  1. hahahah yeah i noticed vpower wasnt as good or maby thats just in my head.... battery is fine..... only got it 2 mnths ago and still got correct amount of acid in it and voltage is over 14volts so that shouldt be the issue... i did find one leak in one of the hose seals but replaced it and same prob,,,, checked over all other hosses and seals and they look ok..... any other sugestions from anyone??? also i been reading up that allot of cleaning might need to be done to things like air flow meter.... the thing that sists behind the plenum nect to the fire wall.... dont know what its called but has something to do with the idle that can benefit from a good cleaning..... "well thats what i read on this website somewhere anyway"????
  2. hey john, thanks for looking at my car today and thanks for finding that the pcv valve seal was the leak that i heard. Highly recommend this guy... genuwine and no bull cheers
  3. Hey i need some help with my series 2 r33, Car drives well but when i'm doing little stop and starts and dodnt rev hard the car almost konks out and today at a roundabout it did turn off as i was rolling through it. Its a manual, when i do a light acceleration to about 2000revs and then come to a stop and i either push the clutch in or put it to neutral the car goes way under the 500-600rpm idle to about 200rpm and then goes back to normal idle. If the lights are on when this happens the lights dim. I replaced a faulty pcv valve today that had a leak hopeing that was the solution but same thing happens. When i rev it over 2000rpm and bring it back to idle the problem doesnt show... any ideas???? is it a fuel issue? Ignition issue? throw around some ideas please oh and i only use vortex 98 or Vpower fuels thanks
  4. also watch out for 120db alarms,,,, if its too sensitive you'll be paying allot of noise polution fines lol.... especially when a fellow rb26 or rb25 is screaming past in a car park lol just some food fr thought
  5. i had a look at alex's shop aswell about 6 moths ago,,,, i decided not to get a car from him only coz i found a better car for a slightly cheaper price from joel in castle hill....... also i dont care what anyone says.....EVERY 2ND HAND JAP IMPORT HAS ITS ODOMETERS WOUND BACKWARDS!!!!! don't you wonder how a car with 66k KM has a brand new steering wheel, perfect seats, usually a replaced gear knob, yet the window buttons are always worn or the carpet on the door next to the arm rest has seen better days lol.....you cant avoid it so if it sounds good and looks straight and goes hard... thats all you can hope for..... also my r33 was picked up with 66k Km on the dial..... for christ sake its a 96 model, 12 years old, that means 5,500km per year..... no way... japs that own their own car drive asmuch as we do over here in the cities and in 6 months im up to 75k KM already..... also the original owner wasted money on a full titanium 3.5 inch fujitsubo exhaust, rims, genuwine gtr front bar, expensive air filter and an expensive "but useless in australia soundsytem" but he only drove the car 66k in 12 years...... at the time i was looking for a new car, every dealer i saw had dodgey k's on them... all i could do was pick the best at the time and still to date no probs except a clutch upgrade.... thank god there such good cars
  6. also i dont know about you guys but my insurance insisted id at least get a 3 point black wire immobiliser or they won't cover it at all,,,, so i went all out and put an automatically engaging immobiliser with a brand name alarm and a built in turbo timer.... Fingures crossed its potentially very hard to steal... life would be better and cheaper if other people can be trusted and respect other peoples property
  7. don't bother paying for the parking in broadway, i used to go to tafe in ultimo a few years back and i had a 2001 kia rio, in 2 years i had 3 broken windows all at seperate times all of which were during the day on weekdays and on the last time it was broken into inside broadway shopping centre. i never had probs parking at the UTS or Haymarket car park. "imagine how many break inns id have with the skyline now". Yes they are abbos and roducts of the housing commision in the area.... good news is most of the housing commision have already been torn down and being replaced, hopefully glebe will become safer for our beloved street machines... also got jumped around the corner in ultimo and beat the shit out of him so i hope i beat up the guy who broke into your car lol... all you can do is alarm it, immobilise it and keep you fingures crossed they dont tourch it when they get frustrated after not being able to steal it...insurance never replaces a skyline, theres many skylines around but only the one you own is the good one and is irreplacable...
  8. saw a nice white r33 series 2 on monday afternoon going down pennant hills road at pennant hills at around 2.30 saw he got cut off by some wanker driver in a hatch back....
