  1. the first thing i did when i started modifying to my ride, was to get rid of the engine harness quick smart. i'm an auto elect, so it's easy for me to say replace the harness, that i know but with age of the nissan harnesses i know what problems can happen. i believe that if the harness is shabby and you have the coin replace it. as for the microtech, i wouldn't waste my time. ( i'll probably get shot saying that ) there are plenty of other choices out there. pick one that your tuner is able to tune ( not microtech.). i've gone through two ecu changes. i started of with a haltech e6x, which was nothing but problems from the word go. (advised to my old tuner). i'm now running a wolf v500 and i'm loving the way the car drives. it drives like it has a standard ecu. i have alot of bolt on upgrades and a fresh 25 and made a comfortable 423hp. i understand what everyone is saying bout the pfc and i think it is one the best plug in computers around, but you still run the risk of the factory harness causing grief. thats just my opinion.
  2. well, happy bday then mate.
  3. looks like you have mate. everyone is intitled to their opinions, some just take things the wrong way. i understand what sshatch is saying and trying to explain to people, but as i said people are intitled to their opinions and thats why we have forums so people and ask questions like ya self and get answers. NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE, but what is use of a forum, when all people wanna do is bag each other out, when all they wanna do is help out and give advise. sorry if this offended anyone, i'm just an on looker, looking in.
  4. sorry dude. didn't realise you had a vehicle stolen before. i suppose after a while you would get the shits and not care bout much. why bother put ya heart and soul into ya pride and joy and have it destroyed or stolen by some wanker. understandable.
  5. yeah i know there just cars dude, but when you thick of it, how would you feel if your car was stolen. to be honest i'd hunt the f**ker down and kill him (just my view only). i'm very passionate bout my cars and other peoples cars especially collectors and me skylines. another customer of mine had his car stolen from a paint shop. it was a genuine vn group a ss. it had just finished getting a fresh paint job and was put in the back of the shed with other cars jammed in behind it. they moved every single car out of the way, jumped in and drove of. don't know what happened after that, but the car has not be seen or recovered. i feel sorry for the people who have had their cars stolen, you could say its like losing a family member. cheers for the reponses guys.
  6. hey man. brought a speedocable from nissan to suit my 32 gtst. was pretty cheap and i think it's the same as the gtr one.
  7. how ya going mate. as ol mate said it very debatable on what is reliable. most people when they fit a thermo fan just bolt the thing straight to the radiator. in my experience, if you spaced the fan out the same distance from the radiator, where the viscous fan sits and build a shroud, like the plastic original one and mount the fan to it, at least the fan can draw the cool air in alot better and cool it sufficently. thats the next thing i'll be doing to mine when i replace the standard radiator. hope this helps mate.
  8. FARK dude.thats too cheap. if i didn't have a kid on the way and i didn't just 6k on more mods to mine, i would snap that up. good luck with the sale.
  9. a message to people who own rare, collector or just have a vehicle that is their pride and joy. for the people that didn't watch the news tonight, there was a guy on there, who i use to deal with through work, had 2 vehicles stolen from him from his place. one was a genuine ht gts monaro and the other was a brougham. ( think thats how you spell it ). this is not the first time i've heard of it happenning. another instant was an genuine xy gt falcon. the guy was at a show down the coast, got home, went to work the next day, came home and his car was gone. i would hate it to happen to anyone else, as being a car enthusioust, just be careful when showing ya car at the next car show and take note if someone is very interested in what you have, cause either you could be nexted or someone you know could be. i know these cars are different to what we own, but they are sort after vehicles. cheers guys.
  10. here's a couple of mine.
  11. count me in. be good to meet alot the members since i've only joined this year.
  12. from memory the relay for the coils is mounted in the passenger kick panel near the computer. power is supplied from a block fuse, i believe it's rated at 25amps, in the fuse box in the engine bay. check if you are getting a constant positive on the thick white wire, orange should be ignition feed and it should have a constant earth as well. relay pin outs should be 1 and 2 are the coil of the relay and, 3 and 5 are the contacts. if you bridge the contacts of the relay with a bit of wire then you should have power at the coils. see if the car starts.
  13. yeah mate doesn't matter what way the current flows through the windings. its just a coil of wire. if you have can supply power to the fuel pump and it runs then the computer has power to it. either you don't have the trigger out of the computer correct or you have a faulty relay. just check with a test light that there is a negative prime feed from the computer. it will only be on for a couple of seconds. from memory the fuel pump trigger feed is a black with pink trace. not to sure on the 25 motor but thats what it is on the 32's. (pretty sure. lol)
  14. should be. under crank just make sure you don't have a voltage drop on the earth side. get ya multimeter and select voltage and connect one lead to the earth on the battery and the other to the engine. you should not see anything greater then .5volt...... also check the positive side of the coil under crank to make sure you don't have a voltage drop. under crank you'll expect to see the voltage drop to 10volts at the battery and no less at the coils.
  15. i would double check to see if the coils are earthed to the block. meaning that the rail they sit on is earthed.
  16. i don't think it's a computer problem as he has an injector pulse and pulse to the coils. the cas sends a pulse to the computer and the computer outputs to the coils and injectors.
  17. yeah mate. same sort of thing on my 32. its wasn't wired from factory to act as a condensor fan but as an aid to help with radiator temps. if you have a test light just check to see if you have power on one wire and an earth on the other when the a/c is turned on. if you have then the fan is stuffed. if you don't then it will only come on when temps get to hot. there is a switch on the bottom of the radiator, if you bridge the harness side not the switch side you can make it run when ignition is on. hope this helps.
  18. have you check to make sure u have a positve feed to the coils, an earth and pulse feed from igniter.
  19. hey man. wat a fat ride. i'm speech less. AWESOME.
  20. hey mate. try peter from rpm at morayfield, just got my r32 back the other week and very happy with everything he has done. he's very professional in wat he does. i agree with ol mate bout having a microtech. you'll get a better tune and drivabiltly out of a better computer. the wolf v500 is probably best value for money i believe, others my think not, but i have one and perfer it over the haltech i had. good luck.....
  21. i agree. i have seen and heard of a few out there running 20psi and have lived to tell. it all comes down to how well ya tune is. good luck.
  22. Hey guys. wont be able to make, don't me car back till friday. very excitied though. haven't driven it in 3-4 months. but count me in for the next one though.

Still at tuners. Picking up hopefully friday. Tuned by Peter at RPM PERFORMANCE AND DYNO at Morayfield. Will post graph when i recieve it.
  24. yeah would be keen to meet and greet a few skyline owners and just chew the fat. live in reddy so not to far go. should hopefully be getting me car back from the tuners this week or next week. but you count me in for future meets. a suggestion for mountain cruisers. maleny and mont ville are a nice cruise on the weekends as well.
  25. to be really honest to ya mate from what i've heard the rb25 box internals are pretty much the same as the 26 box just without the transfer. i'm running a 25 box in mine, yes it is alot tighter then the 20 box but it is heaps stronger. you need to modify the crossmember and the speedo drive needs to modified as it is a transducer type and the 32 were cable driven. i found a company in springwood brisbane to modify mine. looked pretty simply how they modified it if you have the right gear i suppose.
