roughly how big is a 20 row oil cooler? What are the dimensions in cm? + 1 for pics

I'm definatly aiming for digital gauges this time around, after pumping the sump into the cabin of a previous car via a deteriorated gauge hose, I'd rather risk electrical failure. I'm also definatly using seperate sensors to the factory ones. They wouldn't be a very good backup system if they are running off the same pickups they're supposed to be backing up lol.

bubba you've done exactly what I'm aiming to do in my car with the car pc. Are you running a power fc? I'm looking at running that into the car pc and a mate of mine is writing a graphics program to take the readings from the pfc tunning software and displaying it as a gauge. Damn... I thought it was an original idea to. Back on topic though, since most of this build is trial and error I wanted to know which readings I should have separate gauges for as a back up (and it's a bit of a tribute to my 33). Anyway, I'm thinking Boost, oil psi & oil temp. Swapping out boost for water temp if I can find a good place to mount a boost gauge by itself. Does that sound right?

Spotted this arvo in Raymond terrace a maroon r33 with an unusually large gtr replica wing on it, looks a lot better than it reads in writing. It was under the bypass on mount hall rd.

Alright guys, I've got a spare din space in my dash so i thought i may as well plonk some gauges in there for a quick reference to what the engine is doing. So my question is; what is the three most important readings should I put gauges in for excluding boost?

How long ago was that mate? I want to mount a boost guage on my pillar and i thought as long as it is low enough it's sweet? Can you get an engineering cert. for something like that?

Yeah I was thinking that might be they way to go in the end. Unfortunately my electronics skills are a bit poor to hack up a $500 + screen. Actually mate I have seen the enclosures for sale on the yahoo japan auctions. If you check out http://www.slidewizeimports.com/ and search for r34 interior trim there'll usually be some enclosures for sale. Getting anything in 7inch is no problem at all but I need something smaller than that. I really need something that the overall height is around the 9 cm mark.

Hey has anyone had any experience making a normal screen into a touch screen for a car PC? I've seen 7 inch overlays for sale on sites like mp3car.com but the problem I'm having is size. I want to mount the screen on the dash basically in the same spot the r34 GTR has it's screen but I want to keep the overall height of the unit as close to the height of the speedo cluster as possibe because I've been told that aftermarket gauges or anything else like that are okay as long as they aren't mounted any higher than the top of the speedo cluster. So that gives me about 9 - 9.5 cm max heaight for a screem. I've found a screen that is the right size but isn't a touch screen so I was hopeing to get it converted into one somehow. Another option I looked at was buying a 7 inch touch screen unit and hacking it up and making my own enclosure for it because the screen by itself is the right size but when you take the size of the plastic cases they come in they end up being to tall. Any ideas guys?

Ok guys here is the bonnet that's for sale from my old R33 GTR. As you can see from the photo's there are scratches to the painton the front left corner of the bonnet but other than that it's in good condition. I'd really like $500.00 for it but I want the garage space more so make an offer, near enough is good enough lol. The bonnet is in Newcastle, N.S.W. Cheers mate, apart from two guys i work with that own skylines i'm still to come across anyone that knows/cares since i've owned the car so i havn't surprised anyone lol. As for your questions, My car came with the n/a rb25 neo 6. I couldn't find any turbo'd gt-4s I heard somewhere that nissan stoped offering turbo rb25 gt4s after the r32 to seperate it more from the gtr. Can't confirm that tho, i'm not really into becoming an expert on the history of nissan. I can't comment on the sedan as I wasn't in the market for one and i don't want to give you false info but what i can do is give you the web address of the importer i got my car through and they'll be able to tell you for sure if you can import them. I'm not sure about the rules of plugging buisness on here so I'll PM it to you.

You can definatly import R34 GT-4 Coupes, my avatar picture thingy is mine. I bought it purely to bring my gtr back to life as the 4wd running gear is 99% identical. In fact the only difference i noticed is that the shaft from the gearbox to the front diff was like half an inch smaller in diameter. The rb26 fitted no probs as well.

What's the look you're after? if you just want the gtr badge with the ring around it, the face plates should be a straight swap. Someone correct me if they've seen otherwise.
