Find me a gen 3 gearbox, driveshaft and diff then I bet you won't be able to. A halfcut is like $2500 and I can sell the engine alone for like $2000.

Nah, I need the diff and all that shit too. Then sell off the rest of the halfcut and get most of the money back. It's the best way to do it IMO.

Yeah. The gearbox/driveshaft etc. are all stock still (1990 ADM) so it looks like the best thing to do is buy a late model turbo halfcut and take the gearbox/diff off that. Other than that the mechanic said it was a very healthy car, very straight body etc. He couldn't believe the price I got it for

That happened to me earlier this week. I got done for doing 70 in a 50 zone but the way they guessed that is because I turned down a side street and by the time they decided to follow I was further down the road than I could have possibly been doing if I was going the speed limit. While this topic is still floating around... I did a search but didn't really come to any conclusion. What panel shop should I get my car resprayed at? I was almost gonna take it to Exotic Panels but heard bad stories. Anywhere else that is relatively cheap ($4500ish) but not shit? lol

Well the swap was done at 220,000km when the old engine was getting a bit old. The gen3 is a much better designed engine. And well, obviously for more power! Gen 2 NA = 117kw Gen 3 turbo = 180kw (stock) Mine would probably be over 200kw. Loving the power/weight ratio

Well it turns out that the oil light was only on because the sensor is from the gen2 NA engine.. the gen3 turbo is completely different. That's what the previous owner told me (after I just txted him about it). I actually checked the dipstick this time and it indicates it's full haha.. BUT there is a pool of oil under the car (probably about 100ml). Could this be because I overflowed it? I only topped it up by about 100ml Either I have epic failed or the old owner is lying.

Trust me to only just notice the oil leak now.......... f**k. It's not too bad but it's still a problem and won't pass a roadworthy.
