  1. Hello all, I have a question around L24E heads which i was hoping you guys could help with. Does anyone know the differences between these two heads? Build a L6 and was thinking of using either a L24E E88 or L24E N47. Were these sold at the same time or one after the other? I guess i will go for the better of the two or whichever giives me the higher static CR i will go for (standard). Its a non turbo application. any help appreciated, Peter
  2. thanks for the offer mate, at this stage i will browse ae86 and see how i go. if no luck i might get onto re the yahoo account.
  3. After talking to many people on this one it looks like it is a bog hassle to work through the RB30E business so i am leaning on standalone, or megasquirt. once i have found out more i will revisit this. Wolf 3D v4 sounds quite good for what you get so far.
  4. I do like the look of them but had concerns on their weight. I wonder if their GTR lite model is safe to drive on the street. Has anyone had any experience with import monster?
  5. thanks for the reply's. i am aware of the megasquirt option but was thinking along the lines of nistune if possible. If the RB30e ecu can be reflashed then why not? Would megasquirt be a better option? Also is there a difference between L24E injection manifold and L28E?
  6. hi all, i was wondering other than otomoto where do you guys look for/source old jap wheels eg longchamps/other SSR? is it just a matter of being patient and waiting for a set to come up in for sale? how do yu go about getting them direct from japan? [second hand]. cheers.
  7. I have a L28 efi and was thinking of trying to install a RB30e ecu so i can get a nistune. Has anyone done such a thing? i.e. RB30e loom and ecu with L28 EFI manifold. With this i was thinking of going turbo which brngs me to my next question - what to do on the distributor front. Since it would have RB30e ecu and loom was thinking RB30e afm and somehow getting the RB30e dizzy and coils to work. a shoehorn may be required. anyway anyone who has dabbled with the RB stuff on a L series any help would be much appreciated.
  8. Would you be interested in $60 including postage for the purple R33? if yes pm me with payment details.
  9. I think the best sounding pods [if sound is your game] are stainless. i miss my blitz SUS power whistling under the bonnet. However, being made of stainless means heat soak is even worse than a paper or foam equivalent [and the whistling may bring unwanted attention]. And dust filtering is not the best on the stainless but from memory not quite as bad as foam. paper seems towin on that front. I have 'heard' oiled K&N cones in some instances cause problems with AFM's, but then again some people swear by them. The 3A as previously mentioned always seems to get a good wrap. If you want japanese i bought from nengun and it seemed pretty well priced.
