27,500 Is too much. If you where to put it on the market again right after purchasing I think you would be hard pressed to get 25,000 for it. Sounds quite expensive and I agree with the above posts. Be careful who you deal with I havent heard the greatest things about them

I have looked at all of the auctions that USS, Tokyo, Nagoya Chiba etc... I also know the car you are talking about which is at Global Auto. It's nice but I wouldn't want to spend that much on a 32. Like I said I will go upto 1,300,000.. I think thats more than enough but it is not easy to find them at that price lead alone good ones

Well If anyone finds anything worth a look let me know. As I have been looking at USS for some time now, with not many good ones passing through and the ones I have tried have gone for really high. I have increased my budget a bit and hope to find something in great nic. Are there any recommended dealers or other good places to look. I have asked Iron Chef to look at dealers but I think he only does auctions. Time will tell I guess...

Good luck with the sale but I agree I think the price is too high. 34 GTR's are begining to reach that price. Not my intention to critisize just some food for thought. Hope you get what you want.

As title states guys. I have been looking for a GTR in Japan for some time now and have not had much luck, so I thought I would try local. I am looking for an R32 GTR VSPEC or VSPEC II preffered but not essential (I would rather have a clean non VSPEC than an average VSPEC for the same price) As close to standard as possible. No mods like turbos etc.. Car must be in great condition, ruler straight panels, great paint and great running gear. I am interested in all original colours except for silver and white. I will pay good money for a good car. Please let me know If you have anything of interest. Ross

I would rather just buy a clean one for that little bit extra. Knowing it has been treated well over its life time.

Yer there is definitely no doubt about them becoming quite rare. I have a broker that I am using (Iron Chef imports) they send me cars regularly but all from auction and around 9/10 the cars that go through auction are either grade 3 or R. I guess your right about the good ones being picked up and the left overs going to auction in that case then. Reason for the thread is that I have located a local car which is fairly clean and am thinking about purchasing it or just continuing to look. In reply to the other post looking at the auctions it seams that above average non rusty GTR's are going for around 600,000JPY-700,000JPY. I am willing to pay around 1,200,000-1,300,000 Maximum which I think is very reasonable. I have started to consider the R33 models also, being alot less faults and being around a similar price although I have similar troubles to the R32 in locating a clean one. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hey guys been looking at importing a clean R32 GTR for quite some time now.. Rust, Bent rails, "minor accident repairs", ridiculous prices for not so clean models... Story of my life. Is it just me or are these cars getting harder to source? I am willing to pay good money for one but I mean some prices are just ridiculous.. I have imported in the past (few years ago) but it seams to me they are getting harder and harder to come across and if you want a good one be prepaired to pay an unrealistic amount. Let me know what you all think.. Ideally I am after a clean VSPEC/VSPEC II model but will settle for clean standard example. Any help or reccomended places would be appreciated. Not looking for rocket ships, just want a clean stocker.
