  1. My last dyno graph shows 1012.4 FtLb so I'm out for the PST shaft. If you go Torqline let me know.....
  2. Is this still happening ?? What would the turnaround time be on some R32 doors ??
  3. I think you'll find also that the Q7 has about 250nm more to play with also... Most Cayennes I looked at before settling on the R50 had only 500nm (approx). You need more than 500nm to tow 3t effectively IMO Fatz, doesn't the Q7 have about 750nm ?? (I looked at them also, but I don't care for soccer mums as I'm happily married)
  4. SOLD guys - thanks!
  5. My point is when it comes to towing my GTR around I'm more worried about the cost to run it for the event than the fuel to get there. Anyone that knows my GTR will know it's cost way too much over the years! It typically goes from home to the event to the mechanic!! And yes, I suppose if I had to travel from Perth to QLD, regularly, then fuel consumption could be an issue. Anywhere up and down the East Coast is never more than around 1000kms, which at even 5L/100kms worse than other tow cars, several times a year, is nothing more than about $150 extra for the trip. Add that $150 to the $5000 or so the trip is probably costing you with accom/entrance fees/tyres/etc etc and it's not really that much of an increase in the budget.
  6. Here's my merry go round, don't see any hamsters......
  7. I can vouch for the R50 being a great tow car, only downside is that I don't get to tow that often anymore.... It's also a fairly decent daily too, as 4WDs go. And for all those fuel economists out there....who gives a shit if it uses 11-16L/100kms, I only wish fuel was my biggest expense when it comes to towing/racing cars!!
  8. Roy, Two of these way outperformed two x -10's on my RB (which are similar in spec to GTRS) If GTRS is the turbo of choice for your Sierra then I'd have to say the 6258 would be better again. John
  9. Pics of it unpacked.... As you can see BRAND NEW!!!!
  10. I have 1 x BIB EFR6258 for sale in the For Sale Section if anyone is interested. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/387782-efr-6258-turbo/ Long story short I ended up with 3 when obviously I only need 2. It's the latest generation so should be the goods!
  11. Hi, I have 1 brand new EFR6258 Turbo for sale. It's the latest generation, post production issues, so should be perfect for anyone wanting one without the wait, freight, taxes, duties etc etc. See below link for more details if need be.... http://www.full-race...6258-turbo.html Save yourself some time and money and purchase this one.. Looking for $1400. cheers.
  12. That's a heap of lift for a small cam, that's gotta help some. I'll sit tight then!!
  13. Paul, I read somewhere you were going to put smaller cams in it, is that still the plan ?? Interested in seeing the results....
  14. My timing was created from yet another disappointment and yet another soon to be issued Invoice from my mechanic. The additional turbos, whilst a nice gesture, (as I have said previously) doesn't help with the hole in my pocket. Last week we fitted up the new 2012 turbos only to have issues on the dyno (as stated in an earlier post). When we found the problem, we then serviced the head, replaced retainers, valve springs, stem guides, etc etc we then ran the car on the dyno again only to find the new turbos were way more laggy than expected. They were reported to be between the 62s and 67s but that was clearly not the case as they didn't make power until 5700rpm. Disappointed again YES, more bills to come as a result YES. It's like a snowball rolling downhill out of control...... I even ceramic coated these ones as I thought they'd be staying on!! Yes, you said you would make it right on the manifolds, as to on the GCG Invoice, but that was 4months ago so forgive me for thinking it was never going to eventuate. I mean really, how long does it take to process a credit or send a replacement turbo to GCG so they could in turn credit me ?? Anyway, it was never my intention to get into a slanging match, but merely present the facts. Am I going to put the new 6258s on - YES, I've come this far so I may as well keep going Left out of the circle, definately, but how am I to know if you don't tell me. I've never received an email or any type of correspondence from you personally, a couple from Geoff, that's all........
  15. Dyno sheets were posted earlier in this thread, they clearly show the gains my car made with the EFR 6258s The dyno they are on is particularly low reading so don't concern yourself with the figures just look at the differences in the curve. As stated elsewhere my car has made over 450kw on two different dynos with it's old setup so the 6258s would make above that figure given the comparison on the dyno used for the EFR tune. No, I didn't like the previous setup, hence the desire to change. I was running -10's that didn't make power until above 5000rpm. Would I do it all again No, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  16. Brett, It's your call what you do, clearly........ If your conscience is ok with walking away from my situation knowing full well I've been shafted (pardon the pun) then so be it. I'm sure all your potential customers would be happy to read your comments above. So sorry to have complained, but after 4 months of near nothing I'm pretty sure most people in my position would be upset, and rightfully so. I'm not going to apologise for posting this stuff, it's the truth, it happened, you know it happened, and you also know, as do BW, that the both of you sold a product that was faulty. In my business, when we sell a product that is faulty we do everything we can to rectify the situation with the customer first, then deal with the supplier later until we as a company are satisfied with the outcome. That was clearly not the case in this instance. As I said, your call what you do, but ask yourself this, if you were me what would you have expected or done after 4 months and $20k ??
