  1. Hi Ollie, I've recently ran a 285/30/18 on a 18x10+20 with no issues whatsoever. The offset is the key I think. My car is not overly low though so it's no real issue with the guards rubbing as it may be with a very low car. JB
  2. It's been almost 18months since I had -5's on this setup, but yes I'd say it is, it's definately not worse.
  3. I've had both -5's and -10's on this setup, gotta say these respond better than -5's and make shitloads more power everywhere over either -5's or -10's. These 6258's are the twins to have without question. It took me a couple of sessions to get my head around how well they performed on the track. I was getting on the gas way too early (legacy of having -10's) and pushing the car offline and into either under/oversteer. After a few more track days I'm sure I'll certainly be knocking seconds of my times......
  4. Guys, Hollinger - correct! 4th gear in a 6sp Hollinger is not 1:1 and my diffs are 3.69 (Tomei special order). Not ideal gearing for Eastern Creek but good allround considering I travel to Bathurst every year and also do some Tarmac/Hill Climb stuff. Having a 6sp helps with 1st and 2nd gear work, having 3.69 gears helps with Conrod Straight! Cams are Camtech 270s 10.8mm lift. Head work - yes. Plenum is a Hypertune Multi Throttle, Intercooler is a Plazmaman 100mm job. Everything else Rich says is correct. (most of the time anyway.....) Also, anyone interested in Tomei Expreme Manis and Dumps, or -10's or even a Greddy Hard Pipe kit can PM me as these will definately be sold now that the EFR's are on. cheers, John.
  5. I've gone back to my old Whiteline bars. I miss the ability to change settings to suit tracks/conditions. My car is 100% circuit so the adjustability was more important that I originally thought when I changed over to these bars.
  6. I believe so, if you look on the label pic GTS-4 is named. Thanks.
  7. Hi, I'm in Wetherill Park Sydney NSW.
  8. Hi, I have 3 x R32 GTR wheels for sale, great to have a spare! 16" x 8" +30 I bought 4 as I wanted a spare wheel for my trailer, happy to sell in singles @$150each pick up. Not in perfect condition but good enough to get you out of trouble if needed. First in best dressed for pick of the bunch. cheers.
  9. Hi, I have both Front & Rear Cusco Sway Bars for sale. Purchased this year and only used twice so effectively brand new. Landed @ $700 approx. Looking for $500 or near offer. Thanks.
  10. Hi, I have 4 x genuine Work Wheels 11r in GTRC 18x9.5" +20 They are less than 18months old and in excellent condition. Never been on road, track only (probably less than 1500ks) so have NO gutter rash. Top quality wheel and perfect fit for R32 GTR! Silver face semi polished with black inner (great for hiding brake dust, track rubber etc.) Any inspection welcome. Cost $2680 for the 4. Upgrading to wider wheel so need to move these on. Looking for around $1500 pick up. NO tyres included. Thanks.
  11. My missus drives a VW Toureg V6 TDi, fantastic car. Does everything you'd want, not too big, certainly nimble (actually quite pokey) and gets almost 1000kms to the tank! I liked it so much I sold my Audi RS4 and bought the R50 V10. Absolute beast and better allround car than the Audi, it goes solo like a sports car (almost) and tows like no other!! 2 votes for VW in my household......
  12. Hi, Less than 5000ks, did you buy them new or have they been reconditioned ? cheers, JB
  13. I'm with The Baron on this one, why get rid of Oran Park ..?? it was only 15mins drive for me and a bloody good layout. OK the surface needed redoing, but such great variety in the one lap. The bloody housing estate could've been moved further inland to accomodate the track, shit they bought how many 100's of acres out there...... Eastern Creek is a great track, but a quick lap at Oran Park was way more satisfying as there's plenty of little sections within the lap to get it right!
  14. To be honest, didn't notice any real difference on E85. Mind you I was running on '08 H1 Dunlops that didn't really let me get any power down and give it a good blast. I'm going to the Twilight meet next week at EC and will be running some better tyres for that so I'll hopefully notice the difference then. 39's is the goal, did 41 at Superlap on 98 (mind you engine only lasted 2 laps!) I'm running ID2000's injectors with 3 pumps so fuel supply doesn't seem to be an issue. the biggest difference is how many more jerry cans I now have to carry!! Gotta love the 'stupid' car bit! I'm about to build a shed on my property to house all my GTR gear (and possible Tarmac car soon), my better half reckons it's a waste of money as the GTR is only ever at the mechanics anyway!
  15. It's not too bad around town, I return just under 12l/100km which is on par with the RS4 it replaced. Different story when towing though, I think 20l/100km would be conservative! I did my first full track day two weeks ago at EC with my GTR now tuned on E85, did 150kms of track time, used 120litres of fuel!! WTF!! Definately not complaining about the fuel consumption in my VW. I checked out your Evo6 last week, very nice piece of kit. In fact if you've still got it in 6 months let me know cause I'll be very interested. It's exactly the car I want for Tarmac Rallies now that my GTR is almost fully track oriented.
  16. You would've been half a chance if you asked to borrow the GTR instead!
  17. Can't beat my VW R50 Touareg. V10 Twin Turbo, chipped, makes approx 300kw + 980nm Torque. Could tow a house if it had too!! Somedays it feels quicker than the car it's towing...... Don't ask me about fuel consumption though, cause it's seriously the last thing I'm worried about considering I've got a temperamental GTR on the trailer behind!!
  18. Sounds like a great idea! Where do you source the Mocal ones from ?? cheers...
  19. Wow, doubling is a big call! it also blows out the difference in front/rear by another 100lbs hence the understeer I'd reckon.. 450/350 is softer than I recalled - thanks Benny.
  20. Hi Ben, Do you know what spring rates the R32 runs ?? There's been some discussion on here re spring rates, I'm pretty sure Mark used to run fairly stiff rear springs to stop the front wheels from lifting ?? Probably diff. setup now with Russ driving though.... :-) cheers, JB
  21. I'm with Marlin and I own a R32 GTR! If you want my 2 bob's worth start by not starting at all.... In the last 2 years I've not finished an event. I love my GTR but at some point you've gotta wonder if the $100+k invested is actually worth it. My last two events were 6 timed laps at SprintBathurst in November, then 1.5 laps at Superlap in May. The car went from SprintBathurst to my mechanic and then from Superlap back to my mechanic. Guess what, it's still there..!! Why, Why, Why!!!
  22. Here's my ratios, nice rpm spread, always a gear available. 3.007 2.112 1.592 1.238 1.000 0.840 pm me your email address and I'll send you a spreadsheet that allows you to calculate gear speeds etc. btw - I've found Hollinger really easy to deal with for parts too.
  23. Hi, Is the plenum still available ?? Is it a genuine Greddy Plenum ?? Thanks.
