  1. Hmm i wont pretend i know a lot about how my car works because i dont, i did enquire at the time if i could run both AFM's in line or just run a single AFM and the general answer i got was No, which is why i ended up with the set up i have now. Like i said in my last post i have already ordered and paid for the greddy Y pipe so i guess ill just run with it now unless anyone can identify a significant advantage to running only 1 AFM besides space.
  2. Just confirming the first kit is what i needed and have ordered .. i dont actually have Z32 AFM's but i have the equivalent (80mm's from a Subaru) which will all fit together nicely. Thanks again Paul.
  3. Ah i love you .. well love may be a strong word. But you are pretty damn awesome .. Thats the one i was after!! Signed, Initialed & ill send my assistant over with a kiss, i think you will find him very charming. TY TY TY
  4. Thank you very much, and yes i am aware of the needed bend but proved that little bit too difficult for my own efforts. To be fair however i havent had a great deal of idle problems etc with the absense of a bend. Thanks again im scouring the site for my part as we speak.
  5. Like the title suggests i have performed a single turbo conversion on my RB26 and i have seen an intake kit by Greddy (i think) on a similar conversion but cannot seem to find one for purchase anywhere. Up to this point i have been running a home made pipe [pictured below] which works fine but doesnt deliver the same aesthetic plasure. Does anyone know where i can get a flashy purpose made replacement?
  6. yes does it without hand controller, i try leave my controller unplugged so stupid passengers dont go "ohhh can i play the playstation" and pick it up and end up with god knows what. as for my wiring, you could say its a bit of a mess its an accomplishment in itself to unplug the thing. Ive just removed my twin turbos and replaced with large single so its going for a tune next week, ill ask matt spri at PITS if he has any ideas that man knows PFC's like the back of his hand.
  7. a little more information if it helps anyone with ideas, i run PFC 8.04a and suffer from the hesitation. a little while back i swapped it out with a mate running the exact same version, ran it for a period of maybe 3 - 4 weeks without a hitch. swapped back and the problem came back with it. so it was looking like it was only specific units, however recently his has started getting the problem after a long period of hassel free driving... as mine was second hand when i first received it and his only played up after a while, could it be somethin that comes with age? something breaking down?? has anyone had the problem with a new from the box PFC?
  8. thanks for the replies. truth be told my reasoning for wanting to sell is to buy something a lot more simple and spend the coin making it go, but since everyone feels im better off parting it out i might aswell sell off the stereo keep the car and work the engine. I wouldnt mind entering it in one show before i rid myself of it or strip it back, not to win but just so ive done it. might look at auto salon, brisbane.
  9. i guess if im looking at 20k max its probably not worth selling, maybe ill just see how much power i can squeeze from the 26 and amuse myself that way.
  10. its nice to know at least a couple of people out there like it, there is hope yet. thanks for the replies, keep them coming
  11. Gold rims on a purple car? I never intended to keep the rims, they were offered to me too cheap to refuse so i put them on intended to keep them only until i found something else i like then sell them for a profit, but i still havent found anything else that appeals to me & now thinkin of selling it i didnt see the point spending coin on new wheels. The wing i have no exscuse for tho .. i kinda like it, sorry
  12. The engine has just all been cleaned up, while the turbo was being fitted i had the covers/plenem painted, fitted aluminium radiator, silicon hose kits, cam gears/clear cam cover .. so in all the bay doesnt look too shabby now, but this is the sort of things i wanna know thanks.
  13. yea its all good, i have the unique ability of being able to laugh at myself, i figure if you cant laugh at yourself you probably deserve it. I guess the car ended up the way it has because i know people in the car audio/bodyworks industries .. if i had more mates in the performance areas things could have turned out a lot differently but as it is to get any sort of decent performance work its a 2 hour drive to brisabane or 3 hour drive to the goldcoast ..
  14. haha i guess everyone has their opinion and im not scared of some negative feedback, but if we could keep it to helpful replies it would be appreciated.
  15. the wheels arent my thing really either but they were a steal at a grand with rubber & the kit well being 4 door there is not much available, that had to modified to fit as it was. Its 1993 series 1 .. The engine is stock except for the work ive just done, its running power FC and a few bits (intercooler, fuel pump, cam gears etc)
