  1. It's not the car at fault, it is the pussy owner that buys them for the sake of buying them to pose and not giving them a good thrash every now and then. On one hand if you had a $500k car that you paid for yourself, you would be more reluctant to drive it hard at places where insurance won't cover it. So to get around this you drive them on the streets instead since an accident is covered lol. Otherwise become a mechanic and thrash customer cars instead... but then you'd have to be a mechanic and having to deal with everyone elses problems lol... Having said that I just purchased insurance that covers the Nurburgring and exsesive speeds in European Union roads so i'm all set
  2. Yes you can, two ways. One is personal import but have to change steering wheel over and then go through issues of fabricating all your own parts as there is no pre manufactured kit from Porsche. Other is get it into New Zealand, register it there (need to be one of the first 50 or so applicants in the year to have a chance of having a LHD car with registration), then send it over to Australia as a holliday car, the holliday car permit gives you one year to drive it in Aus, at which time it has to be sent back overseas and then brought back over again after it has cleared customs, or have the temporary vistors permit extended. However Customs will take a 100% deposit from you of the value of the car, which you get it back once the car leaves customs, and the car will not have australian registration.
  3. I'd repair those rice lights before the wheels though lol :P
  4. $200???????????? I get mine done for ~$60~$80 a rim depending on how much damage. And even then I still know i'm getting ripped off because of the cars badges.
  5. This thread needs more ictures of spotted cars. I have been on here searching for any spots of my old car... I miss her. And RTA search reveals number plate has been changed Will I ever see my baby again
  6. Local paper ads are usually online these days. Come to think of it, so are most things and so is this thread
  7. Short answer, buy locally delivered, otherwise save your personal import for a phantom drop head, bentley gt supersport, or a 458/lp700
  8. Is that a 924 station wagon? Looks like a z3 hard top lol. Only 928 I drove was an automatic Hong Kong import one back in the late 90's. I remember doing a 0-100 time at 7 seconds lol, back then the hills area was mostly farmland. Yes it was extremely slow compared to today's standards and even when I drove one. But when they were first released they were actually pretty good cars compared to what else was on the market at the time. Although today a Mazda 3 is just as fast.
  9. If an r35 isn't a super car, what is it then? Not a sports car, 350 and 370z are. R35 is light years from just a sports car. Is it a super sports car instead? They are still pretty super lol
  10. Are you retarded??? Talking about KINgS stupid car and having an orgasm over some Z??? You have to be being sarcastic???? And considering the 458 spider pic you put up is a guess of what it will look like when it gets released as that pic is an artists impression... *face palm*
  11. You talking about the Enzo? Yeah that was the uk number plate. In Austria you can't use the sticker, but you can get a front plate exemption. Car lives in Austria now.
  12. Was it an orange Murcielago convertible??? Number plates bpt.34j??? Probably somewhere between the silverwater to dural areas of Sydney and in-between?
  13. Not in Aus, but can always come over for a 12 month visit and be road legal to drive even though it is a LHD car, then hopefully extend the temporary import application, if not then take it to new zealand and apply for it again, and again and again.
  14. An R35 getting a crowd of the general public? I think not. An R35 getting a crowd at a race event, probably yes, a lot of male attention, especially wanna be street racer attention and cop attention. An R35 loosing a race event, very unlikely, especially the latest ones. GT3RS is pretty much useless on the streets, what has a Porsche got to do with the topic, you are so random. Gallardo wins on style, sound and the way it makes you feel. They are not the fastest cars, they are still quick, although not as quick as the playstation cars :nyaanyaa: lol. And for the purpose of this topic, I really doubt an R35 would draw even 20% of the looks a nice clean, black, extremely loud Gallardo would get. Sure the R35 is friggen lightning fast, but as for drawing a crowd?????
