  1. Thanks a lot for the reply, sid. Yes I can get more pictures we have meets like this all the time. When I can I will go up there and shoot some more.
  2. Same and thanks. But on another note you can use the Exposure and flash compensation that is built into most cameras. Look for that before you go and lose your DoF. Take that advise from me and Zennon and run, it will help you out with night shots a whole lot. Also, you might not notice Noise with your camera on ISO levels that are high but once you start doing post processing on them you will bring it all to life. ISO is a trained camera man/woman's last fall upon. You can adjust so much more... white levels, exposure, aperture, exposure comp, flash comp. The last thing you fall on is ISO in my book. =) Hope that helps Same. The camera can judge light variables very well during the day but aperture is DoF and is user based opinion per shot. So you should look at that, and again look on the stickies etc, there are some good tutorials.
  3. EV = Exposure Value and that is what you are talking about. TV even though here in the USA that stands for Television. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposure_value
  4. You need a little more exposure and post processing on that one. You didn't get anything but the highlights on the car. You're having trouble adjusting for brights to darks. Try and equal your shot out by the EV reading on the camera compare night and point it at the car and see what the white equals and adjust for the best of both which should be in the middle of both. Does that make sense to you? EDIT Looks like you shot in Auto mode as well, you need to shoot in M (manual) mode and mess around with your EV and Aperture. There are some nice guides here on the forums in this section. As well, you should never let your camera get to 1600 ISO unless it is something you just can not capture any other way. Get grain real bad at those levels.
  5. Yes get a CPL. It makes HUGE differences. When you stand close to the car though you can move the reflections around with it. Only when an object is farther away can you remove huge amounts of reflections.
  6. Amazing colors Sam. Nice one with the Graffiti.
  7. No mate, this is in Tennessee USA. =)
  8. This is from the chain of storms that has killed a ton of people already and caused a ton of damage and injury. Took them when it passed through my area. Pretty scary shit, producing tornadoes. In the USA. The thing you see dropping down right before the lightning on the left is a cloud that was in rotation. It was gusting probably 20-35 by this time and the camera had gotten a strange amount of noise. Needless to say, this was the LAST picture of the night before I MOVED. Enjoy =)
  9. Very interesting point of view. I think I like it.... good shot.
  10. More on Bikes
  11. Just a new shot from me for today...
  12. Love how the most redneck things in the world have USA posted all down the side of em.
  13. You do realize that is a POINT and not a COMMA correct? Just making sure... lol I just want to make entirely sure...
  14. That's the actual amount mate, I looked it up on XE. That way I knew what you would have to pay EXACTLY. That's it. =) Not as if you have money that works at .0893 but still.
  15. Yes, you can ACTUALLY see what it WAS like to be ON the Titanic... http://www.titanicpigeonforge.com/ Something else amazing is... if you DO come here to see that, ever. Your tickets would cost you 22.0893 AUD per adult. Which is AMAZING.
  16. Okay. Actual full size replica of the Titanic. 25 million dollar building in my home town area. =) I visited it and the Liverpool Legends were there (Endorsed by Louise Harrison - George Harrison's sister) which is the best cover band for The Beatles. So here are some (very few) pictures that I have from that. I will be putting more up when I get a chance. And if you want terrible lighting, go to a concert of some sort... lol What's cool is that they have ACTUAL stuff from the Titanic, and people come about who were relatives from the actual crew etc. They also have a 100% authentic 1 million $ replica of the staircase from the Titanic. Talk about an amazing place, this thing is neat as hell. Thought you guys would love it, too bad it didn't make it for real =(
  17. =) Thanks a lot. I just went to a nice place too. I will get the pictures up here soon.
  18. So, was out on the lake driving the boat around so I got these... So this picture turned out good with zer0 lighting as well so I throw it on there...
  19. Here is one from yesterday. I have some more but I am about to go to work.
  20. Thank you, thank you. I need to actually look through the pictures. I am sure I framed one up a little better than that. I just pulled a couple photos. I will definitely take all of this into account. I will try again with some other things and see what all is happening. =)
  21. Meh maybe focus more in to the car, but I think he means over all size, make them smaller. I am just on a 50" TV for a monitor, so that's why it is hard to tell what small really is. I will work on that. They could actually set the forum to resize the pictures for the user as well a little more than they do now, it is in the ACP. Either way, I will make them smaller next time. Sorry about that.
  22. This is just a couple of mine and a RHD local Civic. It was a pretty day so I shot the cars at this warehouse place. What do you think?
  23. I also use NX Viewer.
  24. Had NO clue my engine was that dirty then I popped the hood to try this shot and wow is all I can say, I need to do some spring cleaning for real. Some of the stuff in the park today...
  25. Lol, glad you like it. =) There are so many nice Muscle cars. Man, I love me some imports but you have to respect that old straight engine POWER.
