Yep, too many issues with the shitty internal map sensor in the Haltech. It has an external 5bar map sensor now so a retune is required! We're also only running approx 25psi for the weekend, everything's to new to kill....

Should have some more numbers for you tomorrow. Car is getting retuned tonight!

Yep, she's going to make 600hp. It saw over 500hp today pretty easily apparently.

About 50! although it's done probably 10 times this on the dyno... Will do, I think you sent me the high boost ones originally though..

Hi Brett, It was 30psi but dropped down to approx 27psi. Phil thinks the drop may have something to do with the internal gates..?? He didn't really spend too much time worrying about it though. The tune with the knock control work/calculations took him a good part of the full day so other things like boost and cam timing weren't high up on his list this time around. I'm with you though, it made 20psi before 4000rpm previously so I don't see any reason why it can't do it again. I'm going to put some more k's on the engine before we start playing around some more. I'll keep you posted! John

Run in didn't happen. I had a fuel pump fail on the dyno so missed out on track day. Car is back at Brad's being finished off (Risking - Pro Fab). Next dyno run should be in a few days then off to the Wakefield 300 totally untried and untested for some fun.

When I built the head my engine was still only 2.6. Now it's stroked I thought smaller cams would be better suited as I don't rev her as high now. I was also just looking for a little more response.

264 x 10.5 in and ex I was running 272 x 10.8 in and ex Not a big change I know.....

RB28 - Tomei Stroker, E85 is correct though. Turbos came on earlier with the last build even with bigger cams, so with a bit of fiddling we should be able to get her back to 20psi before 4000rpm. Atleast that's the plan. The HTA will hit the rollers again this week sometime...

ok enough talk, more results... Second stage of tune completed over the weekend. My GTR is running a Motec with knock control so Phil Armour spent all day Saturday making my brand new engine knock on 91oct before loading it up with E85 and pushing her once again over the edge before bringing her back to a happy place. For a better explanation see... http://www.motec.com.au/aboutknockcontrol/knockoverview/ Bottom line is we're pushing these little 6258's pretty hard now with no sign of them letting go. All's good with EFR once again! Stage 3 tune will be more revs, play around with cam timing to optimise area under the curve, and keep 30psi in her for the whole rev range. Should be pretty special when finished! As my tuner said on Saturday "Happy Days!"

Was used in my R32 GTR for years. recently replaced when I changed ecu to Motec. In perfect working order, controls up to 2bar with 4 settings available at the turn of a dial. Great boost controller really with easy to read display. Looking for $150 but open to offers... Will post anywhere in Aus.

Helmet ? What are they... Given the conditions we weren't allowed a full tilt, was behind a pace car! Bugger!! Could only imagine what it would be like at full tilt though.
