  1. Given that I am willing to spend almost double the amount of that one, I think I will more then likely be able to find one. That one is still advertised because it has been in an accident, passenger side rear quarter has visible repairs. Already inspected. I didnt say I wanted one with perfect interior or low kms. I am just after a straight one with no rust. I dont mind buying one with 200,000kms. Whoever thinks 30k isnt doable, thats fine just dont post in the thread.
  2. I think you have no idea what you're talking about to be honest. I didnt say i was after a restored one. I dont mind if it needs paint or has high kms. As long as the car has no accident and no rust, I am happy to pay.
  3. Carizma, done my car and a few friends. Many years of experience and contacts. They were in VIC which meant i could see them face to face
  4. Hi guys,as topic states I'm after a mint R32 GTR -Must be in VIC -Must have original engine -Must have no accident history -No rust whatsoever -Nothing overly modified (prefer as close to standard as possible) -Would prefer original paint, even if it's not pristine. -Not a restored example Don't waste my time if your car isnt all of the above. Will spend up to 30k for the right car. PM me
  5. I didnt even know you could boost to 13PSI.
  6. So it's impossible to damage the ECU then by shooting the battery. Given that it will take the shortest path to the earth which is through the ratchet. Won't go anywhere near the ECU
  7. Ye in a Skyline, aren't those things protected by fuses?
  8. Well it shorted through my ratchet, so it should be fine, only thing would be the ECU that would be damaged if left on long enough and I would have known by now if it was wrecked. Are there any other components besides the ECU that can be damaged?
  9. Definatly shorted through the ratchet, it melted abit lol
  10. No good, well just checking really. Thanks for all your help.
  11. Not if one of the sensors was gone I'm pretty sure?
  12. Ah I see, Nah I heard you could fry the ECU from shorting it as long as the battery was in the car. Wasn't aware of the reverse polarity but that makes sense.
  13. I have heard that you can fry odour ECU and sensors by doing this though? My ECU is fine given that the car starts. Sensors going into the ECU though, how would you even know? Would it generate the engine light to come on.?
  14. Could it damage the ECUand/or the sensors going into it? Or would the ignition need to be on to cause damage?
  15. I recently had to charge my flat battery ( not using car very much at the moment) and when I attached the neg lead back to the battery (with pos obviously already connected) I accidently (and clumsily) touched the ratchet used to tighten the nut between the neg and pos terminals of the battery resulting in big spark and me jumping quite high. The car has been used since then and everything seems normal, but my question is could there have been damage to the electrics and/or the battery? Many thanks.

  17. The battery is sealed, so I'm good with that respect.
  18. That definitely doesn't sound right, there would be major problems if fuel went stale after a 2 weeks. It would have to be much longer than that surely
  19. Hey guys, I'm currently not daily driving my car, it sits in the garage trickle charging and I probably drive it once a fortnight and when winter comes it will probably be less. My question is will I have problems with the fuel going stale? I filled up about 3 weeks ago and still have the same tank. How long before you start to have issues?
  20. Hey guys, As topic states I need some help with my battery. I have purchased a CTEK charger and want to begin trickle charging the battery whilst it's in the car. I have been told not to connect the negative connection to the battery. Is this right? Do I need to connect it to the chassis or is having both the positive and the negative on the battery fine? Thanks
  21. Thanks Terry. Your advice is always good.
  22. How do you know if it's dry? Can I touch it to see? Or will moisture from my finger cause issues Lol?