  15. I dont get how driving 50 hours or 150 hours on learners is going to be much benefit. I know NOBODY who has done the full hours except for me ( I only had to do 50hours but I ended up doing probably +300 as I would drive and not record it so in the end it was all fake days and milage but the experience time was there). After the first 50 hours you are well aware of how to drive a car around corners, brake, accelerate, what the rules are etc.... But none of us really ever stop being learners. Just because you get your p's or fulls does NOT mean you stop learning how to drive. Most of a persons learning is just done by driving experience, this can not be condenced into 50, 120 or 150 hours of driving with a possibly in experienced or wrongly educated adult in the passengers seat.
  16. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Have you driven either cars? The porsche has no guts but revs to hell and seems faster than it is because of seating position, ride quality and noise. They corner like nothing else. The kingswood is basically a steel coffin, literally. You'd easily go twice or 3 times the speed of a kingswood around a corner in an 89' 911 and make it out the other side. Kingswood is better of being melted down and turned into another sydney harmor bridge (because it has so much steel in it lol) I know what you are getting at though, I agree
  18. Not sure about the old car thing or the 5 years thing, but it does sound like something Germany would do (only been here for a few months, still learning, also learning that German humor isn't like back at home lol). The new car scheme of 3k euro is correct. Most of the developed world gives incentives to get rid of unsafe cars for new locallly built or owned car makes. May not be good for the environment (more energy to create new cars) but who cares if it saves lives from being wasted when an alternative is there.
  19. Also I would encourage my children to drive a high powered car instead of making it a taboo thing, not as an everyday car but as a "lets go out together and drive this powerful car". Look at Australias youth alcohol problem, now look at Europes? They can legally drink whenever they like basically, but they dont generally go out to get wasted.... same sort of thing. Make something seem bad for you and the youth will always chase it even if they arn't ready for it. Then compare it to america, they have a higher drinking age and their alcoho culture is even more screwed than australias. It is all related but realy there is nothing that can be done. You just have to accept that driving is a matter nof trusting complete strangers not to missbehave and that driving is potentially the most dangerous thing you are likely to do in yo0ur life.
  20. Same, when I was a P plater I was more shitscared of my old man than some random police officer... I knew a copper can't hurt me, I knew the old man would bring out his belt if I did something stupid lol. I got my old R33 gtst when on green p's (it was right before the laws came in so I was one of the last p platers who could legally drive a turbo), I did more stupid things in my first year of driving in a Kia Rio than I ever did in my Skyline which I only sold 2 months ago??? I do like the license suspension laws though. It possibly saved my life. I didn't smash or loose controll probably because I slowed the fk down after I lost my license while on my reds for speeding like an idiot in the RIO, If I drove the skyline how I drove the rio I would have killed myself at some point and probably taken out a whole lot of others with me. For me that punishment (and the $609 fine) worked for me. I can't say it will work for everyone. An age restriction is stupid though, as we can see it doesn't work, some people just flout the laws anyway, you can just as easily kill yourself in a 900cc 1980's renalt than you would in a turbo skyline, atleast if they smash a skyline there is more spare parts available for the rest of us, be it a motor, door panel, electric window relay, kidney.... No matter how much discussion we have, it all ends here and nothing gets done about it except for arguing. In the end, do what I did and move to Europe, 15 minutes from one of Germanys unrestricted autobahns FTW!!!!!
  21. That isn't my face, it was an ex Sau members wedding
  22. It doesn't, it is a 4wd not a sports car. And disc 3 and RR sport are worlds apart
  23. If I was I would have been drink driving, so not me.
  24. I do... You mean like this???
  25. Buy it and see for yourself. For me I know what cars that private vietnamese guy sells. I don't have to physically look at his cars anymore to know they ALL have major problems and fake history/Milage. If he does it to Ferrari and lambo I'm pretty sure he won't think twice about an R34. The guy is just a cheat. He could bring out a flawless perfect car one day but his reputation for delivering dodgy stuff overwrites everything. That is the problem with buying cars privately.
