yeah these pilgrims are annoying.,.... in your face and just not shutting up, i don't mind that they are happy, but they are also very loud mouthed and think they are better than the people who live in sydney. I was on the train and this yank just kept yapping on how cheap vietnam is.... saying his camera is worth $600 in the states and he got it for $30 in vietnam,,,, all i said to him was "all you went to vietnam for was the young boys, sit down and shut up when your on public transport and stop boasting because someone will rob you blind if your saying the camera is worth $600" then the idiot cried.... i walked away.... i didnt say anything bad did i? i just said the truth as i saw it lol and probably even saved his life from getting rolled in glebe for his awesome camera. Other than that there are some nicer pilgrims who are genuwine pilgrims and not just travelling to boast to their friends at church about how dedicated they are to the pope. Hell if i was rich i'd probably use the pope as an excuse to be a wanker infront of my peers aswell lol.

i want to pay for me and another friend who should be getting his evo 6.5 by then,,,,, is the evo allowed seing as it will probably whoop most of our assess lol,,, much like that little honda will if it does the things the owner says it does... and it looks like allot of people are intersted in this event.... will i get a spot? also i was one of the first to show interest in the event on this forum..... im so excited im going to loose my texikhana virginity

ok pulled the engine appart and had a look, seems that the guy i got to change the plugs didnt clip the coils in all the way..... also thats the last time i get someone else to do something simple on my car.... car is back to normal thanks evan

hey i wanna go but got no one to go with seing that my friends are pussys and dont have any decent cars..... i was wandering whats the price? how many runs do you get? do you need any special gear? my car is pretty much stock except for the exhaust, hd clutch and pod, any probs with that seeing as you guys are running considerable allot faster than me lol.... do you need a special lisence for it aswell??? prob cant make it this week unless i get my engine problem rectified..... i have a suspision its either the ignition coils or the afm.... its too late and too dark to have a look now.... cheers

i have just completed some forum searches and i think it may be the coil packs or the afm, seeing that both were played around with on the weekend by the mechanic and there seems to be allot of people in the past who had similar symptons as mine..... thank god i hope thats all it is and not the engine itself..... but i still want to know if anyone else thinks it may be something else, also i still would like to know what that wireing harness above is for..... cheers

Tonight i started my car to leave work at midnight and the car was shuttering and shaking, when i accelerated slowly it had noticable allot less power and it sounds like a WRX engine now comming out of the exhaust.... i pulled over immediately and found that there was a wireing harness that was not connected to anything that was previously connected before i took the car to get new spark plugs and a clean out of the throttle body (i think its the throttle body), so i reconnected this harness. this brown wireing harness sits toward the back of the engine bay on a brass looking cylindrical tube that seems to be sitting behind the plenum and may be connected to what i call the throttle body. There was no difference reconnecting this wire. What is this wire used for and how is this related to the problem i now face? I have provided a picture of the wire that was found not attatched... When i decellerate in gear the engine sounds normal and the car is smooth again... when i accelerate the car shakes and shutters and there is not allot of power, the exhaust seems to smell like something burning but the engine temp that is on the dash hasnt risen more than normal that is somewhere inbetween a 1/4 - 1/2 way up the temp guage,,, also my own temp guage that i have put in the engine bay has not risen above normal either... please help..... this prob is the last thing i need right now

i was wanting to know the difference between a series 2 and a series 3 gtst.... i dont know if they are officially called series 3 but i saw a guy on the weekend who had a 40th anniversary version and he said it had more power standard and there were only 1000 of them made. Is this true? and are there any other differences other than the badges on the side?

i just got pod, 3.5inch fujitsubo exhaust and i get about 400km with easy driving but i have never run the tank too close to empty so i could probably go further.... that doesnt happen anymore since i drive it harder now because im used to the car..... i get about 300-350km now.... but this is with old worn spark plugs and before my recent spring cleaning of my throttle body ( i think thats what its called)....i will fill up on tuesday and drive it soft for the next tank and see what i can get.... i should be able to get 450+ hopefully..... i'll let you know. also it is going to be hard trying to keep the car off boost, i love the feeling of getting thrown back in my seat, so this experiment may not work but mabey i'll be able to get 350km with my normal driving instead of 250-300

hey brendan ive researched into the issue and nissan recommends the idle to be 700-800rpm when warm, the sticker under my bonnet from nissan and the manual from nissan both say it (i have a japanese friend who found it for me since i cannot read jap) so my idle was way too low to begin with at 500-600rpm..... yours is at the lower end of the recommended spectrum and should have no problems at that rpm, if the idle starts going down do what i did cleaned the AFM, put new spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body and raised the idle rpm up by 100rpm, but keep track of when you put the sparks in and when and how much you put the idle up..... if you put it up by 100rpm every month or 2 you have an underlying problem...

true teng,,,, also i only used normal fuel ONCE because there was nothing around and had no choice....lol im an idiot but not stupid..... also dont be a tight ass on fuel,,,, put good stuff 98 oct in it and its usually less than $5 difference per tank..... $5 X 52 weeks is $260 more to use 98 octane than the 91 octane..... compare this to the probs that can be caused by the cheaper fuel..... new engine.... we looking at in the $1000's...... on that note..... what about the 98octane with 10% ethanol blend???? there is romours about ethanol destroying engines but from my understanding there was no proof???? ethanol is a natural octane booster and burns more efficient than conventional petroleum and is about 4 cents per litre cheaper, would there be any probs with that alternative??? the petrol companies say there should be no probs with any jap made car that uses a non carburator engine.....

i'll slap anyone who uses shell aswell,,,,,, i find it not as good as bp and caltex 98, car runs alittle rougher..... except for shell v power racing but i cannot find it anymore

could be thinning of oil or just a faulty reading,,,,, either one doesnt cause probs...... if your loosing lots of power when car shouldnt be too hot then start worrying lol -
r34 still uses an rb25det as does my R33 series 2, i put 91octane in once about 5 months ago when there was a shortage of premium fuel available in NSW, the car did run but not well..... had idle problems and had allot less power and the car never really ran the way it did untill yesturday when i flushed out the throttle body, changed the spark plugs and lifted the idle alittle...... the car can run on 91 but its not recommeded
