  1. Does anyone know if the interior lights have a timer of some sort, and where it is? The reason i ask is that mine dont work from the door switches. Light turns on manually via switch, and i know the door switches are ok as the alarm works, but i cant get the light to work via the doors. Thanks
  2. May be a blocked exhaust, that cat material can melt and block exhaust up. 4 bolts to remove to do a quick check.
  3. Do you dyno tune or road tune? Where abouts in Sydney are you and what is the rate for a tune, car has nistune and i have the software and cable.
  4. I brought my cable up through the gear lever boot, plugs inside car and it saves running to much of the cable outside and is worth the effort of lifting boot. Just straighten out the lip on the steel plate that holds the boot into place.
  5. Air leak it wouldn't idle fine, problem occurs on boost. Id be inclined to verify pressure reg type as bubba said.
  6. One further thing that should be noted, the bushes in these are sintered bronze bushes, meaning they are porous. They are soaked with oil before fitting as this is the only lube they get. In the link showing the picture below, it shows quite a lot of clutch dust stuck to the housing. This dust can get into the bush and soak the oil up. Its usually worse if the driver continually slips the clutch, either by riding it or slipping it a lot during take off. picture
  7. I had a Tech edge sensor mounted in the stock ones position, it lasted about 12 months but did die. Wide band sensors cannot handle the same heat that the narrow band ones can. New one got mounted just before the cat in the front pipe. Current ones been going for about 2 years, no problems.

  9. I Had a 32, with nistune, and it did have both knock maps (what you all call R & R maps)for fuel and timing. These maps are accessed relative to signals from the knock sensor, not air flow meter.
  10. Tangles, how does a gt3076 compare to a GCG highflowed rb25 turbo (pre neo)? I just transfered mine from my rb20 (written off) to my new s2 Stagea manual with nistune, a gizzmo EBC and im loving it. Almost 1 bar, pulled fuel out and added some timing and its screaming. Intercooler and injectors are next but im curious as to the difference between the 2 turbos.
  11. It is the electric closer making the noise, not central locking. The electric closer makes the noise every time ANY door is closed. At the alarm fitters now, i believe he is fitting a diode. Thanks
  12. HI guys, a few days after i picked up my first Stagea i had an alarm fitted. Now everytime i close any doors (front, rear or tailgate) the electric closer on the tailgate runs. I would be assuming this is not normal and is caused by feedback through the interia lights switches on the doors. Can anyone verify this. Thanks.

  14. Not sure about the stageas, but i know the 300zx has a neutral wire to the ecu that causes the ECU to limit RPM when car is in neutral, to stop engine being overly free revved. Might be worth checking out.
  15. When matt sends you the board it will have the same tune on it that the your computer has on it. You can get it tuned at your convenience.

  19. hi flow turbo and WB o2 sensor is in, max tp limit so no more fuel cut, pulled some fuel out, added a few degrees of timing and now its standing up when floored. Damn AFM is maxing out now though, will put my z32 one on tomorrow. Also noticed when i took the standard turbo off that the impellor is all chipped, explains the noise when it was on full boost, (i was chasing a boost leak, it sounded like air squeeling). Looks like it wont be going back on the r32.
  20. Fitted my Nistune ecu today, started right up. Going try to get my GCG hi flow on tomorrow, Tech edge wide band and then time to play.
  21. Friday, i fitted new clarion HU and Gizzmo EBC, removed split dumps, front pipe, hi flow cat and GCG turbo off my written off r32. Yesterday i fitted split dumps and hi flow to me new stag. Have my Nistune board here, just waiting for another ECU i bought from perth to arrive, then ill fit my nistune, hi flow GCG, z32 AFM (off the r32) silicon intake pipe and tech edge wide band O2 sensor. Then i need to sell my r32 (repairable write off, has nistune, injectors, coils and so on already fitted) to fund intercooler, injectors and coils for the stag. Looking good...

  23. New to the Stagea, not nissans though. I picked my stagea up on thursday. It had the GTR seats in it, had to put the seats in it from my r32 GTST i've just written off as the wife couldnt see over the steering wheel. i think i prefer the GTST seats myself. My walbro fuel pump is in the mail, as is my nistune (3rd one for me, r32, 300zx and now the Stagea) and an EBC.

  25. The "8" (third last digit) in the model number signifies the GTR V spec II. Is there a possibility that it could be the build number off the production line? there was only 1303 produced.
