. Wow he's gone far from home...
  5. Nah mate, still in Europe, getting ready for a bloody cold winter, having to put all types of anti freeze stuff in anything that can freeze, change tires for ice and snow and a whole lot of changing habits like checking for ice before attempting to open a car door kr you could rip a window, door handle or door sills right off lol. What's up?
  6. If it is definately a CCX and not the CCR that caught fire, then it is definately the one that is being chased by the finance companies. Is that why you won't disclose location???? Sounds like an easy way for a $50k finders fee if it is and if he isn't a mate of yours lol
  7. Lol they are all targa tops...
  8. They don't come in rag top, and the car you saw is a CCR not a CCX, the one that was on fire and damaged..... :rofl2: A CCR is just a ford engine anyway....
  9. Sure it isn't a CCR??? Not a CCX???
  10. You sold your R33 GTR because other cars not as good as the gtr looked similar and had a badge on it???? Anyone who matters can spot a fake from a mile away (unless someone has spent a shit load of $$$ on body work on a car that isn't worth doing it to), and you really gave up the performance and satisfaction of owning an R33 gtr back in 2000 (which then was the equavalent of owning a 2008 JDM R35 in todays terms) because there was others that looked similar??? That is the type of snobby thought process of................... it doesn't make sense, they are all Datsun afterall I miss my Datsun still (oh and it had a gtr front bar, no badge or anything else)
  11. I'd rather the orange one that hasn't caught fire....
  12. Is it at Mosman or St Leonards these days??? Or at an underground hide out?
  13. Did you see the Hardtop or the Convertible black CCX? Is that the one with "financial troubles"? The one that smashed and caught fire a few years back???
  14. Was it the one that got smashed on the weekend????
  15. Mario did your families cars???? He's pretty speialised in what he does.
  16. You took a car you own to a carwash that uses a sponge to wash your car???? Save the money and usually time, most of all your car's appearance, take it to a high pressure carwash booth and do it yourself. Better yet, buy yourself a karcher and do it from home. Then just use a clean chamois to dry it off.
  17. If it were worth while.... there would be a flood of them comming over, the fact is there isn't a flood of them making their way over to aus. Everyday the AUD weakens, the more expensive this operation will cost. Bring something decent over instead, something that will sell and leave you with profit at the end as well as being able to enjoy a car for 12 months. Other than that I know people that would love to pay you to use your stay in the UK to bring something special over that can only enter the country under the Private Import scheme.
  18. Spotted a Skyline (r34 GT, with stupid GTR badge on front) at a carpark in Austria on the weekend. First Skyline I have seen since leaving Australia 4 months ago.... I don't recognise the number plate style so must have something to do with being a used non-eu compliant car.... I miss my skyline
  19. Was the plates black and silver or black and gold???? He's been hanging around the hils for ages
  20. Although you have to remember to keep the portable jump starter pack charged or it is useless lol
  21. If I didn't drive my old r33 fir about 9 days or more, The alarm would drain the shitty tiny battery that nissan would allow to fit in that tiny section in the boot. It was a full rhino Australian standards IMObiliser and alarm with built in turbo timer. I'd probably clutch start it once every 6 months or so. I always carried a portable jump starter pack as well and it came handy if it went flat in a carpark or somewhere flat. I never once had issues with the IMObiliser not deactivating. They clutch start really easy, once did it on a slight slant, you would barely notice it sloped at all.
  22. As a condition to my European car insurance, I have been told I have to install one of these things into my cars in Austria. Apparently the one I have does not send a GPS signal unless manually activated in the cabin or during a hard accident. It is meant to find the car if it is ever stolen and it is used if your car breaks downin the middle of nowhere and you don't know where you are, you activate it and the equivalent of the NRMA comes out to you. Or if it is activated by a car accident, the police, fire and ambos are sent to you automatically.
  23. Yes + 10% GST and 5% customs duties on the full price..... No matter how you look at it, it isn't worth importing one. Bring over an LM002. That is what will go up in value, even if you don't like them. I personally love them.
  24. Just at Bob Jane Castle Hill, ask for Sam. Tell him Tom with the Gallardos and Feraris sent you, he'll give you a deal. They use a portable sub contractor. I've had gutter rash on the Lambo wheels and they only cost $80 per wheel to repair. look at post number 875 bob jane Lol we are talking gutter rash not gutter dents lol
  25. Did you mean a Scuderia F430? Or another car?
