  19. Factory rarity Damo, not a hot hatch to be sneezed at either in their day!
  20. Sounds like your spot on Penny. I wouldn't go pricing a new one through Nissan though. Check that place on Carlton Rd out, if they're still there. They should be able to put new bearings in and give it a freshen up inside.
  21. New alternator bearing you could get done at the place on Carlton rd in Gawler, cant remember thier name but they are an electric motor rewinders. Water pump, better of getting a new one through Nissan, dont go for the cheaper option they're shite also dont belive parts guys when they say RB30 is the same. Power steering pump would have to be taken to someone like ReCar at St Agnes or similar. I'd start with the alternator and maybe water pump. Only down side with the water pump is you have to take off all your timing belt cover, harmonic balancer(unless you can get the bottom cover off without removing it),and timing belt. Hope it all goes well for you Penny
  22. V8+bike=Moto Guzzi
  23. Hole for the water pump is actually underneath as far as i remember. Alternator bearings to get noisy too. Are you sure the belts are seated properly in the groves of the pulleys? A spray with CRC Belt Grip could also help. The guys are heading in the right direction, were the cam seals and crank seal done with the timing belt? Possibly over tightened belts? Should be about 10mm movement up and down at the belts longest point between pulleys. Over tightening will put extra side load on bearing and chew them out a lot quicker.
  24. Just be careful with ethanol blend fuels! I put some 98/10% ethanol in mine and the knock reading skyrocketed. Was tuned on Ultimate 98, tuner said that any ethanol blend fuel is trouble unless you retune for it. Due to the amount of extra fuel needed and less timing because of higher burn rate. My knock went from 30 on ultimate to over 200 on ethanol blend! Oh and Damo, go for the chrome/orange globes. Last thing you want is nice clear side markers with daggy orange globes.
