  1. Keen to see results with new exhaust and actuators, when do you think that'll be happening?
  2. I've called them for other things in the past and they've picked up?
  3. Racepace still on holidays or too busy to pick up the phone?
  4. very bad timing though, expecting a long wait.......................................
  5. Wooo! Finally bought an engine!
  6. hone, new rings, back in. after i find the missing piston and rod (probs somewhere in sump).
  7. So I managed to get the plenum off in the car and i've got the head off too, look what I found =D
  8. It sure does, but Im trying to do it this way so that when I've got the head off it should be much easier to reach the top bell housing bolts that are apparently so hard to get to. Was staring at the oil filter today and was reminded of how much of a (c u next tuesday) its gonna be. Double checked and triple checked that oil filter relocation kit was on the high priority list
  9. Finished exams yesterday so today I've started work on the gtr again. Woke up nice and early in the morning, got all the nuts off the plenum and a few hoses that hadn't been removed yet. Timing belt is off also. Task is to remove plenum in the car, to my understanding it involves a lot of swearing but I never thought this much.. How the fu(k do I take this mother of a plenum off? I've unbolted the air chamber underneath and still no luck. Is it easier to pull them off the throttle bodies or easier to pull both out together? I can't see seperate nuts/bolt heads for the tb's so I'm assuming it's just long as studs coming off the head through the plenum flange. God and sau help me
  10. Depends on use I suppose, if its gonna be given hell then all the oil mods would be advised, the nitto pump flows 60ish lph from memory so that would empty out a stock sump quicker than a stock pump would, hence the need accompany it with the bigger sump and restrictor. Enlarged oil returns/external drain etc by that stage you've already got a decent amount apart and would be seem like a waste of time/labour/money to come back and install forged pistons and rods at a later date. If it's just a streeter then you should be able to get away with the stock motor and pump, wouldn't hurt to install the sump though. The less revs the better. Edit: nevermind, just saw now youre running a single. Regardless, if you want the motor to live, be sensible with the revs
  11. Just did this today, overheard someone saying that footy players do 5-6 laps running..respect. Would love to do this more often now that the weather is getting better, still wet in most parts today though.
  12. Apologies for the MAJOR thread revival, but I don't think anything else has been mentioned about these Racepace Hybrid turbos on this forum according to what my search results are showing. Was the EBC eventually installed to see if there was any difference? (especially after the boost curve of this setup crosses over with the -7 setup, if it were able to at least maintain 19psi like the -7, that would be interesting to see) Was there any further development into this setup?
  13. damn, oh well oh damn, was looking forward to seeing/hearing a tomei ti in person, oh well hope you can make it next time

  16. Revision class today, wait for teacher for an hour and still has not rocked up..fml
  17. Which cousin did you buy it off Moh?
  18. I've already asked Jesse about sending an engine over and he says his only container contact is in Brisbane so if you're in other states, domestic shipping costs would apply. The engine is only able to be shipped via container so there'll be no tracking, no insurance, cannot avoid import tax, will take A LONG time and will set you back 14k when the Racepace stage 1 build will cost 10k and produce a reliable 400kw.

clean white 33 gtr on rosanna road today, nice
  20. 255 is probably unnecessary on a 9" wide. I have 245/45/17 Dunlop z1 on my 33 gtr standard wheels (17x9 +30) The cross section width of z1 is 9.7" and 9.6" for RE11 and AD08, don't recall what it is for KU36. Oh and look at all the choices with 245/45/17!
  21. was going to install carbon wing blade on the 33 today, plug on the stock wing came loose, so currently equivalent to free spinning bolt...fml
  22. bought the car like that, bought another one that's not split, just sitting behind driver's seat
  23. Test fitting some new gear on what seems to be a gloomy, yet lovely afternoon:
  24. Well it was pushing 270rwkw on Racepace's dyno on 14psi with stock turbos. I found that to be quite high as well.. With regards to the bottom end, I'll see what Tony comes up with the N1 block, I suppose be easier just to do the bottom end once and for all. He was telling me around 12 months, due to new addition to the family. But if it's gonna be sooner than that, then props to him Indeed a great bloke, was very thorough about the car and was able to answer questions and provide documents where necessary.
  25. Thanks for the kind words mate
