lol yeah that was i, you looked pretty involved there so i wasn't going to get into the whole ( hey how you going ) thing nice sized turbo hanging off the side of your engine there!
-
When I bought mine some one had already made up a pod thing which i don't mind but it is a bit low, It is nice and neat and out of the way and wouldn't be to hard to make
-
did you get instructions with the bov, It should enplane all that in there, Mine is a gfb gt hybrid and according to the instructions you should undo the adjustment screw one full turn, and keep doing that till it stops.
-
come on! some one must have some idea,

Gday all When pulling up to a set of lights i have a noise that sounds like a pump of some kind, Its not to loud but i am guessing that its not supposed to be there. You can only hear the noise when pulling up and about half a second after coming to a complete stop the noise will stop, But if you slow right down to less then walking speed it will still be there no matter how far you roll, The noise doesn't change speed or volume and it doesn't change if its in neutral or clutch in, Could it just be a noisy Attessa pump? any ideas would be good cheers

only 54000km and it sounds like a vacuum leak but from a small hole so fairly high in sound, had another look last night but couldn't find it. Doesn't do it when car is cold and you can only hear it when idling
-
yeah sounds about right, I am not running as much boost but yes, I am pretty confident that it isnt the exhaust being to restrictive. Are you running stranded bov? Strange question but are you located in Hobart?
-
yeah my stranded boost gauge said i was running 7psi and holding all the way through, Its a different story with a accurate gauge.
-
every thing is factory except 3inch cat back, the cat was replace for importing so i might rip it off and have a look to see what diameter the opening is. I went out and bought a bov today ( gfb gt hybrid ) but doesn't get it till Friday, I can hear a slight hissing noise coming from around the bov area when the car is running and when you turn the engine off it keeps hissing for a second, Not sure if thats supposed to happen, guessing not! probably should have checked all these things before posting, But where would be the fun in that cheers

Stagea Rear Louvre Panel Removal
Punk72 replied to stagea-rs4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
not to sure but ether on clips or you have to take off the interior trim and there will be some little nuts that you have to undo take off interior trim first and have a look to see if its screwed on because that will be the easiest. If on clips good luck as some times they can be really tight, and dont try and pries it off the glass side come in from the rear door side -
yeah that sounds right, as mine is a manual. thats maybe one part answered, i am maybe thinking its the factory bov

gday all I put a new/more accurate boost gauge in the other day and after taking it for a drive in the country (which was a lot of fun) I found that it comes onto boost at about 9 psi down low in the rpm, until about a little over 5500 it starts to drop off and gets down to about 7 psi so its loosing about 2 to 3 psi. Its hard to watch the boost gauge and stay on the road at the same time so these are a little ruff but i do know that there is a fair decrease in boost high up in rpm and actually feels sluggish at high rpm After reading a lot of posts on here i am under the impression that the c34 was supposed to have a 2 stage boost setup but mine starts off at 9psi, I have had a look at the boost solenoid and all vacuum hoses and they all look stranded, no cut wires or modifications. I wouldn't mind so much if it was 1 psi that i was loosing but a couple?! any ideas cheers

Water Leak Drivers Side Footwell
Punk72 replied to MyStag260's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
The only way to find a water leak is get a hose and spend 5-10 min on each section of the car and have some one in side waiting for the water to come in, if go spraying it willy nilly you will never find it. Always work from the bottom first, eg firewall, doors, heater in take, windscreen and roof rails. Spend an extra 5min pouring water in the heater in take, they are designed to have water going in but some times the drain clogs up and the water works it way through the ducting and into the car. good luck, you will need it -
I have always used oil type filters and never had any drama's, if you where really worried about it clogging up the afm you could just spray some contact cleaner in the afm to give it a clean, ( after taking it off first )
-
Yeah it has the three gauges, boost volts and torque, no oil gauge
-
thanks for you answers, mine is a manual so should it be plugged into something? sorry if these are stupid questions but the car is still new to me. bis-e bee, yeah your right the car is running fine, so i shouldn't be poking around to much and just drive it. but i cant help it
-
ok i just have two questions 1 i was looking down around the oil filter to day and i noticed a sensor that wasn't plugged into any thing,so i am just checking to see if its an after market thing and doesn't need to be plugged in or if it should. Where the oil filter screws into the plate between the block, is where the sensor in question is, on the front side of the car, so if your standing above its on your right side. 2 Down around the same area but on the transfer case there is a hose that connects to the front of the case and then comes up and is cut off it looks like a breather hose, is that right cheers its a neo 25

if only you had asked yesterday, they are probably at the tip by now, i would have given them to you sorry

-
that funny i have those lights in mine! they are shit, hence why i have just bought the three interior light off msports180 which just turned up today

mmmm where to start, driver side was good nearly no rust all. passenger side had a fair bit, 90% was under the mirror but there was alot of metal missing. That was all good did the rust converter and primer (easy). as for the tiny bit that you could see i thought i could just sand it back and trickle a bit of paint and bobs your uncle. well it turns out bob isnt my uncle. by the time i got to fresh metal it had turned from 5mm space to 40mm space and as its pearl white i am starting to think i should have taken it to the body works!! Its not that bad, It is painted and sanded so from a few feet away you cant notice it but up close you can. At least the rust is fixed, I will take it to a body works and see if they can do a better job with the paint. I should have taken some photos and done a step by step how not to paint
