  1. Saw the legendary Slim two days ago around 5.00pm coming home from work. Just along the Pacific Highway, at the turn off before BP and the drive-in KFC. I'm not too good with street names The car looks absolutely stunning mate.
  2. Here are a few snaps from the past few weeks. 1. Carousel Horse at Luna Park 2. From the Gosford Yacht Club 3. Taken at Waratah Park off Mona Vale Road 4. Spaggetti XD 5. My chair
  3. f**k those ads sent shivers down my spine. A real wake-up call that you always got to drive safe. I'm on my Red P's and have been driving like a granny as of late, but I used to drive a lot more erratically. Just watching these gives me that sinking feeling in your stomach - imagine in real life if it happened. Stay safe on the roads!
  4. I'll post what I posted on the video. 'There is very little space to pass on these roads? If the R35 had started the Sudden Death round the GTR would be the winner. You can't expect in a single minute race for there to be any legit passing' This video proves nothingggg
  5. Stunning shot Slim! Beautiful contrast between the orange and blue. Just stunning.
  6. Am stoked that I finally got my first camera for Christmas Canon Powershot SX10IS - which I've used in the past week up at the Central Coast. Here are some of my top shots from the week. Thoughts? This is probably my third time I took some 'proper' photos. Any feedback would be great
  7. It's a little discouraging for the car enthuiast scene wouldn't you say? I mean not everyone wants to drive on track. But rather, use their pride and joy as their daily. I mean what will become of all of us here? For all the motoring clubs, who are in love with 90's and earlier cars.
  8. Well a month or two ago I had my sights set on a S13 or a R32 or R33 NA but I think I'll save a lot more money in the long run by getting a Honda Civic; installing an exhaust and sound system. And keep that for about 10 years whilst I save for the R34 GTR. Although.. the way fuel pricing is at the moment, who knows what form motorvehicles will take by then. I.e. laws introduced banning the use of petroleum in cars, a complete lack of oil all together to support the global economy, introduction of new hybrid cars, phasing out of petroleum use cars
  9. Saw the famous DRDOOF again today. Driving on Mona Vale Road at around 2.30. You probably didn't notice or remember but I was in a white Peugeot 206 with P plates on. I was tempted to wave at you as I went by, but you may have been like WTF. Haha.
  10. I hope to do some these modifications to the car. I.e. Rims, Brakes, Tyres, Tinting, Possible paintjob/detailing, Sound System, Suspension, Interior, Air Intake, Intercooler, Exhaust, Dump Pipe etc What would those mods be defined as? These would all be done steadily over a couple of years I imagine. I'm not planning to touch the engine internals. Like pistons, crankshafts.. Driven on the weekend; maybe not trackdays for a couple years after I buy until I've got the dough. I plan also to save up for a motorbike to drive to combat fuel prices and to lower the mileage and running costs of the Skyline over time
  11. I appreciate the replies guys. I should have specified that I am planning to modify the car. And it would only be a weekender, whilst I would ride my bike to and from work. I know I will catch the modding bug, but I need to have the knowledge that if you're disciplined with the money it won't have a major affect on your budget etc. That you can still live a fairly secure financial life. Without sounding wanky or anything, does this make sense haha?
  12. I am in the process of making goals for my financial future. I am wanting to buy a Skyline by the age of 25. However, one of my key concerns is from what I've heard over and over again on these forums - Skylines suck your wallet dry. How true is this statement? How much of your paycheck usually goes towards your baby? Does having a Skyline really hinder your saving or regular spending ability? Or is it a misunderstood rumour which I've gullibly accepted? Help me out here Seb
  13. Well that was my direct intention
  14. The interior may be nice but you'll be better off getting the underside of the car checked. That's where the real damage will show, if there's any at all. There's a terrific thread in another forum about What to look for when buying a Skyline. Good luck with your purchase!
  15. Word! This guy is obviously an absolute tosser! How can anyone possibly defend him? There is nothing sensible about going that speed limit. Nothing can justify this type of action! He more than likely shat his pants when he saw the sirens, rather than having a lesser fine in mind or being sensible. It's people like this who give us all a bad name.
