  1. No, was going past Autobarn here and spotted the even they were on about over at Boost Cruising took one look (from the lights above the shop) and kept going
  2. FYI Boost cruising meets are gay, It's more bogan than a Commodore packed full of vb drinking mullet rocking Cabbo natives listening to AC/DC while yelling out the window about how they can cut "Heaps sic skids" in there mum's hand me down VN.
  3. If it is an R33 as far as I know you can only run an R32 ECU or a Z32 one depending on if you want VCT functionality.
  4. EFI do Nistune in QLD and the tuner sean is great, I had my R32 Nistuned by them it never missed a beat as long as I owned it. I went a Power FC in my R34 GT-T and it's working great, I have had it installed since the car had it's first mods fitted, No issues with the unit what so ever.
  5. I won't be going to motokohana this weekend but I should be at the next laps as I just paid my club membership.
  6. Anyone Interested in doing Track day's later this year? I am looking to get into it later this year.
  7. you forgot to love him longtime.
  8. Do they have a deposit with them? If not I'll take them for a drive in it, No way in hell am I letting someone drive my baby unless they have the cash to pay for her.
  9. Anyone else running royal purple as there oil? I am pretty happy with it so far just looking to see if anyone else has some feedback about it.
  10. Problem is you brought an NA.
  11. If you are coming to Brisbane how much would it be to look over my current tune on my power FC ( I have bosch 044, 600cc inj, hypergear SS1PU Turbo, Z32 AFM.) It may need some touch up. and is a nistune possible with my current level of mods? would be interesting to see the comparison between the 2.
  12. Now that the sun is out I might take the car for a spin.
  13. Boost is where all the special people live, Special in a helmet and crayons kind of way.
  14. mine is my daily, I drive the 5 mins to work and home.
  15. I'll check with the tuner if the car had a diag's connector plugged in.
  16. I'll bring the missus's mazda 2
  17. I'll try upping the tension when this rain pisses off (that's if there are roads to drive on after) I have some holiday time coming up DVS so maybe a trip to the dark side is an option, how much would a look over an tune adjust cost ( ball park figure)
  18. So tentioning up the actuaitor should make the boost climb steeper? what psi should it be set to? Is DVZ located in the brisbane area?
  19. As far as I know 10 hours or so was spent on the tune, I will try putting the boost controller back on when the weather is better and the ground is dry (no traction is no good for testing) I am thinking that (based on what I have read and that there is a bit of room for wiggle in the A/F ratio's) I should be able to setup the EBC again and then bring the boost up to a 16 PSI stable with a slightly quicker spool speed. I am not sure what the current knock is I have the hand controller so i'll have a look at it. What constitutes bad knock? The question is do I have enough room in my A/F Ratio's to put the boos up to 16 psi constant or should I go back to the tuner and get him to adjust it? ( would rather it not cost me more on a retune)
  20. Cheers for the feedback guy's, I think that the chance of doing damage to the engine may have been the big factor on being conservative with the actuator and the tune in general. My tuner is a great guy but he will alway choose caution over what a customer would like to try and make the car do (I asked for 350-370HP) from everything I have researched it should be able to do it quite comfortably (engine is in good health and supporting mods are there) I just wanted some opinions on how the graph looked and if there was anything glaringly obvious that could need to be attended to. I'll admit to a knowledge gap when it comes to these things and believing what one person tells you without looking into it and trying to learn about it is just plain out negligent.
  21. It drive's pretty good but feels like there is more power to be had and is falling short. I have attached the boost graph with an overlay of the previous tune. I have an EBC but it is not in use atm the tuner did not want to use it (wanted to tune it on the wastegate) Should I reconnect it to stablise the boost drop. The wastegate was set to 22psi when the turbo arrived but was wound down to 17 by my tuner (worried too much boost may kill the ring lands)
  22. Hi Guys, I have had my R34 GTT for about 8 months now, I have spent a fair bit to get it to this point but I am curious as to why my graph looks the way it does and isn't smooth like so many others I have seen. I have the following mods on my car: Hybrid FMIC Bosh 044 in tank Deatchworks 600cc injectors Sard FPR 3" turbo back exhaust Yellow Jacket Coil packs Hypergear SS1PU (set to 17 PSI on the wastegate) Z32 AFM Power FC Below I have supplied the dyno sheet and I have a few questions: 1.Why does it plateau in several spots? 2. What can be done to make it a smoother tune up top? 3.Should I be looking to move away from the Power FC at this point? 4. Who is known for there Power FC tuning skills in the brisbane area? 5.Is the A/F ratio where it should be?
  23. Yes, there is Happy laps on the 18th at Lakeside. we could probably do a meet and greet that week as well. Check here: http://unitywater.com/About-Us/Careers.aspx Unity is always looking for people and some admin roles will be coming up shortly. When are you up next ?
  24. Sup Bishes, Anyone doing anything with there car atm? This forum has been slow lately time to poke you lot with a stick Now that is done, It's time we all got our asses into gear and got our memberships sorted out for the following reasons: Happy Laps at lakeside will be restricted to members only from now on. Happy Laps at QR will be Cheaper. Chris will only rape our wallets a little bit less on Security gear for our babies (only speculating on the level of rape, Chris is a good guy with mad skills worth every coin he charges) Motokhana...enough said Cool stickers. Skidpan days 2 events every month. While membership is not mandatory and is not required for our meets and usual tomfoolery, It will make your ownership of an Import a lot less likely to result in the police taking your licence by providing an outlet for you to unleash your inner race driver or skid kid. I will be making a lot more effort this year to be involved with club events and happenings, and I encourage you to do the same. February seems to be the plan for weekly or fortnightly meets to start up again, please provide us with some input as to what night and what venue you guys are interested in.
