Reason for selling is simple, have new engine getting built and no longer need this. Nothing wrong with the engine, was going to use it, but things have changed dramatically. Engine Build List: Acid dip and crack tested block Bored and Honed Arias 86.5mm Forged pistons (standard comp from memory) Shot peened rods Crankshaft grind and balanced ACL race series bearings ARP head and rod bolts Modified oil pump The head was fully rebuilt to standard specs, as the standard RB25 intake & exhaust ports are rather large from factory. Heavy duty pressure plate and full face rag clutch plate. Nice and easy to drive and has been bullet proof reliable. Selling for $4000.00 neg, no low ballers please.

  14. Willing to separate or still sell as a complete package for $2000.00. GT3582r and Dump Pipe $1000.00 Manifold and External Gate $450.00 Fuel Rail, Injectors, -6 Braided Lines, Billet Fuel Filter and Turbosmart FPR800 $300.00 Custom LS1 Coils and Leads $400.00
  15. Hey guys. Up for grabs is a complete 400+hp package. This setup has produced a comfortable and reliable 424rwhp at 20psi on my RB25 for the last few years. The package includes a genuine Garrett GT3582r ( Polished front cover and .82 rear housing ), black HPC coated stainless high mount manifold, 3.5inch dump pipe which is heat wrapped, external gate with screamer pipe, BMI billet fuel rail with 620cc top fed injectors with -6 fittings and custom LS1 coil conversion. The turbo has done roughly 5-10,000k's in the last 6yrs, as it doesn't get driven much anymore and no shaft play. The turbo is still fitted to the car and can be heard running but unable to be driven due to no rego. Water lines will be included as well. Asking $2000 for the lot as a complete package. Not interested in separating as this point. Contact Brad 0407 166 639.
  16. You have some good points, Hychill is a much colder gas and is more efficient then R134a. I'm interested in knowing how you can state that he has less wear on a/c components due to lower pressures? I deal with a company that has done excessive testing with this gas, as they rebuild compressors and repair systems regularly, and see the damage this gas has done to the components. From what this company has said to me is the oil's used with R134a aren't compatible with Hychill due to the dryness of the gas. They have seen more compressor failures since this gas has been introduced in Queensland. The drama with repairers using this gas, is that most of them have no experience with a/c in general and have just got on the bandwagon thinking they are going to make masive profits. The companies that use this gas, in my opinion, don't do the correct testing required first before they use Hychill. When gas leaks out of the system, WHICH IT DOES LEAK OUT, oil that pass around the system comes out with the gas. When this happens it starves the compressor of oil and wears the components inside. Now, when an untrained person doesn't do the correct testing procedures or repairs, they use Hychill due to it being unharmful to the environment and they don't worry about repairing the system, is when this gas becomes dangerous. As the gas leaks out once again it starves the compressor again of oil and thats when most compressors fail big time. Not only that, you also have a highly flamable gas leaking into the engine bay, which call me crazy, is a recipe for disaster. If a compressor has failed while using R134a, which it does, all it's going to do sieze up and stop working. I have been informed by a rep last week, ARC Tick are making people who want to buy this gas, be licenced to buy and distribute the gas for now on. R134a will be phased out in the next few years and replaced by a gas that is going through testing overseas and will be used firstly in cars like BMW, Mercedes, Volvo etc. Leading compressor company Sanden, are working with this gas to make there compressors and oil's compatible. Until this happens i'll stay using R134a unless they do more development with Hychill with oils etc. Hope this info provided gives you another out look on the subject. If anyone else wants to know more info, I would do the call around to companies that build compressors to get there opinion before you make your decision.
  17. Merry Chrissy all. Play save and be save over the break.
  18. Hey bud, sorry man just saw your post, been flat out lately. No problems at all, would be happy to check it out for if you haven't fixed it yet. Call my mob 0407 166 639. Tried sending you a PM but wouldn't let me.
  19. With the mentality you have, I would. I'll explain it in simple terms for you then. The gas is drier then R134a and other a/c gases, friction creates heat, then bang.
  20. The price of gas has gone through the roof. From the beginning of the year to now it has increased by just over $200 from about 3 months ago and just over $600 from the beginning of the year. You can thank the government for this. Gone are the days where we could just regas and send you on your way. Everybody has to be licenced to handle it and buy/sell it. We get audited by ARC when ever they feel like it and check out our gas records to make sure we are follow there rules and regulations. The gas companies supply it keep putting the price up every couple of weeks, so my suppliers tell me. I've had to increase my regas price from $185 to $220 just recently. I offer an inspection for $50 which includes a written quote. If your a/c isn't cold anymore the gas has definitly leak out it doesn't just get used up. Regasing is only wasting money that could be spent fixing the problem. Just a warning for everyone out there, if you hear of anyone using a gas named HYCHILL, STAY AWAY FROM IT. There have been reports of it down south exploding on repairers and a few container ships have had some containers blow up due to this gas being used. It's pretty much like LPG and smells like it. It is banned for use in Queensland, but some companies sell it.
  21. Mad effort yesterday guys. This thing is so dam quick. Hope today brings you more luck and times keep dropping.
