im with most of the other people on here dont bother doing engine swap! just not worth it. another option would be to buy a r32 gts-4 there turbo, gtst brakes etc etc. iv owned one for over a year now and love it, s*#t loads on fun in the hills and on the track, handles great doesn't hav the go of a GTR but you can pick one up for what you sell yours for with abit of change leftover (if you got 10k for it) to spend on it......

Awesome! thanks guys great help, iv got lathe, mills etc all that kinda gear at my workshop so it wouldn't be a backyard job. i also make blower impellars for work that spool up to about 8000rpm so hav kinda done abit of work with balancing etc just on alot BIGGER scale! Hi guys sorry if this is a stupid question..... iv search and cant find anything on this topic. Just wondering whats actually involved in high flowing a turbo? and if you can buy the parts to high flow a rb25 s1 turbo???? im a boiler maker and pretty handy with tools and machining, just wondering if i can do this myself??? any info would be greatly appreciate. cheers kel.

coil packs are now on my gts4. so there gone. motor dropped to $1100ono thats with loom (to go into a r32) 2x ecu's (ones a mines one ) and plenum etc basically everything you need to run it minus: turbo, coilpacks, air flow meter. pm sent to ag.33up.

haha you could just rip the guts out of the turbo but the P plater is going to hav a hard time trying to convince a cop that its non turbo when the turbo is sitting right there!

hey eatkao iv actually done the conversion myself twice....... had a r32 which had a rb25det s1 in it and had to do it due to P's did all the work myself piss easy basically just pulled the turbo off and blocked all the water lines and oil lines then made up a adaptor that went from the manifold to the exaust where the turbo usually is just 2 flanges and some bits of steel plate filling in between them (im a welder by trade, but anyone could do it). also had to work out a system for the air intake just used a intercooling pipe that i had with a pod on the end of it that went to the afm then into the motor. car ran alright abit ritch (inside pipe black) and was heavy on fuel (might of had to do something with my foot ) but ran fine seemed to go better after a couple of days of driving it around tuned itself in or something. crashed that one..... got a gts4 now with a rb20 and did the same to it a couple of weeks ago and its also running fine, just abit slow... turbo back in 4 months hope this is helpful.

hey guys im keen but cant confirm for sure atm. im from northen nsw (ballina way) Brought a r32 gts4 last friday pretty well stock. except im on my p's and had to take the turbo off for the moment only 5 months to go though . keen to meet a few other skyliners no one really seems to get together down here. iv got a alright camera and would be keen to take some pics im no great photographer though. i agree with 32JEZ 32 all the way!!!! havent owned a r33 but i hav owned a r32 gtst with a rb25 in it went like a cut snake and and was alot of fun. i now own a r32 gts4 and love it even more sticks to the road like s#%t to a blanket!!! r33 just look big and boatish and there as common as ar........ where i live. but really is up to you, depends what one you like and what your planning on doing with it.

turbo x-trail: not really keen to separate turbo from motor atm was thinking of keeping it myself if someone didn't want it. BUT! if motor doesn't sell in a few days or a wk or so, will be willing to start selling bits off it, need the cash as i should be picking up my r32 gts4 tomo or fri. will pm you if i decide to. same goes with the coil packs nos man: as far as i know its a s1 with 85k on it Anyone know how to tell the differences so i can confirm?????? Motor will also come with a mines ECU not sure whats done to it came with the car but never hooked it up.
