  1. Jes guys, my wife drives her 33 auto and is turbo everyday with our baby in back and never has had a drama with loosing traction one bit. IMO, it's got to be the way you are driving. My 32 has 430 at the rears and never had any issues. Its drivers on the road who panic and drop in speed when it rains who cause accidents. If ya can't handle a little bit of water then you shouldn't be driving.
  2. What does it smell like? If the rings aren't sealing correctly it will have that combustion/oily smell. Makes ya feel a bit sick in the gut after a while. From what I've seen and heard, it only has happen to motors running CP piston and ring combo. Just keep an eye on it mate, if it does stop with more k's, get it checked.
  3. My did the same thing, even blew a bit of oil out of the catch can, that was even after running the engine in after 5000k's. Found that after the motor ran had done approx 7k, the breathing stopped. On the other hand, a mates 32 GTR does the same thing and has done more k's then I have and he's using CP pistons and rings like you. I had read somewhere that the CP rings had dramas with sealing properly and scoring the bore, but I think they fixed that problem. See how it goes with a few more k's on the engine, it might settle down.
  4. Hey mate. Soz for the late reply. They 19's
  5. Thanks. Much appreciated.
  6. Hey mate. Was just wondering if you could find the part numbers for the both front door rubbers and rear tail light assy, on a 1993 R32 4 door at all???? V.I.N HCR32297424 MODEL RCR32GFSLAA Cheers.
  7. Thanks man. Yeah, haven't been 100% on doing the gtr bar. Thinking of maybe putting another standard bar on, or a standard bar with a gtr lip. Not to sure yet.
  8. It started as a completely stock GTST and over the years it became a bit of a sleeper. In the process changing the front bar to a GTR bar and a couple of other changes. Hope you all enjoy.
  9. Hey man. It sounds like you got a switch problem. Inside the switches they have separate contacts for left and right headlight.
  10. I thought, if the car didn't come out with 1 you didn't have to have 1. But in saying that, the wife got pulled over the other day, as the rear spoiler light wasn't working, and she told the coppa that we are removing the wing in a week or two as it's getting a full respary, and we aren't putting it back on. Well, he recons by law we have to have an eye level stop light mounted on the window????????? I've looked and haven't found to many that are going to fit the curves nice at all, so I'll see how we go. My spoiler has been off now for a couple of years and never once been pulled over for it. So who knows mate, but there must be a law somewhere bout it.
  11. Hey guys. Just a question on who has played around with a r33 auto? I'm looking at maybe modding 1 and putting in my 32 if it's worth doing. The car makes 425 rwhp. I'm trying to find an alternative option and drivability then going a more expensive type auto's, as the car does get driven on a daily bases from time to time. Cheers.
  12. In the DIY thread, there is a step by step guide to help you modify the original speedo gear.
  13. Done one of these at work the other week. Not cheap mate. The clutch kit comes with a new flywheel as the factory one is non machinable, if it hasn't been changed before. Genuine want close to 1500 (approx, don't hold me on that) for the kit, and the flywheel they supply is non machinable again, but if ya go to repco they are cheaper by around 500 (again approx), and comes with a machinable flywheel.
  14. Is your speedo working? If not that could be your problem. If it is, it might be the module under the parcel shelf. Hicas lock bar will get rid of the problem. Just make sure it's done properly.
  15. My fav pic.
  16. The only thing I have against them is the leg room in the back and in the boot. They are very shallow in the boot, but gives you a good excuse not to have more then two ppl in the car. I've never had any issues with mine and to me its always being a little different them others, even though they are now getting popular. The wife has a 33 4 door and they have a bit more room in them. Makes them a better practical 'family car'. Either way I love them.
  17. Mine at Jambo last year. Will be changing it again next year. Not a hundred percent on what I'm doing colour wise yet.
  18. I'd say mate the cat is probably stuffed and blew out maybe???????
  19. Nah. I own a white 32 4 door not the black GTR. Thats another mates. Yep, Highroller member!!!
  20. yeah mate. Thats my mates car. He just got it painted and new wheels under it. Its done at Gavin Woods shop at the moment getting some shit sorted.
  21. Hey guys. Was just wondering if anybody could shed some light on whether it is important to have the solid water pipe connected to the bottom of the plenum. I have had the plenum on the car for a while now, but would like to keep as much heat away from the plenum as possible, as I believe this is the reason skylines have hot start issues (pending on mods). (Mine doesn't have that problem, as my tuner has rectified that when he done the tune)
  22. Yeah mate. Should not be a problem. Mine sits for up to a month with starting and I don't have any problems. I also have a cteck charger connected to it so the battery is also good. The tappet noise you have, in my opinion is a problem with oil the type of oil you are use or they are on there way out.
  23. Mate they are just a cheap tyre. 235 45 19. And I am talikng brand new. It's not easy finding a set of Jap rims that don't have rash on them for a decent price and that suit your ride. If they don't have rash on them they are still asking high prices for them. I went and checked out s/hand jap rims before settling with what I have now, and I will never believe anybody when they say,"has little rash" on them. Thats my opinion, not everyone elses and it is what I have experienced anyway.
  24. It's totally up to you mate. I've bought a set of 19" speedy rims from this company and they look good. The thing that ppl have to keep in mind, is that not everybody has 4k plus to spend on jap wheels, so what ever you can afford mate is up to you. I bought the rims only off them and put my own tyres on. Again I wasn't going to be spending an absolute fortune on tyres either, so I put a set of $180 tyres under her and away we went. Oh yeah, my car has 425rwhp and I don't have issuses with traction.
  25. Beautiful car indeed. Gl with the sale mate.
