you get what you pay for!!!! I wired and fitted an M48 in a turbo capri, worked out cheaper than an OEM ECU....
  2. cost me 1487 with torque insurance.... with 60% NCB... just spent 380 on tyres TODAY, and that was for front only.....

one word, motec...... why do you think they use them in the v8 touring cars?? cause there the best... motec have a home page that tells you where all there agents are, just dont have the address, shouldnt be hard to find...
  4. cut wire 53
  5. i did mine once, filled up the gaps around the spark plugs, bad miss, had to take the cover off, all the coils and get the water out of there, but it gave me a reason to change the plugs.....
  6. turbo, engine is tidy, but as i said, stock.... if you want some interior pics i can get them tomorrow, but its stock as well.... best i can do for engine http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...s=&postid=67838
  7. red in color, Auto, just clicked over 70k's, 3 inch polished stainless cat back, other than that completly stock. registered till may.. Has self arming immobilizer and alarm fitted 17,000 ono, Sydney...
  8. check this out.......... http://www.roadsense.com.au/
  9. Remember i said lower at light or no throttle.... 60 ks @1600 is probably about right, but what happens when you touch the throttle, slight incline, wind resistance, passing a car, it drops back to 3rd, right??? And you would probably find that at 60 k's, with overdrive on, its changing up and down ALL the time, not good for transmission, and probably harder on your brakes to.
  10. Thats it... Shift point from 3rd to 4th should be 141-151k's full throttle (both power and economy mode) Around 98-106 half throttle ecomomy mode and 113-121 half throttle power mode.. Obviously no or light throttle the shift speeds will drop somewhat... These specs are for an r31 but its still the RE4R01A transmission, same as used in the nissan patrols... May be some slight difference from r31 to r33, but thats controlled by the ECU....
  11. well then, id say you have problems............. speedo read ok?
  12. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!!! Having overdrive turned on or off will make no difference to shift points, fuel economy or power BELOW 80 kmh. If you are driving in an 80 k limit, or below, leave it off, as on and around 80 k it will be cutting in and out and will premarturely wear out clutch packs in a transmission. My O/D is always off, unless im travelling at 90 k or more.... The power buttong is the one thats will change shifts points, and the only thing that changes ratios is the torque converter because it actually can give you a 2:1 ratio in torque multiplication.....
  13. whats the point, i emailed and got no reply....
  14. actually, it doesnt add fuel, it adds oxygen. The nitrous part is for cooling....
  15. i got a turbo r33 auto..
  16. Im out penrith, but work in blacktown and travel luxford everyday...... full stock red r33, except for a HUGE polished stainless 3 inch cat back exhaust....
  17. nope, you would need a distributor..............
  18. The real reason behind NOT taking pictures from the front of the vehicles was privacy laws. Wouldnt be great disputing a fine, having the picture sent out to you and your wife standing beside you when you opened the letter with the pic showing your girlfriend in the passenger seat. It was brought about by the privacy act.....
  19. One in the cat is a EGT sensor.... (temp).... with all your symptoms, the first thing id be checking is valve timing, maybe your belt tensioner is knackered, and the timing is slipping...jumping teeth.... Are the RB engines free running, anyone know???
  20. you can buy the rom editor hardware from jaycar and dick smith
  21. because its a ratio, 1st gear would inflate in more.......... and you also have differential ratios so it jump again...
  22. There is a diagnostic check that checks out your climate control, vent operation, temp sensors and so on. I have it here in PDF format, if you need it drop me a PM and ill email it to you...
  23. Adjusting the ignition timing by moving the crank angle sensor will also move injection timing, which is BTW important its set right in sequentially injected engines....
