  1. Joe what mods do you currently have done to your car? Do you have aftermarket suspension?
  2. Not unless your making a car for only mountain runs, Is this going to be your daily driver or is it a mountain run car.
  3. Most people only remove it if they are drifting.
  4. HICAS is a standard steering assist (rear wheels) Most people leave it on you can however get a HICAS lock bar this will disable it.
  5. I think skyline steve's missus and sister will be there Joe so your missus will have someone to talk to.
  6. Do it Joe you know you want to, As for mechanics depends on mods as to who is good for them.
  7. nah just at Indian Brothers Morayfield 7:30PM get there a little earlier if you wan to have a pre chat tahts what I will be trying to do.
  8. I am gonna purge this sickness with flame
  9. I have developed a cough too (hope thats what you said) so bring on the curry.
  10. OK 1st thing: Wednesday night 7:30 Morayfield - Time and area sorted (Chris will you be attending this northside meet?) location - We doing indian brothers or fasta pasta? Excuses 1st Q - I had a cheap FMIC on my 33 held pressure really well depends on what power you want to make if it is 200kw+ then spend the money on a good one to avoid pressure drop a FMIC doesn't really make power but it can sure as shit kill ti. 2nd Q- A boost T like the one I have in my 32 is great for starting out with and are good for making as much pressure as your stock turbo / wastegate can make, when your looking at serious numbers ( above 200kw's ) or want multiple boost settings then look at an electronic system, Note some manual ones are prone to spiking Boiracer Give me a ring and drop round I'll take ya for a strap in it and you can see if you like the ride of the V1's they are a shit tone better than the ones that were in it. Everyone else We are looking for Idea's for cruises and group events for northside so have a think about this during the week and we will have a chat about it wednesday night (locations, times, venues of interest blah blah blah) I also have some news regarding some functions that may become available to us later this year or early next year remind me to let you all in on it on wednesday night.
  11. Ok so what's the plan for this week? It will be a northside meet this week the questions are what night? what time? where? I vote Indian Brothers on either wednesday or thursday at 7 or so. Thought's / suggestions ? Oh yeah I took the skyline out to Kingaroy over the weekend drove really well and I got the Blue led dash kit in with no problems (tested all the led's before I reassembled it)
  12. From what I can see you have major issues I may be able to help with a few things here: tcs light / slip light stays on - This is common on R34's and is usually solved by putting in new coil packs (jjr, yellow jackets, splifires) this is what I did to solve this in my car. Leaking gasket of unknown origin - take the heat shield off the turbo and grab a length garden hose put it to your ear and put the other end to the manifolds (turbo and exhaust) check it a section at a time, this is the easiest way to see what is blown (I had a similar problem with mine it was my turbo manifold gasket - replaced with ultra copper gasket maker and it has no problems now). Boost gauge / controller issues - buy an electronic boost gauge / controller that is known to be quallity manufactured IE: Apexi AVC-R (cheaping out on these cars will really break the bank later on down the line) If your car is still having issues with these things after this go see a mechanic that has skills with skylines don't take it to joe blogs down the road as they tend to have very specific issues. also check for perished hoses on the throttle body ( I found 2 on mine and it was in damn near immaculate nic everywhere else)
  13. Cheers for the hospitality and conversation last night boys, we had a good little run down and back although we should of left one person behind.
  14. Very nice yours will hammer along nicely when all the work is done, yeah the 34 is working out really well it has a few minor things to fix up now but the dream is slowly becoming the reality. Excellent turn out shame you couldn't make it out handful and joe as it was a great little drive, The westies are always hospitable and amusing so it was worth the drive.
  15. This should be a good night then, we have quite a fair few people turning up tonight it would appear 7pm south bound bp for you northies then on to meet chris at pizza capers then it's time to roll on over to the westies (Chris can lead in the freshly revived Subi)
  16. Awesome news on the subi Chris. Maybe we can play spotlight at your place ash ill bring a few "spotlights" get a bigger meaner dog
  17. Heads up us north lads are heading down your way tomorrow night (B&R meet) seeing as you lot are too lazy to come up and see us.
  18. We will put a stop in at pizza capers (castledine cnr of gympie rd and beams road ) at 7:30 this will allow those who are hungry to grab a quick feed, and someone to collect Chris (If he is still comming that is if the subi isn't up and running). Then we will proceed down to Chapel Hill B&R
  19. Chris Can you grab those window switches if you are able to and bring them tomorrow night
  20. Was that a smokey and the bandit reference. Yeah the one between the ulman road and buchannans road exits we will meet there on thursday at 7pm I am unsure if we are doing dinner this week guess we will put it to a vote, we will rock down to castledine to grab chris and then make our way out to chapel hill Baskin and robbins to visit the westies for a bit then cruise back home.
  21. Southbound BP this time.
  22. Welcome Joe. We do alternating meets depending on the week.(Usually Wednesday Nights) 1 week we do a castledine meet at pizza capers and the other is usually fasta pasta in morayfield (possibly indian brothers ) On occasion we do run down to meet with the westies (there too lazy to come and visit us) This week we will be doing a thursday night run down to see the westies the week after will be wednesday again up at Morayfield.
  23. The 34 Lives!!!! And the 300 is gone Gotta dial in the boost controller. and take her for a good long drive.
  24. Chris don't forget the window switches. forgot to remind you until now.
  25. The car is a fresh import I didn't think I looked like a dealer wonder what they'd think if I was bald I was already stopped and parked after taking it for a test run and answering a phone call from work when they came racing in and parked the car across the road in front of me and told me they were stopping me for a random breath test and played drug quiz with me, Bosses missus is a cop at dbay mentioned her and they were sweet when they saw I worked for unity. - Side note everyone knows Morayfield drug dealers drive commodores At 5500 rpm it starts to have issues with passing the boost through because it's a return feed intercooler I need a straight through to improve flow. turbo gasket isn't gone after removing the heat shield I have discovered that the turbo manifold is missing a nut gonna call RPM tomorrow and ask if he was aware of it.
