nice. 4/98 is the newest i have seen I have seen quite alot more then 5 or 6 midnight purple ones in Oz though i rekon there would be more in the double figure range maybe 30-40.

Hey guys, got a but of a problem just ran my vin number through the nissan fast program which came back showing it was manufactured on the 3rd month of 1998. I then went to my car and had a look at the compliance sticker and its stated on that the cars date of manufacture is the first month of 1998... I am a bit lost on why this could be.. Can anyone shed some light on my little problem?? Thanks

just wanted to know still haha reason i asked is because i got my Vin number fasted and it shows that the month/year is 03/98 although on my pink sticker it states 01/98 so :S

nope no pods, mine has different to normal Series 2s the following -rear strut brace -optioned GT-R spoiler -optioned Nismo front bar -40th anniversary seats -midnight purple colour which only came on the 40th anniversary models -it was also built in january 98 which qualifies it to be a 40th anniversary Thats it as far as i know the badging is just wierd :S...

oh no thanks i actually prefer it with no badges, looks smoother but im taking it your 40th anniversary edition didnt have badging either?

Ah i see reason i ask is because i have a 1/1998 GTS-T with the 40th anniversary trim, GTR wing, strut bar and the nismo optioned front bar in the 98 midnight purple. Although i dont have the badging on the exterior. I dont understand why someone would remove it awell i guess.

hi all. Just having a look at a few 40th anniversary GTS-T's obviously 1998 models. All of them have the updated trim, rear strut bar and some other 40th anniversary edition features. Although i have noticed some of them do not have the badging on the pillar stating its the limited edition model. Just wandering if anyone knows why this is? I believe its not debadging Thanks

how much are we looking at price wise for fronts and rears and also installation??

hi guys im having a bit of trouble with my current brakes thinking about an early upgrade for the GTS-T. Not really sure what to go for hoping you guys can help us out. I know there are alot of other factors that i need to take into account like wheel clearence for the brakes etc. Main things im looking for are: -Cost of brakes -Cost of fittment -Best suitible brakes for a gts-t Thanks in advance guys!

haha yer thats true trying to avoid taking it back till i know i need to haha. It could just be i coincidemtally need a new battery i guess. Just hoping someone might have a solution..

hey man looks like your in the same sort of predicament as i was. Say u have roughly 15k that will get u a very nice 33 gts-t although ur right with the emergency money. I had thos car checked by the pros and went over it very THOROUGHLY by nyself also. There are always things sellers are going to hide and not fork out any money for over looking all the parts i needed a major service done. Theres already 1k new pads cost me 200 through nissan and ur going to be looking at alot of other small hicups that will arise so its kind of hard to put an estimate on them. Imho if i was to buy a gts-t now i would have at LEAST 4k aside including insurance money. This being said imports require some extra tlc compared to ur toyota yarris haha. Hope i have helped

hi guys i got the major 100k service done on my car just a few weeks ago at 90k just to play it safe. Got the car back now and it feels like its not starting as easy as it was before the service i have to crank it that little bit more just wamdering if anyone knows what it could be. Got it serviced by a very reputable workshop so im hoping its normal after a sevice Thanks in advance guys

Hi guys i have had my brakes squeeking for quite a while now. Thinking it was the pads i had them changed and the rotors machined later realising that it wasent haha. I have been told that my car is missing the factory backing plate for the brake pads from a mechanic. Havent really got a clue to what a backing plate is, actually first time i heard of it was today. Just wandering how much do these roughly go for? Does it do any damage to be driving without backing plates? Thanks alot. Al

many things could be causing this -O2 Sensor -Coolant Sensor -Fuel Mixture -Driving Style -Injectors -Filters Could also be getting a wrong reeding on the cluster itself. I would take it to a workshop as if you end up checking all of these you will end up wasting alot of time and money when it could only be one thing hope i helped

Hey all! Just wondering with all the water restrictions and all since the car wash's scratch our cars, we're not allowed to bucket wash at home or at the car wash and getting it detailed every week or so can get really expensive???? I guess i will tee it off. I use my water tank -Presoak the car -Then i use the bucket and sponge and wipe clean it with meguiars gold class -Then rinse the car off with the high pressure -Then shimmy the car down Waxing is another story haha!

Hi guys just a quick one i have some warn pads on my car and the other day i got the rotors machined and as i am waiting for my new pads to come from japan which will take about 2 weeks i continued using the the old pads till the other ones come in Does this meen i will need to machine them again before putting the new ones on or? thanks in advance!

LOL not sold yet ... In actual fact the market is real shit my mate picked up a 33 VSPEC with 98 on the clock on road for 19k its incredible how much these cars are dropping, none the less good luck with the sale

i have machined the rotors! so i don't think its either of the rotors or the pads.. ?