  17. I'd be pretty interested in reading that page you talk about..... Nothing has been recitified for me other than you sending me more turbos. I'm still out of pocket for the manifolds that didn't fit, for the power steering pump I had to buy, for every time I've had to remove and refit failed turbos. Still out of pocket for the GCG Invoice/Turbo you guys instructed me to buy so I could make it to WTAC and fly the BW/FR flag for you!! GCG.pdf I've had 7 EFR turbos on my car now, that doesn't happen overnight by the elves. Only last week I had the head off because we lost compression on the dyno when tuning the new u-beaut replacement turbos you supplied. Surprise surprise it was a bit of a previous exhaust wheel jamming the valve open in cylinder 6, my mechanic reckons I was moments away from dropping the valve as the retainer was flogged out and the shim had been dislodged. Who would've paid for the rebuild if indeed I did drop a valve as a result of a previously blown turbo...?? I reckon it would've been ME..!! 4 months of not having a car to play with, 4 months of very little correspondence from BW/FR, 4 months ago I hoped you would do the right thing and look after me. 4 months and 4 blown turbos later I now know I'm on my own - thanks for personally rectifying things for me, most appreciated! Thanks for sending me 4 more too, atleast now I can take off the super dooper 2012 spec ones and put back on the 6258's, that'll make it turbo numbers 8 & 9!! Anyone want to buy some 2012 u-beaut super dooper super secret turbos ?? I could do with some cash right now.....
  18. Don't get too excited, it could end up like this yet....... or this..... possibly even this..... or maybe even scatter some bits over your workshop floor whilst on the dyno..... Yep, many failures, 4 so far in fact!! Let's hope you don't end up getting bills like this.....(extract from my mechanic's invoice) and this is after the initial install some days earlier. 3/08/2011. Fit new turbo. Replace turbo actuators. Drain & replace fuel with CSR E85. Refit to dyno. Start tune at wastegate pressure with new actuators. Increase boost in increments to 25psi. Turbo failed. Remove car from dyno. Replace turbo. Fit on dyno & start tuning @ 18 psi. Turbo failed @ 18 PSI. (if you're wondering how I was able to replace turbos straight away, well FR actually sent me 2 extras "just in case") I should've known something was going to go horribly wrong at that stage!! Stupid Me for believing them when they said they've only had a couple of failures to date....... 5/08/2011. Purchase another Turbo from GCG under instruction from BW/FR as 3 of the first 4 sent had failed. Still waiting to be reimbursed for this turbo........ Remove & replace failed turbo. Refit to dyno. Retune to 24 PSI. Refit bonnet & front bar. This 5th Turbo lasted approx 8 laps. Fast forward to November and I have just received my new Turbos from BW/FR, some u-beaut super dooper super secret 2012 models that will just blow away everyone. mmmmm Well if you call 24psi at 5700rpm super dooper ofcourse. Bloody hell, looks like another set of EFR turbos are coming off, my car's a circuit car, not a drag car!! If you want my two bobs worth, think long and hard about putting these on. My costs (I'm embarrassed to say) have blown to over $20k for putting EFR twins on. BW/FR have done almost zero as a result too, communication has been poor at best and after sales service just shithouse. Apparently BW's only responsibility is to replace the blown turbos under warranty. How do blown turbos get taken off and replaced, only to fail again, taken off/replaced again, fail again, taken off/replaced again, fail again, taken off/replaced again, for free..?? I've spent almost as much replacing blown turbos as what they were worth to purchase!! Hardly fair. If they were based in Australia you'd be knocking on their door with a large baseball bat I reckon! So there you have it, and that's only 1/4 of the story..............(let's not even start on the fact the the manifolds FR supplied didn't fit and needed to be chopped up and modified, at my expense) This whole EFR BW/FR experience has been by far the worst of my car's life, and a decision I regret everyday. Don't do it, nothing is worth the pain or expense.....
  19. OK, you guys are killing me!! How about $550 then...??? Any takers, these are a great addition to anyone serious about getting the most out of their RB!!
  20. Not SOLD anymore, seems as though my buyer has done a runner.........(changed his mind) These are as new, save yourself some serious coin !!
