Sweet, another Gun Metallic in Adelaide. We need to get them together for a cruise/photo at some stage. Enjoy your GTR. Great to have you on the board. Cheers, Munro
  2. Have you got your mid pipe yet Gibbo?
  3. Ah, just took off as Nissan intended! OK, maybe the road was a bit damp & there was a bit of sideways action. Just wrong time/wrong place I guess. Once I got talking to him he realised I was easy to deal with but they call it in before they even get out of the car so was too late to just give me a warning. Will have to be careful from now on.
  4. Yep, its good to share (Cars that is) I took someone in my R35 the other day straight after getting the mid pipe fitted & let them have a go too. He was wrapped that I let him but you are right, why not. Expensive car yards dont like it very much though!!! I have driven a number of Maseratis, Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs etc on the off chance I might like to buy one but mostly decided to stay with my Jappers - ha ha. Agree about the Diablo - they just say &$^% off awesome looking cars. Too many good cars out there - Not enough time (or money) I am trying to cut down anyway. The cops are trying to cut us down too. I only had my R35 for 2 weeks before they decided to store it for me for 7 days!!! When I went to pick it up from impound it was surrounded by VL & VNs with flat tyres & the GTR seemed quite happy to get out of there. I dont think it liked Hoon jail very much!
  5. Carbon looks great on these cars. I just saw a huge pile of carbon bits waiting to go on a new R35 here in Adelaide. The guy has purchased just about everything from the password JDM catalog & will look awesome when finished.
  6. Sounds the same at 60. I haven't sat on 100 yet (just wizzed past it!!!) so will check it out & let you know. You wont look back, this pipe is the bomb...
  7. See www.willallracing.com.au there are some good soundtracks on there It's different sound to the old RB26 on wastegate! More Ferrari like. Very addictive.
  8. Ah not quite, Julian has just got a white one to replace his white 997 GT3 which got stolen! Bravo Richard, well said. Pity our sheds are not all bigger. If mine was I would go for :- Mansory Vincero - Go The Carbon (But as there are only 3 I may have to put up with std Bugatti Veyron!!!) Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 ( Saw 3 of them last year at showroom in Dubai - pure porn on wheels) Porsche 997 GT2 (what can I say - may be a GTR head but I still love hot porkers) Mercedes Benz E63 in Black ( Something classy to take the family out to dinner in) FPV F6 in Blue ( Home grown hero - if you haven't driven one you should - great drive) Holden HKS GTS monaro ( bucket to drive, But I love looking at the old girl!)
  9. Ha Ha. Yes I had the Willall midpipe fitted today & my wife is well pleased with the extra girth & increased thrust. I have done just over 1000 kays with the stock system & I love the new midpipe. It sounds almost the same on start up & idle but when you put the boot in it sounds much better & feels like a real performance car. Very pleased. I was concerned it might drone a bit but have not noticed much difference at all at cruise speeds. It only seems to make the sweeter noise when you are on the throttle & that is exactly what I wanted. The WRX STI that I dusted off this afternoon seemed to agree with me on the noise factor. He just loved the sound & made sure to let me know at the next set of lights!!! I was lucky enough to be able to do back to back noise testing today as I was able to cruise up the Gorge this morning & again this evening (for those not from SA this is one of the best "hammer" roads in the state with lovely sweeping bends & cambers up in the Adelaide hills) & the increased engine note is fantastic. Full marks Willall. Great product. Great price. Anyone else out there that hasn't got one of these fitted yet - dont hesitiate. As Dirt Said....... Aussie Aussie Aussie.
  10. Yep, I just looked at the steering wheel & pressed the source button & what do you know! Awesome car. Just need to learn how to use it properly.
  11. Phew. I am glad I have already got mine. I totally love it.
  12. And this is the reason I bought a JDM GTR. Willall Racing. Proffessional service, parts, & backup. I knew I could never leave the car standard (not with all the yummy bits available for the R35!) & was going to track race the car, so didnt see the point paying a bit more for ADM warranty only to have it voided. Also, the JDM has the full launch (lunch!) control (is awesome fun), the CD slot (need help with that 70RTY - which one is source button?) & the JDM has a better resolution MFD. I also like how it talks to you in Japanese! 70RTY I saw your car advertised & think the lighter wheels look great with the white pearl paint. You have done well. Enjoy.
  13. I have got a CF card but not sure how to bring up the music box menu in my JDM 35. Anyone help me - am obviously missing something .
  14. I met this owner recently & he is a major Holden head (read HSV dealer) who needed to see what all the fuss was about. Another Holden/HSV dealer I know well (on TV recently & loves to 'Cruze') is taking delivery of his new R35 GTR this week so it is interesting to see how Directors of other car dealerships are spending their hard earned money on new Nissans!!! Go GTR..........
  15. The Custom aluminum front fuel tank is for sale too.
  16. $800. I cant use it now. Great for high power set up.
  17. Cool. when can you fit mine Martin?
  18. Performax do excellent work, my brother bough a new GMC truck from them & a fifth wheeler caravan. Definately recommend them. The new Camaro is damn sexy (loved that bit in transformers) & looks great from any angle. Would be a hard call though if they are north of $150k 'cause that is getting to R35 GTR money & while the Camaro is a horn looking car I would be surprised if it would be as capable as the R35. If a "cruiser" is your scene I would not hesitate. Just a pity they have to be over $100k. If Holden brought them in in RHD for around $80k they would sell like hotcakes for sure. Specially if Megan Fox comes with it for the first coupde of weeks!!!
  19. These brakes are SOLD pending payment. I will let you know if falls thru. Only $80 to send lot to Perth so better to just pay $1000 + postage for the lot.
  20. Prefer to sell complete - do not want to separate.
  21. Go the 10.5 if you can fit them. I am running 265s on 9.5" But I wish I bought 10.5s so I could go a bit bigger with cup tyres. As it is I will have to stay with 265s as that is really the biggest you can go on 9.5" wide. A mate runs 19" x 10.5s on his R34 for the street & puts the orig 18 x 9s on with semis for the track. My R35 has 285s on 10.5" on the rear but they are not circuit tyres (look porn though)
  22. Thanks, it was set up for drag (used to run 9.4 @ 153) but got sick of no Drag track here in Adelaide, so have rebuilt it to suit circuit racing out at Mallala.
