just installed a boost gauge (i Tee'd it into that line going from the back of the plenum to that little black box near the firewall) to my car as im waiting for my turbotech bc to come. on boost, on the stock gauge on the dash it reads about 1mm over the line inbetween 0 and +7, and on the boost gauge it reads 10psi when i kick the clutch a little it spikes up to 11psi, i havnt gotta boost controller installed and i only have minimal mods. i was planning to wind the boost up to 10-11psi (for the sake of the stock turbo) and get a catback exhaust soon, wont the catback bring the boost up very slightly aswell? reason im asking i read that a 33 with the usual mods (full zorst, some sorta intake ie pod of high flowing panel filter, FMIC) would be about 9-10psi without a boost controller and mines making more then that with less mods? or is this normal? car is completely stock apart from the following: 3inch bellmouth dump/front pipe gutted stock cat earthed stock boost solenoid ground wire (the 1 that switches after 4500rpm) k&n panel filter r34 SMIC blocked the hole off on the stock bov

this is in an r33 gtst series 2 (96) trying to find which is the power antenna wire in the factory wiring. whoever installed my aftermarket cd player left it out and wen i flick the power antenna switch the antenna doesnt come up and i get shitty reception. does anyone know wat colour wire it is, (i heard red/black trace but i cant see 1 anywhere)? maybe even which plug its in? and also one other thing, is this antenna wiring factory, wen i unplug it i get no reception at all so im guessing it is factory (reason i ask is i had aftermarket antennas mounted on my back window)

umm not to keen on reading 80+ pages thought sum1 might be able to help, this MBC is from turbotech right? i checked on their site and cant find anything, although we do deal with them at work, if i ring them up and just ask for a 'turbotech manual boost tee' is he gna be like,' yeh mate we got like 50 different types' or is there only 1 type, is there anything unique about it that i can explain to the guy? it uses a ball bearing or something? lol flame suits alredy zipped up

my clutch is starting to slip so its time to spend some more money, the car is pretty much stock only got exhaust, but soon wen i get some money should see 200kw, my goal later on is to see 300kw so i want something strong that i can drop at high revs and kick around corners, but also is nice enough to drive with daily. so im thinking a nice strong single plate with a lightened flywheel, i would like to pay up to $1000 but i have a feeling wat i want is gonna cost close to the $2000 mark.

ok im the 1st owner in aus, back in japan they must of had a big stereo install, theres 4 alpine antennas on the back window, dvd player under the seat, some other alpine unit under the seat, gps arial, handsfree thingy, some other alpine thingy on the dash, and none of these are working coz back in japan they must of ripped out all the goodies and left me with all this stuff that doesnt work coz ive only got a single din cd player (installed by the dealership). problem is my antenna doesnt come up, so i cant listen to the radio, and the blue wire on the cd player side isnt connected to anything. so how do i find my arial wire coz theres wires everywhere. also ive got a switch on the dash for the power antenna, can i get a wire straight off this? does any1 know the colour of the power antenna wire (on the harness side)

im changing out my dump pipe and replacing my o2 sensor while im at it, got a EL falcon sensor for $110, the thread is the same and im aware i need to change the plug. ok so both sensors have 2 white wires and 1 black wire, if i chop the plug off do i just match it up, example black wire to black wire and heres the part im not sure about, either of the white wires to either of the white wires, ie. it doesnt matter which white goes to the other white? heres some pics of the sensors, the thread is the same but they dont look the same, is this normal and ok? (the falcon one is the one with the longer lead)

when asking whether i should get a split dump/front pipe or bellmouth dump/front pipe for my car i get lots of different answers, but no explanations on why i should use that one, the only thing ive heard from the bellmouth boys is that quite a few people have issues fitting the splits on. so is the fitting issuses just a dodgey pipe or if i buy a split pipe am i gonna expect it to not fit properly. i want to fit a dump/front pipe and cat myself to get more experience and mostly coz im a poor bastard now i own a skyline haha. so what are the pro's and cons, which one works better for you? is how much power i got and what boost im running a factor too? or am i making a big deal out of nothing and i shud just get whatevers cheeper (bell) and easier to fit (bell) edit: these are the 2 im looking at, both JJR bellmouth: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=276&page=1 split: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=276&page=1

in a 33 gtst series2, long story short i was driving after replacing a tire, then i heard a scraping noise so i pulled over, and that black piece of plastic that sits behind the stock side mount intercooler, infront of the front left wheel came off, my bumper was kinda hanging off so wen i attempted to put it back on with that black plastic cover, i could only get 1 screw onto that cover so i just left it out, do i need it?? i have a feeling cops might pick on me for it, am i over-reacting?

sorry i didn't state how much power im chasing and how much boost i wanna run, i heard split's perform better then bellmouth's at lower boost. im aiming for around 200rwkw with the stock turbo, i dont think ill run more then 12psi, use still recon i should go for a bellmouth? ps. im not gonna get a highflow cat, ive already got a 'special' stock one, so i just want something 3inch to run in between the stock turbo and stock cat that bolts straight up

yeh so they pretty much lied to me, wen i got a few quotes for imports they stated all the crap they offer, then they tell me they do this unlimited modifications thingo, that doesn't bring ur premium up as long as u tell them and they are legal - sweet. i ring them up telling them i got a front lip and side skirts put on, and i dont wna bring up my agreed value coz its not much, so now my premium has raised $80. is every single mod i do to this car gna bring up my premium even if i dont wna increase the overall value of the car? is it worth telling them future mods? f*k sake isnt over $3000 a year for a 12grand car enough.. seriously

yeh i spose the way id been driving i was bound to get fined sooner or later it was on alexander drive comming towards hepburn (in malaga), i personally think 70k's is too slow for that road anyways, the left lane usualy moves at 80-90k's, i dont know y i was speeding i just took off from the lights, built it up to 100 then started to cruise over the hill. the reason i hate driving the speed limit...every single car drives up my ass even in the left lane, they usualty have some piece of shit lancer/excel or something along those lines, they change lanes give u a dirty ass look, then rev the living guts outa there 4 banger to make it move, just makes me wna shoot past em. another example, on hepburn (80ks) i had some cnt in some new sum sort right up my ass, usualy wen some1s tailgating i speed up a lil, to prevent road rage, so i get up to 90 ks stil up mi ass, 100 still there, by tghis time i think he wants to race or something, 120 still there, i boot it to 140 still there so i just turn off, do a U-turn and come back to find the guy pulled over with his interior light on, my guess wud be calling to hoon hotline, even tho i wuda been driving the speed limit if he wasnt half way up my ass edit: oh yeh i bought a whistler pro78, he gave it to me for 500 coz i told him wat happened, might get a scrambler after i do some research to see how legal they are, and apparently zenon gas charged headlights (just those halogen ones) contribute to preventing a reading from lasers/multinovas so i might start driving with headlights on during the day too. the detector is pretty good, picked up a cop car on the way home, and i went past the camera again (so tempted to run it over) and the detector picked it up as soon as i turned the corner, prbly a good 2-300 meters.

dont take my word for it but, thats minimum wage, + wen i 1st started i was 15 years old and clueless as anything, i didnt even know wat voltage was, so a 20 year old with a bit of experience id imagine would be on a bit more then a clueless 15 year old
