I heard reallyyyy bad things about them, from a guy that used to work there and quit because of the way they treated the cars. Apparently they just rip off door trims, chuck them on the ground etc.... And other people have told me that they did burnouts in the cars. I dunno whether it's all true, but I guess they can't do much harm when fitting a kit. They charge $1500 for a full respray (colour change) so bodykit fitment must be cheap as chips.

Instead of creating another "what panel shop" thread, I'll ask here... Where should I go to get the kit fitted and sprayed? First priority is quick turnaround, because I need the car to get to work. Should I trust DT Panels? lawl.

Yeah, I was just testing the black bonnet to see how it would look. I don't think it needs it. I already have the black/chrome lip SSRs ordered. Clear indicators are done. Same front bar and similar sideskirts. Will get a TRD wing (similar to that) and then a nice rear to finish off. If I get bored with red then I'll do a full respray later on. Fitment/spray of just the kit will only be like $1000 or so. Sounds like a plan I think I like it better than black on black.

Red/black combo?? Would save me a huge amount of money keeping it red. Was only resprayed 2 years ago. I think red is growing on me...

I know of at least 10+ people that would buy one. And I could sell at $500 or more. Pretty easy money IMO... But then again I don't have the resources to create fiberglass molds.

Lucky kent. That's how MR2QIK got his front bar. The car came with it when imported. I could probably make some good money if I made a mold and sold copies but then it wouldn't be special anymore

That's the front bar I'm getting! It took me some serious searching (2 years to find one) but I'll probably be the only person in VIC with one. The only other one I know of in Australia is MR2QIK in Sydney. That's only through forums though. Could be some non-forum people with that bar.

LOL... 1) I already owned the sound system. I've been collecting bits and pieces for over 2 years. $4000RRP+ of shit 2) I didn't pay for the plates. They were a gift. 3) I did buy a decent set of wheels. SSR SP1s biatch! Anything that Hamish suggests must be good haha

Would have to have a GTR engine and AWD system Then you could allllmost call it a GTR. Mine is identical to a jap model. Good luck finding anything that says otherwise Other than VIN as you mentioned.

I know Ironic eh? But I decided about 2 years ago I wanted those plates. Mum eventually bought them for my 21st. At the end of the day, ADMs never came with turbos. Only my friends will know that it's not an import. Only the shell is ADM. Everything else is gutted from a JDM model. The wheels will be JDM. All performance parts will be JDM. There will be nothing aussie about it

What's wrong with those plates? I think they're pretty clever JDM MR2 or JD (my initials) MR2. Most people were supportive of my choice but eh, can't please everyone

Those were my exact thoughts. The front bar doesn't look bad though. The rear is just stupidly wide and boxy. If it only stuck out 1/4 of that width and had a smoother design then it might actually look okay. I wonder what kind of epic spacers the guy had on them wheels

I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the MX5s appearance, but performance wise they're exactly what I look for in a car. Light, agile, RWD.. They're a shitload of fun to drive, even though they aren't terribly fast.

Wooot! After many hours of work my audio install is complete. Farkkk it is LOUD and clear. Over $4000RRP of shit in there. I didn't pay that much though obviously Cost price FTW.

Too bad I already payed a deposit on them SSRs They're far from Shan's baller standards.
