to pull a sickie or not to pull a sickie...that is the question
-
yeah i know what you mean, especially when you're on public transport. osaka seemed to be the best for scoping out cars. Didn't get the chance to go Daikoku PA with a car so can't comment on what that'd be like. next time you go, try and plan it out. look up places which you know will have good cars, find their addresses, go there, buy a few things from workshops and chat to them, ask for photos of the cars and with them, make friends have a laugh and your mission is complete.

Apologies for the long delays..completely forgot that I had started this. So to continue on from where I left off.. Trial's R32 circuit car The bottom 33R is my dream.... Close up view Alcon 6 pot front/4 pot rear Matsumoto San and myself - If anybody needs a GTR from Osaka or Japan in general, this is the guy to go to. His english is sugoiiii Dotonbori in Osaka. Really good and cheap noodle place just beside the stairs called Men-Zy Too bad we didn't have a car Shibuya intersection @ Hachiko exit Hachiko - For any of you's that don't know, this is a very famous dog in Japan and there is a movie starring Richard Gere about the true story. It's called "Hachi" Went to the outer suburbs of Tokyo via a few trains to check out a few GTR's that I was interested in buying to find out that this dealer was closed...sigh At least we got photos behind the gates... Mainly interested in this blue one..but alignment of fenders/bonnet and respray could be an indication of something...plus the price Our disappoint was balanced by the rewarding trip to Super Autobacs though So much win... They ran out of the 330mm nardi deep dish wheel I wanted to buy, but it should arrive at my house this week I want this this this this this this this! As you can see, only a very small Nismo section. Not to worry, more on that later on. I ended up buying this And the mrs bought this It had to be done... To be continued !!

So since both workshops were closed, we decided to go back in 2 days, to our surprise, this was the first thing we saw... AUTO SELECT Yellow Shark R34 GTR T51R for those who may ask Carbon fibre - everywhere The R35 tucked behind was perhaps the most neglected car in the workshop... View of the rest of the workshop rivet strengthening more carbon fibre waiting for it's new owner Customer's "street" car...yeah...RIGHT... Not jealous at all.. The not so friendly guard dog That's it for now....to be continued tomorrow after well some much needed sleep

So my partner and I went to Japan for 2 weeks in November. Having been back for a week or so now, decided that it's time to share some photos of what people on this forum love most; skylines. Pictures of other random stuff are included as well. Enjoy! AUTO SELECT in Osaka Semi's just chilling out the front of AUTO SELECT TRIAL, just down the road from AUTO SELECT - unfortunately they were closed the first time we went. Hence, only pictures from a distance... Thank god this was parked at the very front.. No need for caption Better view of some other cars too

some stealthy looking black 32 gtst with a meshed out passenger headlight on vic pde yesterday, looked pretty mega. i was the guy who kept looking back at you while crossing the road lol and green p's white 34 with a (carbon? - sun was reflecting heaps, couldn't see properly) bonnet and gtr front passing rezza station

been wanting to do that, but never had the balls to lol only incident apart from buses pulling out of the bus stops right in front of me (over it now, used to it) was when i was going down mc kimmies, towards the dysons depot. was doing the limit of 70 and a "not in service" bus came from plenty road and sat right on my ass, left no more than a foot's gap. without hesitation, i slowed down to just under 40 and by that time he was already tooting while i flicked the bird at him. just as i expected he tries to go on the opposite lane so i just let it go, cos by the time, we were already approaching a roundabout which he almost collected a corolla. i have no problems with people driving quickly to get somewhere, because who knows, they may have a sick family member, wife's giving birth, needs to take a dump whatever. but when people sit on your ass, that's a whole different story.

next time a bus driver is about to pull out of a bus stop, just stop next to him and slightly ahead of him just so he can't get out. chuck your hazards on too. if he tries to reverse for room to pull out, reverse with him to keep blocking him off or there will probably be other cars behind you to block him anyway, who are all probably beeping at you too. if he gets off the bus, thats your green light lol

will definitely be coming to check this out if it's not gone by the time i come back from japan (late november) fingers crossed. in fact, i would love to own this so much that i can't even wish you good luck with sale lol just kidding, all the best mate

Spotted a white R33 GTR last night on lygon st/alexander parade intersection going towards city direction. I was heading the other way and saw him taking off pretty hard. Sounded great and was dropping jaws until I saw a cop car pull out from the traffic behind him to chase him. Such a shame, just chose the wrong place to do it.

btw, was out with a couple of lines and a silvia and sti last night the highlight for me was my mate's new R34 GTR V Spec in bayside blue. When he got the car, took it straight to race pace with N1's and is currently pulling 320rwkw on 18psi. the car is surprisingly legit, considering the person he bought it off lol, comp test resulted 175psi across all 6 within 4 cranks. Runs TE37 SL's and looks the goods
