No no. Not necessarily. Just say the engine was 100%, interior was nice, wheels done BUT the paint was absolute shit, I wouldn't mind. I'd put that extra money into a respray and kit. As for good paint already.. If it was black then I wouldn't respray it. However, I still don't like unkitted MR2s. That's what I did with my last one. Paint was good all over except bonnet... So I resprayed the bonnet and added a kit. Chucked on new tail lights from Toyota (late model) and some clear indicators. Looked brand new. The only thing that car needed was decent wheels and slammage and it would have been perfect in my eyes.

Because then I'd never drive the 2nd car. For example, I never touch my 300ZX twin turbo (as fun as it is to drive) other than a quick run around once a week to keep things in order. I want a car that I can enjoy driving every day. Something I can boost a bit on the way to work or driving home from my girlfriend's place at 3am on a Friday night. Get what I'm saying? MR2s do tend to be very reliable cars, I'm just a bit weary of the higher powered ones. Forged internals would put my mind to rest a bit more. Had the Supra for a few months now. It's nice... but boring. Sure, it may "rip mad skidz" and go surprisingly quick for a NA but that's not what I look for in a car. I used to wake up each morning and love driving my little MR2 to work. It was a blast. The Supra lacks that excitement. As for the rims, they came with the car. I think they're just some aussie shit that TTF would sell. 18 matte black with a polished chrome lip. I don't really like them but I'm not going to bother changing them.

Name some decent cars from recent and I'll consider. Must be turbo, 2 door, RWD/AWD and handle well. I prefer something with a low roof line and sleek body. Oh and 20k budget. Kgo And forget S15s... Way too common for my liking.

Ergh... Also just spotted that it has twin 4.5 inch cannons. And... wait for it... king springs ? FAIL. New exhaust + coilovers. Factor in another $3k. See what I mean now? I just want to get in a completed car and drive it.

I've had my eye on that yellow one too. Things that turn me off... 1) It's got 190,000 on the clock (and was probably already wound back when imported) 2) It's owned by a P plater Plus that needs more money spent. There's no way I'd be driving around in a stock bodied MR2 with stock wheels, especially a yellow one. Factor in respray, kit and wheels... Another $8000 at least. Plus new tail lights. Those ones are faded. Yeah I'm that picky I drive 1000km a week so I'm looking for something very solid.

I drove through Knox yesterday (and nearly every other day for the past 5 months) and still had no hassles. The only time I've ever had a run in with police in that area was when I was parked at a school at night (looked suspicious) and they realised that I was driving manual on an auto license. I guess I'm just lucky.

If I'm in the car to supervise then generally anyone that owns a manual car is welcome to drive. At any stage I can say GTFO. The people I don't trust are panel beaters and the like... I've only had bad experiences with them. F*ckers used like $40 of fuel when apparently all they did was "move the car around the workshop"
