  2. C'mon..., wouldn't that suck if it was pissing down!! (I hope you haven't just jinxed the event Benny...)
  3. It certainly can only be because I'm a good bloke, and definately not because one day he'd like him to drive like me!!
  4. Good to see he got John in there as a second name, that Hudson's definately going places!!
  5. Geez, may as well leave my car on the trailer then..... I would've of thought 1:36 is too bloody quick for Open. Where's Bosso, surely he's got an idea on what his little Honda will run..?? 1:32, dunno, whatever the number is, I hope there are several cars all around the same time to make it interesting!
  6. How about some predictions for Pro, Open & Clubsprint times (probably already covered earlier...) Pro - 1:34?? Open - 1:39?? Club - 1:44?? Anyone....??
  7. To be worried would mean I actually care........(which I do, but only a little..) I'm all for just being a part of the experience, and would not miss it even if there was only one category. But it would be nice to know you were competing against people/cars of like skills/performance. Afterall, isn't that the whole idea of three categories ?? I think everyone wants to entertain the thought of being slight chance..... I don't even know the rules/regs for each category but just thought I'd put it out there for comments. (which worked!) See you all soon, I'll be the GTR trying to love tap bosso down the front straight (just for you Marlin!) JB
  8. I dunno about anyone else, but this car/driver combo sounds like it should be in Pro Class??? Pro = Pro/Paid?? Open = Pretend Racers?? Club = Weekend Warriors..... Just a thought........feel free to shoot me down as you will!! (this could get interesting...... ) JB
  9. I'll second WELL DONE to the Snowman!! Awesome effort regardless....... SO, Russ, does the above mean the ol' 32 is now 2.8l ?? it was quick enough before!!
  10. Heya Russ, what is it with you and your R32's brakes ?? Are you sure you're not just missing the brake pedal altogether.......?? :-)
  11. I've got a WJ 05 Jeep Overlander and it's a great tow vehicle. One of the most comfortable set of seats you'll find for those long hauls up and down the east coast. It's 190kw/440nm and tows my R32 with ease. The only place it could do with more power is Mt Victoria heading out to Bathurst, every else perfect. I've been towing with it for 4 years and it's my wife's daily driver. In 147000kms we've had not even the slightest hiccup. Highly reccomend the Jeep! To be honest it's about to go up for sale as I've just bought a VW Touareg V6 TDI for the missus. Don't know what it's worth yet but if anyone is interested in a Jeep, feel free to pm me.
  12. Gotta love the "internally standard"...... let's not worry about all the other stuff that bolts on! Onya Benny!! Anyone got any idea on a format/track schedule as yet ?? I'm going either way, but would love to know how much track time to expect and how many sets of tyres etc, etc, may be required.......
  13. Does anyone know the format (or have an idea) for the two days ?? and why there is such a price disparity between the classes ?? Does it mean that Pro gets more track time than Open, and Open more than Clubsprint ?? or do they just figure that to guys at the top can afford more ?? It'd be good to know just what we can expect for our entry fee.........
  14. please, you mean baby seat! not seats...... Mate, would love to come to Tassie, or anywhere for that matter, but baby comes first (for this year anyway!!) Just think of all the brownie points I'm earning by missing so many events, surely I can go troppo next year!!
  15. I've got one lying around at my mechanics, will get him to check if it's ok.
  16. Too kind Jess , but between you and me (sssshhhh ) the Bright GTR is undergoing a little surgery thanks to my recent engine issues. Should be back better than ever.......................
  17. Why would you ever let them go ?? "The plate maketh the car!!" cause the driver sure doesn't (in my case anyway!!) lol
  18. Sorry Jess, but if "400kw" is not enough, then my measly "360kw" ain't going to strech my legs too far.......
  19. Hi, What condition the block ??, any sign of cracks around studs or anything ?? How many k's has it done ??
  20. Yeh, it's a rounding thing I suppose. But you're right, they do advertise it as a 2.8. I've had a change of plan, now building for Targa and can't go stroker (legally!!) hence now for sale. Just looking to get my money back. Thanks.
